Terrible experience, went in for a trim on my beardd. Was very specific about just straightening it up and cutting split ends and giving an edge. She used the clippers over and over and removed inches and a bald spot under my chin that I saw on way home. Not to mention she had to call another barber over to help finish the original shave. How can you have a barber who needs help workIng on paying customers faces. After seeing bald spot I i turned around and went back. The gentleman who originally helped her finish the first time was very nice and cleaned it up by cutting it even shorter. (Not his fault) He tried to go I've me gift cards for 2 free cuts. I didn't even take them. The fact that he felt it ok to charge me anything for wwhat happened was insulting and showed the character of tthe shop. Recently moved back to the area and had to give in and find a new barber. Checked out reviews and decided to give American a try.. score. Walked in, expecting a little wait, I signed in and my butt didn't get to hit the seat as I was called back. I never like the first visit to a new barber, you usually describe what to want never knowing for sure how it's going to turn out. I got lucky on all counts.. I have been going to Amanda for a couple of years now and I have never had a reason to complain with the service that I received. She is polite and professional everytime I show up for an appointment and does a phenomenal job. The space is clean and comfortable. You are greeted when you come in the door. I've gone here every 3-weeks for 12-18 months. Ventage barber shop. Comfortable chairs. And they blow the hair off you with a compressor. Leyla is very talented and pleasant. She has an eye for how men should wear their hair. I consistently like how she makes me look. Now, Reesha will cost you more than Great Clips. If 'cost' is your primary criterion, you should continue to get an ultra-basic cut at Great Clips. I have been looking for a new barber since moving to the area. Today, I decided to take myself and two of my son's in for a haircut and I believe we have found our new spot. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. My youngest was a huge fan of the decor. Overall, a finding quality barbershop that I can share with my boy's is a wonderful experience and will be a return customer. I started going to the All American Barbershop shortly after it opened and had great experiences. Even after I moved to Florida I would wait until I could get back to Georgia to get a trim. But now everything has changed, none of the original staff is there, like Ben, who gave great shaves and hair cuts. Went there one month ago and was very unhappy with the haircut and price. Won't be going back again. When I went in lady in first chair on left of counter asked if I had an appointment, I said no and she proceeded to tell me to sit down in her chair. She seemed agitated which should have been my first indication of not having her cut my hair. Then she was rushed and cut my hair like it was a contest. Did not straight edge shave my hairline to make it tight. Mind you I am a 60 year old man balding and not a lot of hair in the first place. So it wasn't a difficult cut. Then she had the balls to charge me 40 dollars for a ten minute cut with a number one adapter. Then electric shave my hairline. First time there was stellar. This one carved it in stone that I will no longer return. Especially since I went there from Flowery Branch where I live. A lot of other hair cutters closer. It's sad that was such a memorable experience lace the first time. Sorry for the honest review. But her service and the price was unforgivable. read more

Wonderful place! My wife has been going for about 3 years and she's always been extremely pleased with how her hair turns out! Ben is her main barber, but she has used other barbers there and they're all talented and have amazing personalities! I've been going for about a year just to get my hair trimmed with Ben as well and it's always AMAZING! Khalid messed my hair up so bad that I was crying in the chair. I gave him simple directions of how I want my hair to be faded and he didn't listen. He shaved off half of my head when I wanted a SIMPLE mid fade. I am now left looking like a got a half done buzzcut. Khalid was my man before he gave me this horrible haircut. My brother raved about this shop once his wife found it off a review on a Facebook community post. While I was in town visiting from KC my brother stated we are going to a life changing barber shop. And he was 100% on point. The staff was amazing. The shop was outstanding. The barber gave an amazing fade that I am beyond happy with. I visited here a few weeks ago hoping to find a barber I could trust. I've been going back to my barber in Greenville, SC for quite a few months when I'd visit the office which wasn't ideal. Most people know that I'm super picky about my haircuts and I like using the same person over and over. I'm one of those who's used the same person for years. I can easily see that happening at American Barber Shop. Pricing is on par with other barber shops I've used and not overly priced at all. The woman on the far right back chair completely messed up my sons hair and that's with me showing her pics and telling her not to go up too high on the fade because if she did it would look more like a military flat top. Khalid is the best barber that you will find in the area. I started going to him 4 years ago when he worked at a shop in Alpharetta and have followed him to his new place in Cumming. Although it is a bit of a hike for me now, it is well worth the drive. Khalid pays close attention to detail and always provides you with an excellent cut.
