I think my first trip to Regal Cinemas was for the 2005 theatrical release of "Hustle & Flow." I've bought plenty more tickets in the 10+ years that followed. Most recently, I attended a Wednesday night showing of mother!, the new Darren Arronofsky film. I have no complaints about the actual theater: Regal Cinemas are clean, prices are reasonable, and the employees are very nice - the lady working the snack bar even carried my large soda, large popcorn, and nachos to the theater. That is quality service! My only issue is with the inconsiderate theater crowd. Some people just don't know how to conduct themselves in public. mother! is not your average horror movie, rather a psychologically intense allegory with themes that touch upon religion, climate change, and the creative process. I thought it was a brilliant film but the couple sitting a few rows in front of me had a much different opinion and let their displeasure be known. They laughed and giggled throughout the dramatic and horrific scenes and talked amongst themselves about how horrible the film was. "This is the worst movie I've ever seen!" The man stood up and announced before the end credits had even rolled. Maybe they didn't read anything about the movie beforehand. Maybe they expected a rote slasher and weren't prepared for a horror film with such intellectual themes. Worse yet, the couple was in their forties or fifties. They literally had decades to learn proper manners. This is the kind of rude behavior I would expect only from a pair of rowdy teenagers. I hope the couple sees this review, feels properly embarrassed, and reads some Emily Post before heading out in public again. It's okay to dislike a movie, but keep your opinions private and let the other patrons enjoy themselves; you're not Roger Ebert and no one wants to hear your commentary on the movie they're trying to watch. You could have walked out at any time; no one forced you to watch mother! This is why film attendance is down despite the best efforts of Regal Cinema and other quality theater chains. read more

I was hoping to watch a movie that I've been dying to watch all week, but when I arrive, JOSEPH who is a brunette, curly hair, tall boy with brown eyes gives bad customer service as he loudly, disrespectfully, asked Taylor, mind you she was TWO steps away, for a refund because we needed one and decided to share it with the whole movie theater. He had a smile on his face the whole time we looked upset. No social awareness, very upsetting. read more

Today I walked in hoping to watch a movie I've been waiting forever to watch. Unfortunately, this desire was soon crushed and destroyed as soon as Jospeh would not allow me to watch the movie. He was loud and obnoxious when he yelled out for Taylor, who was right next to her. I felt extremely put on the spot, due to everyone in the cinema looking my way as soon as he made that unnecessarily loud announcement. I think this is extremely bad customer service, because he made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. read more

Wow tickets here are NYC prices. I'm from North Jersey and our cinemas are $13 max for an adult $7 for a child!! Too expensive here, make sure you eat and drink before you come here. I would assume South Jersey should be cheaper. regal charges $18 for adults and $14 for a child what the what??? Wow!! read more

We had bought tickets to attend End Game on opening weekend. Inadvertently, we had gotten them for the Saturday rather than Sunday. The tickets were purchased through the app. Upon arrival to the theater, we realized the mistake. I was resigned to just rebuying our tickets because I wasn't going to let my kids down. When the manager, Douglas, heard about the situation, he went over and above to cancel the old tickets and give us replacements at no extra cost. He was super friendly and helpful. Regal gained a lot of respect from me that day. The theater is clean and spacious too. read more

Nice theater and employees, but there is absolutely no seating in the lobby! I had to wait for my son in the lobby , and I had to stand the entire time ! Bring back the benches! If a person felt faint , or weak , they would have to sit, or fall, on the floor ! read more

The only game in town if you want to see a first run movie in a traditional theatre environment. There's also the Delsea Drive-in, if you like your movies al-fresco. It's your typical multiplex chain that's trying to make a profit while being shaken down by studios & distributors. Admission prices are in line with other national chains, currently $10 for adults. They offer matinee and senior discounts daily. Part of the Fandango system, so you can order tickets online. In-lobby kiosks allow you to jump the queue and buy tickets with a credit/debit card if there's a long line. Very nice when they're working, which is sporadic. Expensive concessions, sticky floors, a few broken seats. If you want to see a clean film, get there during the first week of the run. They must have steel wool somewhere in the film guides, because after the first 20 showings, films look like they were laid on a dirt floor and danced upon. After an uproar about their "Twenty" program of ads before each screening, they changed the name and kept the content. You will be exposed to 20 minutes of ads before each show. Climate control is a big issue. You may bake, you may freeze. Dress in layers for each eventuality. Content is primarily mainstream populist fare. Virtually no foreign, indie or art films are shown here. Digital projection is available, so they offer regular simulcasts of sports and concert events. Crowds can be rude and boisterous, especially for popular films that attract large crowds. It is an unfortunate development in our society that everyone thinks they are in their living room and can do whatever the hell they please, so it's not so much the theater's fault. I'm not sure if better ushering would fix the problem or create legal issues. If you want to see a popular film, wait a week or two and go during off peak times weekdays, like Mondays & Tuesdays. Concessions Service was great i went about 3 times during my visit. first buying tickets with junior was fast all he had to do was scan my phone and my tickets came right out & the second time when i went back to purchase food during previews, RJ was very helpful and polite giving me my large popcorn and when i returned for a refill jake helped me right away with a drink. Overall the staff is great here and are so helpful during busy showtimes and large crowds. So if management ever reads this give those guys a pat on the back for their service read more

