Reesha, unfortunately you've lost a customer. This place continues to be a revolving door for barbers. The new guy, who cut my hair almost recently 3 weeks ago is now gone after he started just 5 months ago. Is this turnover in the barber industry normal? Or is management hard on what I think are really talented barbers? Looking for a new barbershop in the area. Again, great cuts here, but I would like to continue to see the same barber more than once or twice. read more

Made an appointment online for my son on a weekday afternoon. We arrived on time and were greeted right away. The shop is clean and well kept. There are 8 chairs/stations. The only male barber at the time of our visit took my son to his chair shortly after. Like most thirteen year olds, my son is very, very particular about his hair. He told the barber exactly what he wanted, which was something along the lines of keep the sides short and keep the tip long. The cut didn't take long. We were out in under 30 minutes, maybe even under 20. I was pleased with the cut. read more

OPENLY ANTISEMETIC One of the first times in my life, truly speechless. I have been coming to this location for about 6 months and the last 5 or so haircuts scheduling with Mustafa who I got along great with and cut my hair and beard very well. Although I do not practice, my family is Jewish. This is relevant to the story. Obviously Mustafa and the other staff members are middle eastern/Muslim. But I did not care at all. To me, a normal human being, they are just other people. And they seemed to be great at their jobs. Until today, towards the end of my haircut, Mustafa tells me he is from Iraq and he asks me where I'm from. I tell him I was born here in Atlanta. He asks where my family is from? I tell him my mom was Scottish and my dad is Jewish. And his eyes went wide when I said Jewish. He immediately starts asking about Hitler. How many did Hitler kill? 6 Million I said. "Almost." he lamented. I tell him about my family who left Europe escaping the Nazi's, in hopes it might get him to see me and other Jews as people. He switches the subject back and forth, voice raising, between Israel/Palestine and the Holocaust and the conversation starts devolving even faster. He said that Hitler was "not a bad guy" and was "just doing his thing" KNOWING THAT I AM JEWISH. This became extremely heated and I paid and left after much shouting. Do not give this location any of your business. I do not know if they all share his hateful beliefs, but no one disagreed with him and at a minimum, they employ someone who holds these beliefs. read more

This place will hire anyone. Worst Haircut I've ever received. I've had the same hair style for years. I explained what I wanted and got a completely different haircut. Had to go home and buzz my hair it was so bad. The guy also didn't know how to use a straight razor and left me bleeding in two places. read more

This is one of the best barber shops I've been to. I'm usually uncomfortable in barber shops or just usually don't have a consistent hair cut. I've been to REESHA 4 times now and it is hands down my favorite place to go now. For the service and quality, the price is totally reasonable and worth it. I been a customer of American Barber Shop for many years, mostly at the location by the Connection, but I once had an awesome haircut and beard trim by Jay at this location. Yesterday, I made an appointment with Dustin for today at 10am (this is a Saturday). Apparently, Dustin didn't feel like showing up to work today, so after waiting ten or so minutes I took a seat with Ricardo, who proceeded to butcher by beard like he was either mad at me and/or he had never seen a beard before. I stopped the butchery before he could do more damage and stormed out. I paid the $45 for the "service" but the manager refunded my money (which frankly was the right thing to do). I told her I couldn't even go to another barber to fix the damage because he had literally shaved parts of my beard away to the skin, shaped by full mustache into a shaped, pencil like mustache, and shaved the sideburns away. I am thankful for Covid right now so I can wear a mask to cover up what he did to me. read more

American Barber Shop has a relaxed feel to it. There are TVs mounted to the walls and it has a laid back atmosphere. There is also a sense of cleanliness which is extremely important to me. I scheduled a cut with Dustin. When I arrived for my appointment there was no waiting and Dustin took me back right away. My haircut is pretty straight forward, but I could tell that Dustin had good attention to detail and was making sure the cut turned out great, which it did. I went for the first time to Reesha's to get my hair trimmed and shaped. I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived for my appointment early, but they were more than accommodating of my early arrival. Aster was my stylist and she was quite good at her profession. My hair is long and I wanted it to set better on my head but didn't want to lose too much length. She did a wonderful job. As far as the facility is concerned, it is kept clean and has a very relaxed vibe. I am planning to return the next time I need a cut, and I recommend that you book an appointment as well. I walked in to REESHA during lunch hour on a Saturday to request a classic cut and received a friendly greeting from the receptionist. Even without an appointment I was seated within a couple of minutes with Isabella. I had a photo on my phone of the style I was going for and she asked me a few pertinent questions and then proceeded to do a fantastic job matching the look I requested. She was cordial and professional in providing a pleasant experience. I was very pleased with the result and plan to make this my go-to barber shop. read more

Awful!! They don't speak English and do not understand what a trim means. They annihilate and cut off all curls.

Idk what to say, I've had my hair cut here several times and always had a decent experience. But today i received the worst haircut I've ever gotten. With zero instruction the guy decided to cut an inch and half off my sideburn, he would've taken more had I not stopped him. Then he spend more time trying to style and part my hair than he actually did cutting. Got home and looked at the hair on the top of my head is long enough to touch my eyes while the sides is what I called a low 3 maybe 4. Maybe just get back to the basics of giving good haircuts and then worry about styling. read more

This is the second time that I paid ahead for a waitlist appointment and never received a time confirmation but was charged. Customer service just sucks. I've called some 10 times in 3 days and left voicemails to the operations manager, but just like the first time I went through this, they are no help at all and now I am down some $80 without a haircut. read more

Thankful that American Barber Shop is open and practicing great protocols to allow me to get my first haircut since early March! This was my first visit. Since I booked my appointment online, I was able to arrive at my appointment time and go straight to the chair for my haircut. My stylist kept her mask on the entire time and used clean instruments. No razor shave or hot towels right now, but that is absolutely understandable, given the circumstances. I definitely recommend you go see them to get your post-stay-at-home haircut. One of the best barbers I've been too. Very clean and nice environment. And the staff are all super friendly. It is about $25 for a haircut and they offer a military discount at $22. You can make an appointment but they also take walk ins. They cut your hair how you like and they also shave the edges with a straight razor and will trim your eyebrows. The also put a warm towel on your head and massage it which feels nice. It's more expensive than great clips or something but the quality of the cut and the customer service is well worth it. I always feel like a million bucks walking out of this place. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I hate to give a three star here. I have been going to this shop since they opened. I went to the one on exit 13 before then. In fact one of the owners used to be my barber ( who is one of the best barbers I have had ). The barber I use now is excellent. So this is in no way taking away from the skills there. It is a suggestion to stay a freaking barber shop. The shops look great and give you that old barber shop feeling. However, for sometime now they have slowly turned what is a American male refuge into a freaking Fantastic Sams. You walk in to get a shave, and it looks like a barber shop. Your barber is good with a straight razor so feels like a barber shop. Then you close your eyes for what is normally a peaceful barber experience. The WHAM babies crying, you have three women trying over talk each other and the crying baby. Two of them barbers , the third Ive seen there last several times I have gone in ,and still have no idea what she is doing there other than talking on the phone loud enough so everyone knows she is doing something. So, you don't know if you died and woke up in your personnel hell trapped in a airplane with crying babies and your wife's friend group, or your at a Supercuts. All I am saying is you spent a lot of money looking like a barber shop , and you have great barbers. Just try not to act like a fantastic Sams. I am not dishing on Fantastic Sams either, because they have a place in the market too. That is where you take your kids under 5 and where all the stylist are women and they can talk as loud as they want. read more
