Love, love, love the renovated theaters at Regal. Huge comfy leather chairs that recline. A cup holder is built into the arm and a small table can be swung in front of you to place your food. The new seating is so comfortable, the best in all the area theaters. The space between the rows is large...no matter where you sit, you can easily exit the row for concessions or the bathroom without disturbing others in the row. I know there are local theaters in Downers Grove, Naperville and Wheaton that offer dining while you watch a movie and I frequent those, but I have to admit that I do like the movie experience after coming here without the constant flow of servers walking by and distracting from the movie. This theater does not serve alcohol. They have added pizza, chicken wings and corn dogs now at concessions, along with the usual popcorn and candy. Two sweet additions at the concessions stand are caramel corn and Cinnabon gooey bites. This will now be my theater of choice for the king-sized comfy seats....they're awesome!! read more

We've been to the Regal in Bolingbrook a few times and it was ok. I typically prefer the Regal Cantera in Warrenville but this time was a little different. The Regal in Bolingbrook now, finally, has some of their theaters upgraded. We went to see The Penguins of Madagascar with our kids and were so impressed with the reclining, leather seats that have drop down tables and plenty of room! Unfortunately, if you're seated at one of their theaters that isn't upgraded it's not impressive at all. They are old and tired although the screen is just fine. Now that they're working on upgrading everything we will definitely consider coming to this location rather than Warrenville. read more

In town for business. Thought id check out a movie while in town. Nothing else to do for a few hours. Decided upon this place. It's pretty huge and looks pretty nice from outside. Upon entering, the place is cool! Looks pretty modern. The kid who took my cash for the movie said they were going to be renovating and getting new seats soon. Cool man! Here to watch Sex Tape. Been here a few times over the past year. I love that you are able to choose your seats ahead of time and avoid the worry about finding decent seats where your whole group can sit together. The seats are pretty comfortable, and that some of them are "love seats" are fun. It's nice to get to cuddle w/o the arm rest in the way :) The swivel tray is good. Maybe not the easiest to use when reclined, but it serves it's purpose. They also have a lot more variety on the snack menu than a regular theater. But the prices are really high- feels like even more than the average theater prices. But, I'm sure we'll still come from time to time. Not my favorite theater, but still a nice change from the norm. read more

If you win a "FREE MOVIE" ticket from them, beware the ticket may not seem what it appears to be. If the movie is new, you still end up paying for your ticket. There is no such thing as a free movie ticket, because according to one of their employees, "this is a luxury movie theatre." I wanted to giggle if they think having the option to buy popcorn or nachos is a luxury, then I don't know what to say.. This service at regal was terrible cash registers did operate correctly use my AARP current and the register would not get take it although is in October 2018 manager and would not try it on another machine is set is not her fault. My wife and I went here for the second time on Sunday 8/23/17. #1. It seemed pricy for one adult and one senior #2. The seating was great #3. The previews were very loud, and while I am hard of hearing...I plugged my ears to hear comfortably. This was true for a few times during the movie too. #4. We happened to be in theater 12 for the new Spider-Man movie at 6:40pm. #5. Bought no concessions, as we had just come from dining out. read more

Update. 12/17/16. Dirty. Pretty gross actually. Also a realization. The bathroom is right next to the concession stands. That is both gross and inconvenient. Employees were in the way as you walked into the bathroom as they moved food displays around. Theatre for a 7pm show on a Sunday was trashed. Food and crap everywhere. Seats were sticky. The table thats built into the seat broken and wouldnt stay in position so it was on top of me most of the movie unless I held it off me. Disappointed, this was a decent place for a while. read more

If they'd stayed out of the "gourmet food" game I would have given them more stars. Pros: Seats are comfy, very comfy. Regular snacks are good, it's clean most of the time (busy times are harder to keep up with obviously) and the people are pretty nice. Plus, their app is really nice and actually works. Cons: Popcorn is mediocre and this is the third time we've had a bucket full of bottom-of-the-bin kernels. Drinks don't have refills unless you get a large and you aren't likely to need a refill on 64 oz of soda. Of course that's the plan. The small is 32 oz and I barely finish that. But the worst is their new menu. The gourmet food isn't gourmet, it's barely presentable as under-funded cafeteria food. The loaded nachos are $8 and parts of the pulled pork were dry and hard like jerky, the rest absolute mush. Visually, it was like poo. Unappetizing. I couldn't finish it. And that's not the worst of it. If you're going to get into the higher-end offerings, first, make sure it's actually higher end. But second, don't make the customer leave their seat 10 minutes later to stand in line again just to pick it up. Or -- as in my case -- hunt it down. I couldn't believe it! And they don't tell you this up front. It's only after you've paid you hear that you have to come back for it. I missed about 10 minutes of the movie coming back for my food and the movie is why I'm there in the first place! Bottom line, appreciate their standard amenities and leave it at that. Their gourmet offerings are bad and severely overpriced for the quality and "edibility". Even if it was good, missing 10 minutes of a movie ruins the customer experience. Come on, Regal. If you're going to try and compete with the big boys of dinner and a movie, at least put real effort into it. This was a fail. read more

