The associate manning the knowledge bar instructed me to speak with the mgr named Marcus. Let's talk about Marcus. Marcus is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff, Marcus provided one on one interaction from start to finish. Showing me several options in case one product didn't fit. Marcus is a great listener, a customer service representative must have that distinct quality, that's why Marcus was able to offer alternative selections. Marcus worked hard to deliver exemplary customer service that concluded with a sale. At checkout they have a monitor that informs you of what register you are to step to. It speaks the number. How cool is that. I would say, if you need anything from A to Z that deals with high technology or electronics, the micro center is where you need to be. Worst store I every bought from. Staff is uneducated about products…read more I had three staff members trying to help me on an air conditioner. They knew nothing about anything. Said it was out of stock. Then they ordered the air conditioner and told me I needed the sleeve too. They were wrong. I did not need a new sleeve as the one I have fit this air conditioner. Now I have to bring this big heavy box back to the store in Westbury myself because I didn't purchase it online. Get you act together. Educate your Staff & its Policy for returns.

I personally didn't really get along well with Andre, the Owner and Proprietor, but I have to acknowledge he does hold a place in Long Island Computer history and was at this location since I was a Freshman Engineering Student in College way back in 1980 and he was already well established when we first met....I don't really know when he first opened at this location? He had been servicing computers since before the IBM PC era and not many existing computer service/sales companies could brag about that. He survived through-out all the incarnations of the Personal Computer revolution and even became an Apple Care Authorized Center until Apple took that away as they did the same to other independent service providers. I'm sure that was also the beginning of the end as well as the continuing hardware price wars that he seemed immune to for the previous decades. Best of luck to you Andre.