Been coming here for years, the place is still fairly clean and has a lot of theaters. However the prices of movies is a real turn off. The food is ok but of course is highly over priced. If I take my Wife and I and our 3 sons it's easily over $100 night. I recommend it for the area its really the closest around with the exception of the drive through down the road however I've never been there. read more

Went on date nIght with my husband here. Saturday night and lots of people. Walked in the door and there was a sign saying to buy the tickets at the concession counter. There was 2 lines to concessions and were very long. When finally got up to counter the guy behind the counter seemed annoyed that I only wanted tickets. I asked whY they didn't have the ticket countEr open and he said "it's not busy enough". I don't know how many more people they could have fit in the lobby. The other thing that held people up was he asked us to pick our seat. Assigned seating?? I thought they weren't busy. Need to change their policy!! read more

What a mess they have created. No longer can you buy a ticket at the booth. Now you gave to line up at concession stands and on top of that you have to pick your seat on their monitor! They post your seat number on your ticket. Long lines result. I am done with this place. Attention regal. Find a new customer to take my place. Sad read more

For a petting zoo, there's a serious lack of animals... Ok, so it isn't really a petting zoo but it SMELLS like one. OH MY GOD! I'm not kidding - if I closed my eyes, like on one of those febreeze commercials and someone asked me to describe where I was/what I was smelling "chicken poop, cow spit, goats, hay, pee..." that is what it smelled like. I'm not really a movie theater person as it is - I don't like being stuck in a seat, not able to get up for around 2 hours - it takes a really good movie to make me keep from squirming the whole time. Unfortunately, the movie we went to see wasn't that good. The whole time I just kept wondering what combination of things caused this theater to smell exactly like a zoo. Bad things. Bad things that probably happened to the fabric chairs - you know, I was thinking - they should make movie theater chairs out of vinyl or something and put drains in the floors so they can just be hosed off every so often, rather than made of fabric and left to absorb every liquid and funky thing that touches them and are probably never ever cleaned. I'm really not a germophobe, I swear - it's just that this place smelled so bad that I couldn't think about anything else. Also, I was wearing a skirt - I know, poor judgement on my part - but we didn't intend to see a movie that day, we just had a few hours to kill while Sprint worked on my phone (grrr Sprint) so it was even worse because my skin was touching the chair (well just the backs of my knees - my skirt wasn't long but it wasn't hoochie-short.) The staff was nice, temperature was ok, if not for the horrible smell, it wouldn't have been too bad. My boyfriend loves seeing movies in the theater, so I guess I'd go again, but not without a hazmat suit, or at least something to shield my skin from those seats. read more

I am surprised I never reviewed this theater previously. I've been coming here since it opened a dozen years ago or so. This is your typical multiplex. Nothing great. We don't go to the movies very much anymore, but I had occasion to go recently with my daughter. We attended a matinee during the week. Not surprising, it was not busy. As a matter of fact, we were the only ones who attended the movie we watched. That was actually kind of neat to not have to be concerned with anyone else. The theater was clean. There was no ticket attendant at this time. I understand that helps keep costs down. Only from the movie theater's perspective though. It cost us $16.something to get in the door. Wow! Again, that was for a matinee. My daughter wanted pretzel bites and a small fruit punch. The registered showed $6.50. I was thinking that was expensive, but it is the movies after all. Then he punched in the drink. The total was $11. Ouch! Not to mention the pretzel bites have changed since we were last here. They now suck! I know food is never worth it at the theater, but now it is just flat out robbery. read more