My husband and I have been watching the movie for the last 2 weeks. The seat is comfortable and all until yesterday. We are a little grossed out because after the movie is over (Mission Impossible) my husband found a maggot crawling on the sleeve of his shirt. We told one of the employees in the front but all he said is I'm sorry about that. I do hope that they will sanitize and clean the theater as often as they can. The manager was very rude and completely unprofessional, also questioned and argued with me about my God son age in front of everyone and would not let us enter the the movies. Checked out this Regal location last weekend, for my first visit since the theater was remodeled. The lobby is relatively the same (concessions haven't changed at all), but the theaters themselves have been redone in the plush luxury seats. The seats are in sets of two, with a removable arm rest in the center to make a love seat. They do also recline. However, these new seats mean that the theaters hold a lot fewer moviegoers! When you purchase your tickets, you have to pick your actual seat, so I'd definitely recommend buying well in advance. This can be pretty inconvenient for those deciding to go to the movies last-minute, because if it is a popular movie it may either be sold out or only have very close seats left. We also noted that others in line had come to see a movie that the theater had cancelled spur of the moment, to make room for more showings of another movie. These guests were quite upset, and noted that the website had listed their movie just a few hours ago. So take care to buy your tickets in advance or check the listings right before you leave the house! We tried the popcorn, hot dogs, and soda at the concession and they were all pretty standard movie theater fare. Quite pricey and nothing special. The theater experience was nice - the theaters are comfortable, the sound is great, and the lighting is perfect. We had a theater full of teens, but even so they weren't terrifically distracting since the seats are so large and you're spaced out so much. That is probably my favorite part of the remodel - since you're not packed in like sardines, you don't have to be intimately involved in your neighbors' conversations! The bathrooms were spacious but not terribly clean. This was due to how busy the theater was, I imagine. I noticed the same thing around the concessions - spilled food, napkins, and straw wrappers were everywhere. All things considered, it isn't the best and isn't the worst. I enjoy buying my tickets ahead and knowing that I'll get a good seat, but you can do that at luxury theaters and enjoy a better concession experience/more food options. I didn't hate it, but I'd probably head to Yorktown for the same seats and better food. read more

Normally I love this theatre but today all of the seats in the whole theatre don't recline, told the people at the desk and all we got was sorry we don't know why. Would have been nice to been given some sort of break on the ticket price or something since our chairs don't work (the main reason we come here is because we like the recliners) read more

We were just told that I could not bring my 4 month old daughter into a rated R movie because she might cry during the movie... we just took her into a PG13 movie a few days ago at a different theater and there was not a problem there. You cannot beat the price of their tickets. However this place is generally a dump. My mom and sister love the convenience of having this theater close to home but I'd rather drive to another one. I never go here on weekends at night because the teenagers rule this place and make it impossible to enjoy a movie. read more

The management of this theatre is one of the rudest I have come across and for such a large facility, they do not have an electronic door which makes it difficult for people in wheelchairs to attend the movies! My spouse and I like the comfort of the seats. BUT, the popcorn is so overly salted we will NOT return. We always purchase a medium and a large popcorn when we go to the movies. But two times we've been here this fall, I had to stop eating it halfway through! PLEASE, general manager, reduce the amount of salt added to the popcorn so we can come back. Your theater is close to our home and we'd like to frequent it. And lest you think we are salt free freaks, we are NOT. I had been to this theater years ago and hated it. The outside is still gross and dirty and old, but they've remodeled the actual theaters and it's awesome! My fiancé and I were the only people in a showing of It Follows last week and we loved the reclining leather seats and trays. Picture and sound are great as well. The bathrooms definitely needed to be tended to, they were pretty gross..it still isn't my first choice theater but I am glad to see the improvements done! read more

This is now Regal Cinemas. Price point on the movie tickets are generally cheaper than the somewhat nearby Seven Bridges and Loews Woodridge theaters, although those are probably a little nicer. But Regal Cinema is generally clean, so I have no complaints! Popcorn is decent and the liquid butter of death is delicious and unhealthy as ever! If you join their free movie club you can earn coupons for discounts or free small popcorn pretty quickly (like every other visit). read more

This is the only movie theater i go to anymore! All other theaters around here are going down hill but NOT THIS THEATER! The new seats are great! Love that you have to reserve your seats now so your not showing up 1 hour early to a show to get the best seats! and their prices are ALOT better than AMC or Cinemark!! The updated reclining seats are awesome! Super comfortable and only 3 min from my house! This is my go to for all the new movies! Also love that you pick your own seats when getting tickets. Getting the tickets online makes it super easy and you don't have to stand in line when you have your bar code on your phone. read more

Great theater! It's clean, you never have to wait to long in the concession lines, and the seats are really comfortable.
