Geeze went into the Walt Whitman Apple store today and asked how long it would take to get someone to look at my phone and analyze the performance. The guy said 4 hours . You go in for one problem and they cant help you with it at all. I went there to fix my phone as the update broke my phone and i had to restore my phone to factory settings which i could have done at home. But i then had to reset my password but they cant help you with that all as all they can do is tell you to wait for a stupid email. So what is the point of going there at all; they should be able to help you with that but NO! I went to Apple with a coworker for the new iPhone 17 Air pre-order release, and as expected, there was a looooooonng line outside. We were both preparing ourselves for at least an hour's wait, but to our surprise, it only ended up being about 35 minutes. The process moved faster than we thought, which set the tone for a good experience once we finally got inside. When we were let in, we were greeted by Kim, who immediately made the whole trip worth it. She was the cat's meow--bright, bubbly, and extremely helpful. She got us situated with the iPhone in just minutes, and her positive attitude really made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The other day I came back to this Apple Store to help my dad trouble shoot his brand new macbook pro. The young lady who assisted us was absolutely amazing in her role. She was calm, funny, super patient and just an all-around great person. She guided my dad step-by-step through several different processes to make sure all of his data from his old laptop would transfer over properly. It felt like she really went the extra mile. My dad is a people person and they both connected on a human level immediately. It really looked like two friends just vibing, while of course, getting the job done. It's employees like that who truly love their job and make a difference in someone else's day. Made a Genius Bar appointment to get my phone serviced as I kept getting a weird notification saying " cannot verify server identity". Had already brought the issue to T-Mobiles attention; they tagged in Apple but the issue still persisted a day later so the next best thing was to go into the Genius Bar. I arrived for appointment at 3:00 PM and was immediately sent to the back. KC came over, I shared what was going on. KC took the phone and did some trouble shooting with my Gmail account one of which I was apparently signed out of by way of the toggle so there was no connection causing some apps and servers not to work effectively. KC walked me through the steps the entire way and was the consummate professional- so pleasant to encounter. Overall, it took less than 20 mins; quick and efficient. I was told by representative two days prior to wait until Tuesday for them to reboot their systems to show and reflect from the seventh generation to the ninth generation iPad that I had they had an to explain this to her. She told me I wouldn't let her finish her which was a complete and that she would not be able to help me. She asked me a question. I want to explain and then told me that I not allowing her to speak. I'm you want me to speak or you don't want me to speak after all she spoke to as if I was her forgot that the child that she had was still in her stomach and I was , felt disrespected, rudely poorly handled and totally unacceptable. Then, as I was leaving with nothing and having to make a claim with assurance, she in another manager, of which she claimed there was no other managers there to help handle the situation which came later which kindly what they could do nicely, which wasn't to do as I was walking she was laughing corner about the situation and how she handled me. The workers are generally pretty helpful and the place seems to be well stocked. One thing that's really bad about this place though is the setup. If you have a Genius Bar appointment, you go on the line when you first walk in, sign in with the worker, and they direct you to a back table where you wait for the Genius Bar employee to come over. That's all fine and dandy (although sometimes it's taken over 20 minutes past my appointment time for them to actually see me). The real problem is when you DON'T have an appointment and just want to buy something. The workers who help you with that aren't really in a designated area, they just go around helping people, meaning that sometimes it's REALLY hard to get someone to check you out. A worker is always helping someone else so you kind of just have to stand there waiting and pounce on a worker when they're done with another customer. It's pretty chaotic. read more

Awful customer service. Manager Steve is extremely unhelpful. Stood around looking at phones and accessories for around 30+ min and not one available worker came to help. Instead, security profiles customers, physically harasses them, and the manager does not care or encouraged security to approach me and one female worker could be seen silently egging the security on. Very abrasive treatment to say the least. Very unsafe to come to this store alone as security will profile and even follow you outside the store. Some of the unprofessional workers and Steve can be heard talking, laughing and waiting for their work shift to end instead of helping customers and making a sale. Would not recommend. They do not value their customer base and would rather antagonize and have threatening posture towards them. Security Left post to physically threaten me yards away from store to continue his harassment that he started in the store and even threatened violence to the person who protected me. Horrible experience should not have been so horrifically profiled and this man was so obsessed with me from the moment I walked in the store and targeted me like the terminator waiting for his moment of aggression against me and those who protected me. He came out the store to taunt me with a sinister smirk and thankfully I got a pic otherwise who knows... Why does Apple hire these types of people? Where was the manager? Made an appointment, came back at the time and checked in which is silly IMO. I mean you give a time and call me at that time, but okay. This is likely them buying more time as I waited an additional half hour for