As fate would have it Jeff's wife has a yoga studio Amd he invited me to come by. When I got home I checked the Yelp reviews Amd their website. I didn't see "Yin" on the schedule so opted not to sign up. I played golf with Jeff a couple weeks later Amd he explained they call Yin, Surrender. Well I signed up for the $30, unlimited classes for 2 weeks... for new yoga people only. The website is very intuitive and all the options and special deals for first responders and military are detailed. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and felt welcome. In Vegas I got a sense of clicks and a cool kids vibe. Here it's family Amd warmth. The Surrender class was led by Taylor. She was very good. She took us into a spiritual journey, accompanied by traditional yoga appropriate music that help spirit out life's noises Amd allowed me to clear my mind Amd be present and in the moment. The room started out warm but now hot and then all of the sudden you realize you're sweating. Please note that Surrender is not about pushing or exerting yourself it's more about meditating and stretching. This is my first day in 4 years that I've taken a yoga class and I feel great! If you're looking for a hot yoga studio that you can feel welcome and get a great workout this is my spot. What are the benefits of hot yoga? 1. Boosts flexibility 2. Preserves bone mass 3. Burns calories 4. May help regulate blood glucose levels 5. Promotes heart health 6. Helps manage stress 7. Improves depression symptoms Namaste

I decided to check this place out thru Classpass when I just moved here last August to explore the…read morearea. I'm so glad I tried it out, because it became a weekly place to go to. I haven't tried their yoga classes yet, but I was going there almost every week for their arts/craft workshop (ie. candle workshop). Seriously, it's so super therapeutic for me. Aside from yoga and arts/craft workshop, they have tarot readings in a separate room across from the restroom. The owner is super cool and nice. Her and all of her staffs are always helpful with good energy, too. One of the reasons why I gravitate towards that place, lol. Each time I'm there, I ended up purchasing something--plants, crystals, rings, essential oils, etc. They have super cute things and I cannot resist, but to buy something :) I spend a good amount of time just browsing and it's the most joyful feeling. Lastly, there is ample parking outside at the lot; and a restroom inside the store.

There were vendors there that you visited to get a sticker for a little prize at the end. I had a great experience with my tarot reader, Wendy the Witch. I'm grateful I had gone, because after karate today, I was feeling super unmotivated, but I felt a pull to go. It was just what I needed. The other vendors had a great selection of goodies, and I wanted to get a little of everything... definitely want to purchase their products at a later time. I had fun checking out the fun little gifts found around the shop too. Sheena is a great owner: I love her energy, and I'm grateful to have met her at a previous Yelp event. I can't wait to try out more workshops there! Thanks for an awesome event!

I had seen the advertisement Mindpose had where you could get 14 days for $14 and I decided to give it a go. I signed up and went later that night. My first class was absolutely amazing. The instructor was so welcoming and so kind to me. The second class was not as great--I have found that every instructor sometimes has different teaching styles and also different ideas of what the class consists of. With this specific class, we were doing like a two minute plank in a 98 degree room. Whew. I tried another class that was a lot more about meditation. It was interesting but probably my least favorite just because of the several minutes that she had us holding our necks in a position I couldn't do too well because of the injury I still currently have. I understand that we are not being forced to do every move but there is a lot of pressure to follow along and even more when there is not an alternative option being given. We are supposed to be guided and I don't really want to lay there and look like a lazy bones just because I am restricted from doing a certain pose. I loved a bit more of the meditation and I like when they seem to "guide our spirit" by talking to us about life stuff too (like dedicating the class to someone in mind, releasing negative energy). I really love the music and the atmosphere that Mindpose provides for people. The instructors have all been kind and I love the towel we get after. I wish there was a bit more consistency, even the temperature varies 10 degrees and seems a bit unpredictable. The location is very convenient and I enjoy the dim lighting a lot.

We paid for a hotel room to be able to make the early morning flight, to be able to make the "mandatory orientation" in Salmon the night before the retreat. We paid for an additional "package" to cover all flights and hotels from Boise to Boise. After sitting in the Jet Port for 3 hours we were able to find out that the orientation is not mandatory for us. After reviewing all materials, it is clear there is conflicting information and lack of ability to talk to anyone in a timely manner. Can't comment on the actual rafting trip.

The classes with Pilates reformer machines are $30, so if I go more than twice per week, I'm better off paying the $240/month membership fee. They have punch cards for other classes (15 for $225). Each instructor so far has been helpful. They know how to push our limits without causing pain. Two have given me their business cards for personal sessions or to get questions answered. Nice. Melissa and Kevin at the front desk are friendly. The women's bathroom has two toilets and two showers. Looks like their childcare center is fantastic. Parking usually isn't a problem. The main reason I waited so long to join was because I wanted afternoon classes--not morning or night--but I've been able to find enough classes for my schedule. After I downloaded their app and the MINDBODY app, I've been able to schedule and pay for classes online. Even at midnight. I needed to reschedule a class that had extra payment, so hopefully I won't get charged twice. I've been happy with this studio so far. It's ridiculously close to my home. I thinks it's ironic that it's next to a good hamburger/ice cream diner where my youngest daughter worked for several years. I wonder how many people work out then eat back all the calories they just burned. Ha. Or the other way around--people feel guilty for eating so much then they go to a fitness class. The other members seem to be from all different fitness levels, so it isn't awkward for this newbie who was out of shape.
