It's has been such an amazing experience to be able to enjoy the classes they offer. All the instructors are friendly and share wonderful knowledge. I have mostly taken classes with Allison, Maggie and Marne and they have been absolute helpful and always include something new and different. The studio is clean and equipped well. 60 minutes just passes by every-time as these classes are fun workout with isometric movements, always set to some catchy rhythm or motivating music. I went here for an open house, free barre class Saturday at 10am. There is a parking lot near the front entrance of the building, that you might miss, if not familiar with the location, but I swear it's there! The class itself was pretty much ~10-15min warm up, 40 min more "intense" workout, and 5-10 min stretch/cool down. The room is spacious enough that you don't feel cramped, and they monitor class sizes so the group doesn't get too big. The instructor offered many modifications that helped each person adapt their workout for their needs, and she walked around to help people with their form, which was useful. Overall, I was pleased with the class quality and would return! They offered free cupcakes for the open house which was a nice touch! read more

I finally tried this place because they offered a free trial class. It looked very easy when I walked by this studio and looked inside. That's why I didn't want to come here for a long time. However, It was surprisingly challenging and fun at the same time. I loved it !! Even with only 3 times visits, I feel more energetic already. I'm glad I tried here. I've been a member of Barre3 - Mill Creek since they opened earlier this year. I currently go 2-3 times a week and have taken classes with several of the instructors. I had never attended a Barre class before coming here and I just have to say all the instructors are WONDERFUL. They will take the time to show you how to move through the poses if you are unsure, or give you modifications if you have an injury or just need to scale back a bit. The studio owner, Marne, who also instructs some classes is also very pleasant and super helpful if you have any concerns about your experience. There is childcare available during some classes (check the schedule), as well as a nice bathroom and a changing room if you are coming from work or leaving to go somewhere after class. I found it a little difficult to get into classes when they first opened; I think because of all the excitement of the new studio! The classes have not been as full lately (there can be 25 people max) but I would recommend signing up online ahead of time to guarantee you have a spot in class. Been going here for about three months and I really think it's worth the time and money. I'm a teacher and although they have a teacher discount, it can get pricey. If I go 10-12 times a month it really is worth it at about $10/class. I love the evening classes and think just the right amount of people are in those classes. The weekend morning ones can be super crowded but it's still worth going. My favorite instructors are Marnie (the owner), Sydney, and Tawni. The studio is clean and really welcoming. I used to do classpass on the eastside and most of the girls in the barre classes were in their early 20s and really thin. I notice this studio is really welcoming to all body types, ages, etc. I hope they can add more classes on the weekends and maybe add different types of classes (90 min?) read more