someone to get to us. He came and said it would take 10 mins and left to help someone else. Ten mins passed and we had to wait 10-15 mins on him to come back to give us out phone...LOL Now it may have been a day when they were short staffed but be honest with me at each point of contact about what's happening and I'm good. Have some sense of urgency too. The appearance of that alone helps folk to be patient with someone who is trying to show they value our time. The service itself was fine. Absolutely unprofessional! I had my mind set on iPhone 16 pro max 512 GB. I was going to purchase 2 with the new AirPods Pro. I stopped by around 1-2 PM. They made us wait in this little line that they created by unnecessarily telling the people to wait even though the stores weren't packed but we still complied. After a while, the Apple employee at the line tells us rudely that the appointment needed to purchase iPhone 16 was closed. We were bummed but we went around the mall shopping, on my way back, I could see they were magically available for appointments now? Apple was basically cherry picking their customers or is it artificially making it look like people are lined up to buy their "new model" which is basically the same every year. I know those people didn't already have an appointment because the ones having one were being allowed inside even without having to stay in the line and I could overhear them making an appointment. This was supposed to be a surprise gift for my parents anniversary but after this experience, I think I'm done with Apple and might look at other options. Disclaimer: I have been an Apple customer owning almost all variants of Apple products from Apple Watches to Vision Pro. I also know about the possible availability limits they might have on a unit on opening day but I CHECKED ONLINE FOR AVAILABILITY OF PICKUP IN STORE BEFORE GOING! And I went there around 2 PM, stores opened around 10 AM. I had wanted a 256GB variant but the store only offered 512GB, which I was fine to get, but I checked again the following day and discovered that they only have availability for 1 TB. Shame on the lady managing the line who couldn't relay out the proper information about the availability of the phones and the storage as well as the professionalism! If you have ever been to this Monster Mega Machine of a store (just kidding) the store is very intimidating I should say but the same size as most from what I can see. I usually do not go in because the crowd is wild but today I was in a bit of a rush and had a pressing question and my teen pushed me inside! My first thought there are way to many people let's leave, but a rep was like "what do you need". Like 15 seconds in with the crowd. We told her and she called someone over who called someone over who pointed out Regina across the store. I almost went to Nicole in confusion but found Regina and she is capital A- MAZING! I was absolutely DELIGHTED with her presence and her assistance. She knew her STUFF, she had quick and efficient advice and she was ready willing & pleasant while serving us! Like YES Apple- great job. The whole visit could not have lasted more than 8 minutes in this giant beast of an apple store. And I was like wow! Great work all around. I guess because I was so intimidated by the size and the crowd I didn't realize that you can actually get things done quickly. I was floored. My wife's iPod was acting very badly, so I suggested we go to the mall to see if somebody could look at it. Au contraire. When we got to the store, there were bouncers there to make sure that nobody entered the Holy Temple of Apple without an advanced reservation. They were surprised that we did not want to take a phone number and come back again sometime, when we could be helped by a pre-pubescent savant. A reservation to walk into a store at the mall? I guess, I'm too old and too old fashioned. In my day, stores were there to help you and sell you stuff. My dad and I stopped by the Apple store for his phone's battery issue. I spoke to one person who sent me down to the middle lane until another person told me that we needed to be on the right lane to set up a walk-in appointment. Jeez thank god the line move fast...I explained the battery issue to the associate holding an i-pad who took down my contact info so they can notify me when we should come back to check-in. Approximately the waiting time is an hour and 13 mins. I received my text and we waited on the left lane to check-in with another associate holding an i-pad as well. He pointed we should stand on the back of the table where kids where playing with the i-pad. No estimated time...we wait and wait and wait till another associate calls out your name! FINALLY it was our turn and the associate directed us over to an empty table with two chairs so I can explained the battery issue in details. The associate ran battery tests on my dad's phone and the battery is consumed which only charges up to 60%. Since my dad's phone is out of warranty, he would need to pay $79+ tax for a new battery replacement. GOSH make sure you remember your Apple ID password because I had to reset my dad's password for your security thing when the specialist needs to open up the phone. The associate told us to pick up the phone at 5:45pm. We got back at 5:35pm and we needed to wait on the check-in line then was directed to a table in front of the back office and restrooms. Of course more waiting...so this other associate told us the new battery was sitting on the shelves too long because I guess no one has Iphone 5 anymore lol OMG we were so happy that it was all over! Jeez you literally spent the entire day or hours sitting and waiting around at the Apple store. This store is always crowded. I've come here a few times. I've received tech support twice and bought a MacBook Air for college from here. There was a good student deal where the laptop came with free Beats headphones. The two times I needed tech support were really bad experiences. The second time, the tech guy had us waiting a few hours and ended up telling us to go to Microcenter. Then Microcenter couldn't do what I needed them to do, so the next day I came in and bought a new laptop. There are a lot of devices around the store, with people waiting for tech support, and not many people actually looking at those devices. There should be a larger waiting area just for people waiting for tech support so that if you're shopping for a laptop/watch/ipad, you can look at those items without floaters in the way. There are a lot of staff members here, but not all are well trained. read more

