I was recently diagnosed with cancer and started chemo I wanted to cut my hair super short before the chemo started making me lose it. Place is great and staff is friendly. My wife cuts my hair and due to her pregnancy I had to get my hair cut else where. I haven't been to a hair salon since February, 2020 before Governor Newsom ordered all hair salons to temporarily close for the next almost 6 months causing me to learn how to cut it myself. After 4 1/2 years, I was referred to this studio by one of my friends and referred me to Helen. So I decided to make the drive all the way there from Hayward and did a walk-in. I carefully told her exactly how I wanted my hair to be cut and which parts not to cut with giving her some pictures too to visually see. Helen didn't rush with cutting my hair and instead, took her time which was really nice. Sometimes she'd double-check asking me if I wanted so-and-so part this short or to leave it longer. It took her around 20 minutes to do my hair as it doesn't take long to do at all. She did a wonderful job and so I was very pleased with the final result with such good quality too! I felt really comfortable in the chair while she was working her way with the scissors, blending shears, and the hair clippers. Helen is very nice, intelligent, and has a nice sense-of-humor too! Very nice, clean place and reasonably priced too! I highly recommend it and definitely recommend Helen. read more

If I could give this place a no star I would. Went in to change my existing blonde for a not too far off change and came out with horribly damaged off putting color and had to pay for it! I knew right away the color was wrong after she finished rinsing it. Had to go back the next day to correct it and now it's orange! Will never go back again.