First of all I just want to say that this rating does not in any way reflect the wonderful instructors at Barre 3 Mill Creek or the quality of the classes they teach. I love the staff here, they teach great classes and the method works! The problem is with the owner- who runs her franchise in a way that is not at all representative of Barre 3. Honestly Barre 3 should be embarrassed to have her representing their brand. Marne (the owner of the studio) is rude and unfriendly and openly begrudges having to interact with her clientele. She actually told us that she's moving out of Mill Creek because she "can't even take her dog for a walk without people from the studio stopping her to chat" saying that she doesn't have time to be everyone's friend. To speak that way about and to these wonderful women who pay $130/month to support her business is absolutely asinine. Furthermore, she scrutinizes every free class pass, forbidding her staff from selling groupons in studio, and discontinued the provision of tampons from the ladies restroom- anything to cut expenses (not that the studio is struggling). Another example- I had signed up for a six month contract (at $130/month) which I thought automatically ended after 6 months and needed renewing, but because I was moving to a new city after 6 months I planned not to renew. Two months after I had stopped attending classes, I saw I had been charged another $130 after my contract expired and asked Marne to refund me for the month that I hadn't used and she said no, citing the fine print in the contract that I should have asked her to cancel the payments at the 6 month mark. I contacted Barre 3 corporate to explain the situation and they agreed with me that Marne should just refund the $130, especially since I hadn't even made use of the membership, and Marne even told corporate "no"! I am left with the conclusion that Marne doesn't really care about her clients, but is just trying to suck every possible penny out of her studio and its members. Go to a different Barre 3 studio (Kirkland, Seattle, Bellevue) if you can... and if you live too far north, then go to a different studio altogether. Update: Lol Marne. Not sure why you felt the need to add that update... I'm not even a realtor anymore (I have a great job at one of Seattle's thriving tech companies now). But I do appreciate that you left me a negative review on my real estate yelp business page despite never having used my services (the one type of review Yelp doesn't allow). That makes you look really good doesn't it? For Christmas this year, I really wish and hope for you that you find something better to do with your time than writing FAKE Yelp reviews. Marne never used me as a realtor so she violated Yelp's terms of use by writing a review of a service she had never used (she just wanted to review my personality I think #pettyAF). I called Yelp and they removed her fake review since I could prove she had never been a client of mine. So there you go. I finally found something I like ok! [I'm not an excited exerciser] And it kicks my butt. I'm not able to go as often as I'd like during the week so I have online subscription also to do videos at home. All varieties of body types and ages; I've always felt welcome and comfortable here. There are enough class times that I'm able to find something that works for me. There's a MindBody app that works great for managing class reservations. It's more expensive than a gym membership would be, but I need that 'I've signed up and will lose the $20 I paid for the class' kind of motivation sometimes. Especially when I've signed up for an early-morning class the night before. I'm always glad I made myself go. read more

I recently moved to Mill Creek and was looking for a safe way to participate in an exercise class during Covid, since I was fully vaccinated. Places were starting to open, and after finding Barre 3 online, I scheduled my first class. It was with Shayla, the owner, who carefully listened as I explained that although I was in physical therapy at the time for a shoulder issue, I still needed to exercise. She encouraged me to do only what I could, and the class members were most welcoming. My therapist was not only happy I joined Barre 3, but taught me specific techniques to use in class, to augment my therapy. Several weeks later, I have full range of motion in my arm and no longer need PT. My experience with Shayla and Barre 3 helped me progress and I'm a grateful regular in class. read more

I took 4 classes at this studio courtesy of an awesome groupon. I've done a lot of yoga, a little pilates, and really like the idea of a class that mixed both of these up - with ballet added in to boot! I also really liked that I didn't need to bring anything but myself & a water bottle. All of the props needed were on hand (including mats), and they provided towels. The lobby is open and welcoming, and the reception staff were friendly. They have a lot of benches and cubbies set up to stow your gear. The studio itself is also very open - I set up in different areas of the room each time and had no problem seeing the instructor. As for the classes - what a workout! Who'd have thought that 1 inch movements could be so intense? I loved that they made sure to work the full body, and having the barre to hold onto really allows for focusing on the movement, rather than just balance (though you're encouraged to let go if you want more core work). I did not so much love the cardio done in the center of the room. It felt very 80's workout video to me. Luckily, that segment was fairly brief. I had three different instructors between my 4 classes. I really liked 2 of them - both were friendly and offered a lot of modifications for those of us that were new and/or recovering from injuries. The 3rd instructor gave off more of a drill-sergeant vibe. I'd recommend trying out several instructors to find one that suits your needs. Good to know: Mill Creek Town Center can get really busy - allow some extra time to find parking, especially for evening and weekend classes. read more

