Went to Briannah for a cut and balayage. I should've looked into the site more bc I was unaware that she was a jr stylist and owners assistant. Of course I was told over the phone she knew how to do the style etc. The haircut was awful! And the "balayage" was turned into full highlights. After complaining, the owner blamed my daughter "for not really knowing what she wanted" They blamed her hair type, as Briannah sat back and said nothing. Eventually, she said they talked about an a-line. As you can see there is nothing a-line, balayage about it. Just a chopped up mess. They were pushing the blame on anything other than themselves and not owning up to this being a REALLY bad job. After trying to talk over and manipulate the situation, the owner offered to use her time for free. I said no and asked for my money back. They gave me what was said the cost of a haircut $35. Mind you it originally cost me $215 for this. In my opinion, no salon should let their customer walk out of the salon with that hair. PERIOD. It's completely unacceptable. This wasn't a situation where my daughter didn't know what she wanted. My daughter was specific on wanting a balayage on the phone and in person, which this is clearly not. Cammie F did such an amazing job on my hair, and I'm a tough critic when it comes to my hair. Especially since this was my first time going to a different salon, the stylist before hand had been doing my hair for almost 5 years. I like my colors bright and bold and I want it to pop. I showed her a picture similar to what I was wanting, gave her an idea for a color pallet and she brought it to life! She was super friendly and honest. My hair had been blue previously and we had some struggles getting the blue out. My roots were also super dark (natural color) and about 4ish inches long cause it had been so long since my last hair apt. She was more than willing to take the time to get the blue out without damaging my hair or having to bleach my hair all the way through the ends. Not only was she experienced, caring, and friendly, but so were he other colleges and stylists. When the other stylists did not have clients they would come over and learn from Cammie on how to safely and successfully pull the hard colors out my hair. The salon is nice, clean, and they also do little contests occasionally. At the time of my apt they were getting ready to do a selfie contest, which was pretty cool. I also lovvvvveeeeee the hand soap they have in their bathroom. It's some Aveda mint stuff, it's amazing. Sierra cuts my 6 year old daughters hair and she looks forward to her "girls day" every 8 weeks! Love this place! read more

I took my mother for her appointment at 12 was told in their words the stylist she was booked with didn't do "mens haircuts" I said my mom a woman wanted a trim and once again was told it was a "man's cut" and then after I told them I was offended by them referring to her short hair as a man's cut they changed it and called it a pixie cut. Instead of saying the stylist didn't specialize in short hair. I don't think hair styles have a gender and after saying I was offended they brushed me off and said I needed to find joy. Very unprofessional and never offered an apology except I'm sorry you feel that way nor did they try to accommodate my mom with a different stylist. read more

Been wanting to get my hair done the way I want it for a while, saw great reviews and decided to give Salon Strut a try since I'm on vacay and I decided to give this place a call. From the very first call I asked if it was possible to get an appointment for that day to do full highlights since, I believe it was Cam who helped me and said they didn't have any openings so I told her why I needed it done today and not tomorrow because I will be going out of state in the morning so she said she will see what she could do to help and see if anyone would be available and give me a call back. 10 minutes later she called me back and said she had good news that she found someone to do my hair. I told her thank you that sounds great and I will see you soon. Not long after I got a confirmation text from April and as I arrived it was just a beautiful ambiance and friendly people, they provide coffee and water while you wait for your appointment. As soon as April arrived she was very friendly and open I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair done and she explained everything she will be doing to get that results. This appointment was fantastic April even had to push back a clients appointment due to all the work she had put into my hair ! I went from a previous "botched" hair coloring to the look I always wanted but didn't get until April worked wonders. I am from the Hawaiian Islands where everything it very costly and the cost for my fabulous hair was well worth it! I will definitely be making this place my "Go-To" Salon when I'm on Vacation! Honestly I came here a few months back but the experience I had was very uncomfortable for me. It seemed like the lady who was doing my hair was practicing on me. I did not ask to be a Guinea pig. I simply asked for some layers and wispy bangs. The hairdresser kept going up to another hairdresser and asking her questions on every step, I was not comfortable since I felt like my hair was not being professionally done like I expected. Maybe all the other hairdressers are great at cutting hair but my personal experience was bad. At some point the other hairdresser had to come to TEACH the other lady how to cut bangs since she's never done it before.