Called the Apple store in advance to get a battery swap done. We were told $99 for the new battery. As many know the 14 series iphones have horrible batteries that don't last long. Apple store told us when we showed them the phone that it would $650 because the back glass might break. So they basically said it couldn't be done, and we might as well get a new phone. Well we brought it to a local shop and they did it for $99. So Apple store lied to get us to spend over $1000 on a new phone when the current one was perfectly fine and just needed the new battery. Very disappointed in this fraudulent deceptive behavior to try to upsell us into a new device that wasn't needed. Apple must be struggling to sell new phones so they are probably telling the Apple stores to lie to customers that just need simple repairs. Apple=greed. I'm done with it. This is my last iphone. I'm switching to either Samsung or Google pixel after this. Apple fans have no clue how more advanced the other phones are out there. And for less money, cheaper repairs, superior batteries and cameras, and cheaper accessories. My last two trips to the Apple store at Roosevelt field were great! they must've gotten new employees or the existing employees they have have really gotten a better attitude because it's been very pleasant coming here. They're very pleasant and professional and wanting to help the customers and their needs. My last trip there I went to buy my iPhone 8+. I was taking care of right away Andy each step I had to go to from purchasing the phone having the phone set up having it turned as well as paying for it and buying other items for it was expedited quickly. this actually was the shortest time I ever experienced at an Apple Store for a purchase. Usually I am at a location for hours and hours backing things up setting things up and that wasn't the case this time. this is my fifth Apple phone and I also over the years have gotten the iPods and iPads and computers and it's a long process each time. This time I was there start to finish less than 3 hours. There were some very knowledgeable people there that knew exactly what to do and what I needed and how to help me. I brought my ipad in because it was running slow. I made an online appointment for 11:30AM. I arrived early and a man at the genius bar took my information and told me to wait at one of the tables. I waited for about 3 minutes when a nice tech came over to help me. He ran some diagnostics on my ipad. Suggested I wipe the ipad clean to see if it would speed up. After it was rebooted, I did notice a slight increase in speed. He said the only thing that might improve the speed would be to download the latest OS. Unfortunately, I had at a first gen model and it doesn't work with the latest OS. The tech was originally from Florida. Had a good experience with him. read more

I've walked by this Apple store plenty of times, but have not had the opportunity to visit yet. I have iPhone 6 +. My Wife is happy because of its large size. Also already have iPads, don't need another yet. I did want to browse around for the holidays, see what new wearables and advancements Apple has for me. The store was not as crowded as it can get sometimes, I was lucky and it was easy for me to get a sales person today. My salesperson Christian was very professional and helpful today, he was able to get me a high speed SD card for my new 4k camcorder and explain to me the differences in SD cards. It was a pleasure to do business here today and I will be stopping back when I increase my need for Apple tech. I was very impressed with the professional operation of this establishment. As I looked around I couldn't help but think of how one person can change the course of history. The world is forever grateful to Steve Jobs for his wonderful Innovative advancements. The iPhone and the Apple operating system was his "Gift" to the world and it has paved the way for all technical marvels of the future. hello to whoever may be interested... yesterday after waiting an hour and something at your place finally a young woman attended me and the first thing she tells me is that my warranty is over, because the repair of my phone had a cost of $490 dollars and how She did not know what the problem was, I just told her to try to force the restart, which she, as an expert, could not do either, in the end I told her that I was not going to pay for all that and that it was better to wait for the iPhone 14, because I have the 12 pro max and after that frustration of spending all day without a phone, at work, I decided to go home and look on youtube for the problem that caused the apple to freeze on the screen, it was error 1110. I found a video that charged me $29 dollars to download the software and finally I fixed my phone, what a pity that such a big company has such inefficient people, for this reason many of them go bankrupt.... after I had said that my board was irreparable ..... thanks for nothing I am very unhappy with the supposed geniuses of the bar read more

Of course I went into a panic ... my entire life is on that phone & not being able to get in touch with customers or friends & family put me into a tizzy. I Called apple... they wanted to make an appointment for me for the next day which of course was not an option. I don't like shopping malls but off I went & made the trek. Parked my car & had to walk the mile or whatever to the Apple store. The store was large & jammed packed. You would have thought they were giving away phones for free. They gave me an apt for 2 1/2 hrs later. Ugh. The whole thing was just so inconvenient. 2 1/2 hrs later Jonathan called me. I was hoping it was just a dead battery that could be popped out & replaced but when he did the diagnostic he said that wasn't the issue & id have to get a new phone. I don't know... I just thought Jonathan would be able to give me some different options or even pretend to care. Nope. He said he could replace my 3 yr old IPhone 6 Plus for $329.
