Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Happy hour surfing led me to Crawfish Cafe, so I had to stop in and see what they were working with! I ordered the mojito, and it was a solid choice. It had a refreshing lime-forward flavor with a nice little zing that made it perfect for cooling off. If you enjoy a citrusy, refreshing cocktail, you'll probably like this one. Of course, I couldn't leave without trying the Chargrilled Cajun Butter Oysters. They were okay...the Cajun butter had good flavor, but if you've read my reviews, you already know I'm pretty picky when it comes to oysters! They just didn't quite hit the mark for me this time. I thought it was just right. For starters we ordered hush puppies and seafood gumbo. The hush puppies are really good and I also liked the tartar sauce. When the seafood gumbo came out and it was sat on the table, I smelled a foul odor. It smelled spoiled. I told my man and he said he thought it was the crab, The crab smelt funky. He did tell the server and she told the manager and they removed it from our check. We think maybe the crab was frozen and or spoiled. I ordered The fish and chips. My experience was solid, the service was good the food was exceptional & the restaurant is pretty clean itself. I was craving crawfish & it's my first time having it for 2026. Very strong lemon pepper flavor. Then we went ahead and got 6 pounds of their crawfish. Two pounds of "the mix" (lemon pepper & garlic butter), two pounds of "the grail" (garlic butter & Thai basil) and two pounds of "the signature" (garlic butter & kickin Cajun). Got it as spicy. My favorite is the signature since it had the most flavor but the grail had more of a spice kick. All the sauces were buttery & spicy. However, I felt that they should've let the sauce soak into the crawfish a little longer to give the meat more flavor. Corn, potatoes, sausage & egg were cooked just right. Don't get me wrong, I love me a southern sweet tea but the one I received was beyond sweet. So I switched it out for sprite instead. At the end I ordered their gumbo to go. I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't salty just wish there were more sausages in the gumbo. Overall, I'm satisfied. The Chinatown location is the one I've frequented the most, but seeing as it's been closed for renovations, it's been more or less this location of nothing. (#1) The parking has been problematic on their busiest nights, sharing the space with several other eateries, so know this ahead of time during their busy lunch and dinner hour. A wait is likely given no reservations, so finding time for parking might not be so bad. The interior is tight but they've done a decent job at maintaining large and small groups despite how busy it gets. I've only come here in large groups, but the feast is guaranteed every time. When crawfish is in season, there is no better place to be. When it comes to the sauces, I am all for the grail mix, which is garlic butter and Thai basil. The coco loco is an excellent sauce as well, and the kickin Cajun most definitely has a nice kick. Other recommended items are their oysters, garlic noodles, boudin balls, and egg rolls. Overall, the service is good but can be tough during their busiest nights. This creates a frustrating and unfair experience for customers. As someone visiting from California, this feels especially unreasonable and excessive. Lunch date with the man and he decided on this place from tiktok. Our waiter was a doll and might I add the mini games on the table paper was a cute time passer even for adults. Here you will get standard service. Nothing special that I can note but nothing bad either. The cracklings and cheese, crawfish empanadas, crawfish egg rolls and wings with the Cajun dry rub were all just ok. I probably wouldn't get again as it's not my favorite but my friends really like the egg rolls and wings. The garlic noodles are saucey and actually pretty good. The char grilled oysters are REALLY good. From what I hear this is one of the best you will find in Houston that's closest to Nola style. Sometimes they come out really charred so it's probably best to request to not cook it too long if you like them a little juicy. The Original Cajun and Texas Cajun seasoning are dry seasonings for the boil (no butter and all that extra sauces stuff). This is my preference for eating seafood boils and it was soooo freaking good on the crawfish and crab. The original seasoning is the better flavor hands down but it's just a tad too salty. We went Saturday evening and there was a 15 minute wait - not bad for such a popular spot. They have seating outside where some groups were already waiting. Once you get a text you can check in at the front. We ordered five pounds of crawfish with corn and potatoes. The potatoes come in three and corn is calculated individually. The crawfish portions were huge and absolutely delicious. We got the original sauce with medium spice. We could definitely taste the spice during our meal and loved it. The sauce was so delicious my friend had to order white rice to make her own crawfish rice bowl! I wouldn't recommend the garlic noodles - it felt overly salty with not much garlic/ other taste to it. The gumbo was not bad but the portions were tiny, so I recommend sticking to the crawfish. A friend had been wanting to try Crawfish Cafe for a while and I was happy to get to try it with her. It was AWESOME! After reading reviews, we decided to get there around 4pm on a Friday to try to beat the crowds and have better luck with parking. She was able to get street parking and after I drove around a few times, I was able to get a spot in the main parking lot. There is also a small lot in the back but it is very narrow. Once we entered, we had a spot inside but ended up moving tables because the vent was blowing hard and it was very cold. Andrea was our waitress and she was top notch; friendly, helpful, and gave honest recommendations (crawfish eggrolls!). The crawfish were big and really tasty! We tried the Tex Cajun and it was very flavorful. I had the Cajun butter as dipping sauce and highly recommend if you like to dip your crawfish. It had an almost curry flavor to it.
