When I arrived, I had additional paperwork and if you read the fine print, it's absolutely crazy that they can share your health information and sell or use for educational purposes. You do not have a way to opt out of that. Because I wouldn't sign this, I wasn't allowed to see a doctor and was turned away. I was alright with signing basic paperwork but I didn't want my medical information and photos to be used for data or sharing purposes. Read the fine print everyone. It was very difficult to request even a hard copy to review to bring home with me. I did speak with someone I believe her name was Alexandra? She was very professional and assisted me as best as she could. It didn't change that I couldn't see the doctor when I needed medical assistance. In the past, I have gone for skin screenings here and without being notified or asked- I had a group of five students come into the room when I was laying on a table. This was feedback I provided that was upsetting and in my chart I mentioned in the past that I didn't want this without being asked first.

It felt like far too much was done at once, especially for skin that was already acne-prone and sensitive. I was also sold a moisturizer for around $60 that ended up making my skin red and irritated. I'm sure others may have a different experience, especially if they don't struggle with acne or sensitivity, but I really wish I had listened to some of the other reviews before going. I was already considering Accutane beforehand, and my skin became so much worse after this facial that I'm now on it. Please be cautious if you have reactive or acne-prone skin.

I've been getting compliments from friends I haven't seen in months that they're shocked with how beautiful my complexion is now. Even Nirit has been admiring her work :) I used to be plagued with cysts and regular pimples most of the month, especially around my period, ever since the 5th grade. I went to so many dermatologists and tried just about every medicine they could think of. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars in makeup, masks, clay, acne treatments, gimmicks, etc... I was on the verge of going through the accutane treatment (again) and dreading the commitment, discomfort and inevitable slew of breakouts when I found and decided to take the advice of Nirit. I had nothing to lose. I've completely changed my routine to 6 products (only 4 I bought at Nirit's salon, the other two are a moisturizer and sunscreen) in addition to the monthly facials (extractions and aromatherapy oils) to get to a place i've been dreaming of the last 15 years. Though I still get 1-2 breakouts during my most hormonal week, they've been incredibly fast to heal (3-5 days vs what used to be 2 weeks) and more often than not end up going away before it fully forms anyway. Besides, i used to easily get up to 5+ cystic pimples in a single week so just having one or two makes me want to cry with joy. It's only been 3 months, really, and I'm so encouraged by this process that I can't wait to see how my skin evolves by the end of the year! I'm developing good skin habits, creating a better skin environment and am much more aware of what i'm putting on my skin. It's not the cheapest option for me, but by budgeting appropriately - and saving a LOT on what i used to spend in cosmetics and skin care products - it's an expense that i'm 100% able and willing to make. Cleo Chong was the esthetician I met with that day. My long time esthetician is now in Crown Heights which is the reason why I booked with Le Bon due to close proximity. Before I got settled in, Cleo asked repeatedly about my current skincare routine. I explained that I'm pretty diligent when it comes to natural skincare practices and have decent experience/knowledge with active ingredients in my current skincare routine including BHA, AHA, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl, Argireline, retinol/retinoids, etc. Despite explaining that I'm comfortable with the skincare brands/products I'm using, Cleo was trying to sell me on benefits of "PCA skincare." Later I realized that she's an authorized seller of this brand and I was being forced to buy products I don't even need! This was just the beginning. After the "sales meeting" we start the treatment. It began with Cleo telling me that TCA or Jessner isn't the right fit for me, so PCA peel is what I'll be receiving today?!? I was a little taken back but since she was so aggressive, I gave into her request. I remember her saying, "since I have good skin so you should trust me." I couldn't believe my ears! I have been using Jessner/TCA peels for as long as I can remember so I know exactly what to expect immediately following the procedure.