No complaints here except that it's an old theater. It's clean and the staff is friendly enough. I've never had a problem here but the hand dryers in the ladies room sound like they are on microphones - you can't have a conversation when one of those machines is running! ;-) read more

The quality of this theatre has been declining in recent years. When I was a teenager this used to be the place to go. Now, however, the seats are smelly, the floor is sticky, and the demographic/patrons just seem to be downright disrespectful while a movie is being shown. Concession stand is ridiculously slow. Doesn't matter to staff how many people r in line they never increase cashiers or even try to go faster. You should count on at least an extra half hour to get popcorn. Ive been here numerous times and always the same situation. It's a shame. Could be a decent theatre. read more

The theater wasn't that bad, fortunately for a Saturday afternoon there were not that many people here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The theater and rest rooms were much cleaner than they have been in the past. Hopefully they are working to improve. read more

Best thing about this theatre is the security staff. They always have a smile on their face and are a joy to shot the breeze with! Just try it one day--you may just make a friend or two! Brian--your the best, buddy!! You deserve a raise! (Just show this to the one who's cutting the checks)!! Seats were just replaced not too long ago and if the temp is too cold or too hot...they fix it! Just like that! Oh yeah, here's something you may not have known: should u want to order food but not miss any of your movie--just ask (politely) for them to deliver it to your theatre--AND THEY WILL! What's not to like? The prices? Well, they got to make a living too! And yes it's going to run you about $100 for a family of 4 to see a movie and get popcorn and a soda. But that's still not an expensive night out if you consider the alternatives. Which, btw, the drive-in down the road--sucks! Sorry...SUCKS!! You can miss an entire movie waiting on their factory lines! But not to worry because your spot is most likely going to be obstructed in one way shape or form. Funny how everyone slams a theater for being old. Yes this is not a brand new fancy multiplex, but they have upgraded the seats in most auditoriums, and the movies themselves are all in Digital projection. ALL of the staff are ALWAYS nice and kind and friendly. Perhaps if you go and be a little patient with the concession stand you can get your food. And those who complain the loudest about the concession lines taking forever? Then don't come 10 MINUTES before a show- THEN purchase your tickets and expect the concession line to be open and waiting JUST FOR YOU... And have you ever taken awhile to decide once you get up to the counter? Geesh- You go to a show- then show up more than 10 minutes before it starts. And you have to know that it's going to be busy 1) on opening day, 2) with a blockbuster like Star Wars.. EVERY single manager are people who bust their backs off waiting on people. Hats off to Mandi and Melissa as they work so hard to please others..Perhaps you don't get how hard it is to please EVERY single guest.. If the air is too hot/cold, try coming a little early so you can address it. The Managers are not mind readers. I happen to love my Regal Cumberland Mall 14. First off the movie(suicide squad was very good), BUT, the damn AC was so cold, and I am one of those "never get cold kind of people" that it took a lot away from the movie. Me and my family(3) moved 4! times during the movie to try and escape the Nor'easter that was blowing through the theater. It was barely 70 degrees outside (Sat Sept 3), and the theater temperature had to be 60!...Come on does anybody check this stuff! Secondly the "Concessions" 2 med sodas, 2 med popcorn, and a water...drumroll.. I gave the attendant 2 twenties and I got back 9! Dollars!! 31 dollars for 5 dollars worth of snacks!! How much is Regal stock? Buy some. And finally there was so much salt on the popcorn that everyone I was with felt nausea after eating only half! I get it, plenty of salt and you will buy more soda, but to much salt and it can be lethal, look it up. And this was borderline lethal. Save some aggravation and drive 15 minutes more to Deptford NJ and see the movie there.!!!! read more

Just got back from regal cinema Sunday nov. 3rd . It's Sunday !! Only ONE person working the register zig zag rope line out the door . My movie time was 3:35 I got there 3:15 , I didn't pay for my tickets till 3:40 ( $38. ) for 1 adult 2 kids / 3-d ? WOW ! We still had candy from Halloween thank God , But only 2 people working snack stand , my kids needed a drink 2 small ices & a small soda ( $12. ) WOW !!! So we mist all the previews & the beginning of the movie . THEN the lights go on in the whole theater for 5 minutes ? Service in that theater in Vineland just gets worse & worse . The employees are not friendly , management walks around doing NOTHING . And my kids like to dress up as their favorite superheroes when we see superhero movies AND no body that works there ever says anything about their costumes that always bothered ME . SO after today I will never be going back to regal cinema in Vineland n.j. Ever ever again. read more
