I was a walk-in customer today at Reflections Salon in Beaumont. The proprietor, Maria Valdez, gave me an excellent haircut at a very reasonable price. My hair grows fast so I made an appointment to return in 6 weeks. Her salon is very clean and well organized. She was very nice and professional. She asked me how I wanted my hair done and then cut it exactly how I wanted it. I was super pleased and got an extra business card to share. They're open 9am-5pm, Tuesday through Saturday. On Tuesdays, they offer Senior discounts. They don't accept credit cards so I paid in cash. They are definitely my new go-to salon. I don't use hair color but they do offer it. read more

I will not be back and can not recommend! While my hair looks healthier because you cut off the dead ends, but you ( Maria) cut my thick, curly hair into a triangle shape. This is how I looked already when I came in....same shape, you just cut it shorter. To a curly hair girl, this shape is undesirable, it tells us it is time for a haircut. You didn't even blend in my bangs. You were in such a rush to get out of your shop, and I, being the last one got all of your sloppy work. I will get it fixed but not by you. She not only made me sit there for four hours, she literally fried my hair and cut it too short. I'm now losing my hair and too embarrassed to leave the house. I found this place by accident and then noticed the first review. The address clearly states the location it is not the owners fault that Sara W who wrote the review didn't check to see the location. This review is mainly directed to Stephanie, who has been my stylist now for about a year. I followed her here from another shop. I DRIVE 2 HOURS JUST FOR STEPHANIE TO DO MY HAIR. I have had brown hair (natural) for over 15 years. I finally got the courage to go blonde. Stephanie is honestly the only person I trusted to do it and - well - she did it! It looks amazing. I constantly get compliments. I plan to go back for touch-ups and deep conditioning often. Not only did my hair come out amazing (I will post photos once I upload them), but she did everything in her power to keep my hair healthy as she knew that was of utmost importance to me. It has been about a month and my hair still feels very healthy and I am happy with the color. If you are looking for color, definitely go to Stephanie. She does AMAZING work. Zero stars... Maria is horrible, rude, and although shes been in the business many years, she is not up to date on current styles. As you can see none of the pictures are of her work lol for someone in the business over 20 years you should see tons of pictures of her work on here. I called to see if they could take me as a walk in and Maria, the owner, was kind enough to take me. She was a life saver because I needed to cut my hair for an upcoming work conference the next week and I had put this off for last minute. I couldn't have chosen a better salon. The store is clean and calming. The prices are well set. Maria, who cut my hair, has been in the industry for something like 25 years, 9 of them I believe in this area. I felt comfortable right away and her experience was evident. She also has a sweet personality. She helped me decide exactly how to cut my hair, offering suggestions but never over pushing her opinion. In the end I walked away with a very well done hair cut and style.