I am basing this review on my experience with the staff, classes and facility. The instructors have all been so kind and take the time to learn your name and help you with positioning. They always offer a variety of modifications and change up the workouts for every single class. The facility is nice, clean and towels/water are provided. The location is convenient in the Mill Creek. My only dislike about the classes are the other patrons. It's almost like being in a high school cafeteria and being the new kid if you ever try to go to a class at a new time. Whenever I have to go to a new class time I stress, because they can be so unfriendly and unwelcoming. I was told I had to move in one class bc I was taking the spot of a regular. So I moved down and the lady that made me move proceeded to tell all her friends loudly how she made me move for their friend and she wasn't going to put up with that. There was no towel/water bottle/human occupying that spot, she put her towel there after I moved to save it for the friend. Then when the friend arrived she had to tell her loudly how she had to make me move and that wasn't going to fly with her...it was so immature! It's like a mini-cult of obviously bored housewives that have never matured to adulthood. I was there early to get a spot and I'm sorry not everyone plans ahead. It just feels very uncomfortable and I count the minutes for the class to start so I can forget about all the rude people surrounding me. There are a few friendly patrons, but I've rec'd so many up/down stares and dirty looks I try hard to not make eye contact with anyone. Since this has nothing to do with the faculty I did not take away stars. I've been to another Barre 3 out of state and everyone including the patrons were so nice! I've attended multiple classes so far at Barre3 Mill Creek, and have been impressed by every one of them. The receptionists are always smiling and friendly (even at 7:30am), the space is beautiful and clean, and the instructors are all fabulous. Each instructor seems to have their own teaching style - so it's easy to have variety in the types of classes simply by going to a class taught by a different instructor. All the instructors are positive, upbeat, and give killer workouts! I've taken multiple classes with Nicole - she's got such a great, infectious attitude that allows you to really enjoy the class while still working hard. When I had questions, Marne, the studio owner, was helpful and clear (and didn't make me feel bad for asking silly questions!). The studio is also in a convenient location. read more

I really disliked my experience here. Maybe it's because I went in expecting it to be more like ballet, but it's basically just Pilates mixed with whatever Jamie Lee Curtis did in "Perfect". I bought the 3 for $30 into special and they refused to refund me for the other two classes that I won't be going to, so that's annoying. read more

My Friend & I just started last week and we are HOOKED. Our first class was with Allison Scott, and oh my goodness.. we couldn't even keep up during the work out (very out of shape lol) but she rocked and it made us want to challenge our selves. So we Bought the 2 month groupon. And we've been going consistently since! All of the instructors we have had (Allison Scott, Allison B? And kate) Have been AWESOME! Every one of them has a unique twist on barre as well as personality but all of them are caring, supportive and just down right amazing. We are SO happy we started this. Barre3 Mill Creek has upbeat, knowledgeable and inspiring ladies who make exercising fun and results oriented. I've been attending classes here for 4.5 months and really enjoy and look forward to my class. All of the instructors are excellent and spend time with attendees to ensure accuracy of movement in order to inspire and help. Scheduling is a breeze on the online app or on their own website page. They offer flexible hours and open seven days a week so finding a class is easy. The workout is great and productive and you will feel the burn. Barre3 is a great choice for a full body workout with results achieved quickly. You don't have to have any former dance or ballet experience and the non-flexible types like me do okay. It's also an excellent choice for lowering stress and the flexibility benefits are an added plus. Parking is very accessible and people can feel safe in the parking lot when entering and exiting class. The manager, Allison, and along with all of the instructors are fantastic. Additionally, the business owner, Marne, will give you a serious workout and she speaks some inspiring messaging throughout the class. I just started Barre3 at Mill Creek. I have done 5 classes and have been to various time and instructors. They all are so positive and encourage you to work at your own level. A lot of modifications suggestions so you are always able to keep up. This is a great workout for all ages and some classes have quite a few pregnant ladies in them. Very clean and a large room so you don't feel crowded. Each instructor has their own style of teaching, so I don't think you would ever be tired of the same old routine. read more

I have been a member here for just over a year and I can't stress enough how much I LOVE Barre3. It has honestly been the only exercise program / studio that has kept me motivated and coming back. I enjoy each instructor's class for different reasons. They all have their own styles. My personal fave is Allison B. She is always happy, upbeat, and playful during her classes. I recently fell in love with Sydney's class as well. She is also very upbeat and happy, but whoops your butt into shape with a more intense class. I am honestly shocked at the negative review about Marne, She has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and understanding.
