UPDATED REVIEW (9/23/11)…read more Hello again all... I am back to report on my experience! So far, I have had four laser hair removal treatments, and they have all been as wonderful as the first. As a matter of fact after my first treatment, I extended my bikini line area to a half Brazilian and have been doing that ever since. I am already considering another additional area on the back of my neck. I have always been too self conscious to wear my hair in a ponytail because I have such a bad hairline on the back of my neck. Anyway, as for the Brazilian area, I've had NOT ONE ingrown hair since I began these treatments months ago!!!!!! I've had almost no regrowth, besides a few (really- like 8) strands of hair in random places down there- but that is normal since your hair grows in cycles. Those hairs were dormant until now, but they will get the 'zap' during my next treatment. I've also allowed a little extra time pass between appointments just to make sure there was no regrowth and there wasn't. This treatment truly works. My only suggestion is to avoid going for laser treatment within the few days before your period. Apparently your body is MUCH more sensitive then, and it may not be as comfortable. It wasn't the worst, but it was better all the other times. This was the absolute BEST decision of my life and worth every last cent. I do not have to shave anymore...ever!! My "lower-lady area" requires no maintenance now. Ladies... did you hear that?!?! Go to New York Laser and sit down with Ofra. The quality of care, however, is exactly what I expect from SkinSpirit: top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Roxette, my practitioner. She was so patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all my questions with thorough detail and made me feel completely cared for. That's exactly why I drove over an hour from Shirley, NY--because I knew I'd be in good hands here. I recently moved to the area and was thrilled to find a nearby location. SkinSpirit's consistency from state to state gives me peace of mind that I'll receive the same products and standards wherever I go. Unfortunately, there's no SkinSpirit in Hawaii (yet!), which is the only reason I haven't signed up for a full membership. SkinSpirit, if you're reading this--please open a location on O'ahu! There are so many treatments I haven't tried yet. Every time I visit, I see people in robes with facial masks, hair pulled back--it's clearly a full-service experience. Their website is super user-friendly too. Booking appointments online is quick and convenient. You can log in, choose your practitioner (or let the system pick one based on availability), and confirm your spot in minutes. They'll send you appointment reminders that sync with your phone calendar, which I love. One small note: there is a $75 fee for last-minute cancellations, which is understandable. As long as you cancel at least 24-48 hours in advance by phone or email, you won't be charged. I've had to reschedule before and it was no problem. This location is inside a larger building with a prominent SkinSpirit sign outside. Just go in the main doors, head up the stairs, and the office is the first door on your left--it's easy to find.
