Yesterday I came back to this spa again after a while. For the first massage after the epidemic ,i still chose this one for muscle relaxation. A soon as i entered the door,the beautiful plants and fish tank in the lobby attracted me.The front desk was very friendly to greet me . I chose Wednesdays special for 75min foot and back massage.The service area is very clean,and Masseuse Mark has unique skills of foot and back massgae. I went here yesterday for the first time, walked in with no greeting. We are asked to pay and tip before experiencing the service. The lady was very confused in the front and kept handing the machine to pay, but there was nothing on the screen to pay, so we had to help her to figure it out. Then I get to the room and my massage therapist is sick, he is constantly sniffling, trying not to cough, then randomly left the room in the middle of my massage and I heard a throwing up sound. If someone is that sick they should not be touching or getting close to anyones face. I paid extra to get cupping at the end of the massage, the guy did not seem to know what he was doing at all, he kept having to try over and over to get the cup to stick, so he just placed them on my back wherever they would stick. Then after the service ( i asked to tip cash after my service) the guy who gave me the massage was blocking the door until I tipped him & then didn't even say thank you. The cupping was one of the most painful things ive ever gone through & now today I can barley move and am extremely bruised, this was not done correctly. Never coming back. read more

I was in the neighborhood and desperately needed a massage after sleeping in a hotel for a week. Found this place and went for the combo. 1 hour reflex and 1 hour full body massage. I was thoroughly impressed. First off, there were massage certificates on the wall!!!! My masseuse used 'L' and triangles on my feet. I have been here before and had good enough experiences for their foot massage but the experience today was a bit disappointing. When I walked in and waited in the lobby the woman who finally walked out only greeted me with "you paid money?!" which confused me so I said I was there to see if I could get a 30 minute foot massage. After some looks of confusion and pointing to the menu I was able to pay and she led me back. Before she started my foot massage she draped a sheet? blanket? just over my mid section, then she literally tossed a folded wash cloth over my eyes. When I say literally tossed, I mean she literally tossed it over my eyes. I had my eyes closed so I didn't see it coming and when it startled me and I jumped she laughed. I laughed it off as well, but considering I was there because I really really needed some relaxation from a very stressful time it really took away from my attempts to get into a relaxed state. It was not professional in the slightest. After the massage part on my feet/lower legs i assisted her in pulling my jean legs down and she proceeded to roughly hit on my thighs, half hazardly stretch my legs, and lift both of my legs and drop them back down onto the cushion. It was awkward and when she was done she laughed and said "there you go". It was as if just when I would start to relax I would be completely pulled out of that state. :( read more

This spa has potential because it takes same day appointments, here are the challenges when I went in. The person who greeted me did not speak any English and pointed to a menu of treatments. I pointed to what I had scheduled on the phone and he produced a credit card machine and wanted my card. I asked him why I would pay before having the service, he could not answer me. I decided to move forward just by pointing to what I wanted. After charging me he told me , by gesturing, to follow him. He did not give me instructions in the room but I know what was needed to get a massage. When he came back I asked him if he spoke any English because I just had shoulder surgery and I wanted to tell him not to touch arm. He did not speak and began the massage. After 5 minutes the front bell went off and he left me. He came and started again. He did not have any process but he did hit areas that I pointed too. He did try to work on the arm I told him not to touch which was a little painful. All I could say is , 'no' when he tried to move it. They need to have someone who can engage and speak with client about what the client needs. Also, you should not whip out the credit card reader until services are rendered. I will not go back to this spa because I cannot tell them what I need and because communication with massage is very much needed. read more

i was making a business trip to Livermore last week. After a long day conference, I was so tired and felt sores and wanted to look for massage therapist to relax my exhausted body. I found Refresh Massage and Beauty Spa which is located on Las Positas Road in Livermore, via Yelp website. It was about 7 pm when I got there, I observed the place was neat, clean and elegant in setting. I was friendly greeted by a receptionist who also introduce to me their multi -services availability . On the whole , I must say this is a great place to go if you want to leave feeling better! My masseur, named Cathy is truly amazing . Not only does she has muscular knowledge with healing hands, she also knows a deep understanding about how the body spots worked. The background relaxation music in presence was calming and soothing . I highly recommend for massage therapy with this place! read more

My feet and back have been sore from biking and lots of walking. I'm happy I tried the 45 min foot massage and 30 min body massage for 50.00. My massage therapist was Alice. She did a very nice job. I got the deal of the day for $50. You are supposed to get 45 mns foot massage and 30 mns body massage. The woman who did my massage left me with my feet in the bucket of water for 10 mns and ended the massage 5 mns earlier so I only got a 30 mns foot massage. The massage didn't feel very good, it felt like sand paper and then I realized that it was because she was wearing gloves. Her fingers were sliding inside the glove so they couldn't really grab on the feet and work the muscles as it is supposed to. She massaged part of the leg but not the calf part. For the body massage, she didn't use the gloves, so I thought I was going to get a better massage than the foot one. She used a lot of rolling technique with her knuckles and elbows but didn't really use her hands and thumbs and didn't get into the muscles. She also ended the massage 5 mns early. I didn't want to give her a tip at all but I don't like doing that so I still gave her 10% but I really didn't enjoy this massage. I asked for her card to make sure I don't get her again if I go back. I read all the good reviews about this place so I will give it one more try with a different person. I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to my house. I usually drive to Fremont or San Ramon. I am not writing the name of the person who performed the massage because she may have had a bad day today, but I'll never use her again. My husband and I decided we wanted to do a couples massage and called to see when we could schedule a massage. To our surprise they were able to get us in the same day which was today. We were greeted with a friendly face and walked into a very relaxing and clean environment. We were taken to our room and it was so relaxing that once we were on the tables my husband said he was so relaxed that he could fall asleep. Our massage therapists, Kevin and Alice, were absolutely delightful and were hands down wonderful massage therapists. We will be coming back and hands down this was a wonderful experience. I had been here a couple of times previously, but when I walked in it was different. It has been redesigned and the staff person told me it had changed ownership. The make-over looks really good! My therapist was Cathy, a petite woman, who literally just gave me the best massage of my life. It was worth every. single. penny. It was 90 minutes of peace and relaxation and it felt Amazing. She had very good strength and pressure. I don't care for a light touch. I felt techniques I haven't before. Don't be shy! More of my fanny showed than I'm used to and my stomach was massaged. If you can get over it, it's worth it. Also, the gentlemen (sounds middle to older aged) who took my phone call appointment was so very friendly and professional. I was pleased from A-Z. I LOVE this place!! Friendly, clean but best of all absolutely wonderful massages. I can't lay flat so I always get a chair massage. They are really good at deep tissue.
