Giving this place 3 stars because of the disappointment in expectation. I will say I didn't do the 4D X whatever it is experience because it wasn't available, so opted for Screen X. Tickets were $45 for 2. NOT WORTH IT. The AMC theater in pompano has reclining seats and little tables for drinks at a whopping $9 a ticket on tuesdays! I'll tell you what, this'll be the last time I come here if it's the not the 4DX. So take my advice and don't even bother if it's not the 4DX. The screen x is mediocre at best. Seats are like airplane seats, the recline if you put enough pressure to hold yourself, and the screen isn't all that. Also, bartenders need training ASAP. They cannot tell you what they have behind the bar, cannot make drinks, and do not know what they're doing. Wanted to love this place, but it was lackluster at best. read more

Was my first movie theater visit in US and was flashed. There are so many different choices to watch a movie.. so we decided to watch Avatar 2 in the RPX 3D which has an amazing sound quality. This is by far the best movie theater in the Fort Lauderdale area! It's very clean and offers all of the modern amenities and features. I love all of the viewing options from RPX (Giant screen and rich, immersive sound), 4DX (moving chairs, wind, light effects all synchronized with the film on a large screen, which makes the movie feel like a 4 dimensional ride), ScreenX (immersive, panoramic viewing experience by projecting images onto the side walls of the auditorium) and VIP (larger reclining chair theaters in a private area which includes a private bar and restrooms. The VIP section also includes free unlimited sodas and popcorn). The regular screens are also really nice with large screens, and comfortable seating. After going to several other theaters in the area, The Regal Dania Pointe is hands down the best! The only con would be the prices. The movies are expensive, especially in the 4DX theater and VIP sections. If you're looking for better prices, definitely take advantage of the Regal Rewards Tuesday prices. Went to a weekday afternoon viewing of Women King. We purchased the VIP tickets, which included reclining chairs and unlimited soda and popcorn in a separate theater. The theater entry was modern looking. There is a separate area for VIP theaters, however I was disappointed to see that, although they sell the VIP tickets for afternoon showings, there was no one behind the snack counter and the popcorn machine had 2 bags of popcorn that looked old. Honestly the place looked closed. We had to go all the way at back down to the concession stands by the entrance and ask them if it was ok to get the snack from them. I'm handicapped and walking all the way back sucked. For this, I had to give 3 stars The theater itself was fine. Recliners were push button and comfy. There's also a moveable table tray and cup holders. About as clean as you'd expect a movie theater to be . My sister paid for the VIP tickets. When I come back again for a day time showing, I'll pass on the VIP and go hang with the cool kids in the regular admission theaters read more

This is a new theater that I drove some distance to see Minions in 4DX. Do I think you need to see every movie that way, nope? But, I do think you need to experience it one time. Between the constant movement of the seat, being misted with water, the wind, and the smells it was a fun experience. It is similar to a Universal Studios ride. If you get motion sickness, avoid this type of viewing. And for those of you wondering, nope, the seats do not recline. read more

I didn't give it a 5, but I really did like it. The parking is ample. Plenty of spots, big lot. When you walk in, you're immediately impressed. Great looking place. Huge! The tile floors sparkle, there are tons of screens everywhere showing the lil snap shots of the movies playing. The concession stand was good. They sell Pepsi products. There weren't hot dogs or flavored powder for the popcorn. But lots of candy and they had nachos. Our popcorn did not taste fresh and wasn't hot, points taken off there. But the staff behind the counter was friendly. There is a bar that serves alcohol. A good selection of draft beers. The person that handed us our glasses was nice but she was talking up the VIP program as I was trying to get to my movie and watch the previews. That's half the reason to get there a lil early. Now, very important part - the seats - they weren't the reclining seats that we've grown used to. I was bummed. BUT they do go back a bit and they were comfortable. I thought we bought the tickets with the motion seats, but I was wrong. I'll definitely try that soon. The bathroom was beautiful. It had 6-8 stalls. Overall, I really like the theater. I've been here twice since it has opened and both experiences were great! It's huge, clean, and although the seats don't pull out to recline they are leather and comfy. There is a small arcade which is has a good about of fun games and everything is brand new. I definitely forward to visiting for the summer blockbusters! read more

Took my granddaughters to see Sonic 2. For the of us with popcorn and a drink, I spent 100.00. The seats are not comfortable. The popcorn had a lot of unpopped kernels. It's a shame that it cost nearly as much as a theme park for less then a 2 hour show. I feel bad for a family of 4. I'm sure that there are many that will not be able to see a show at a theater due to cost. Appears to be kids running the show. Very polite just not sure of things. Service bat not fully stocked. Not sure how I'm feeling right now about this Regal. It's my first time here, this theater has been so hyped up and it's in a prime location. For a weekday, viewing a pre-release, this place is completely out of order!!! The line for concessions 28 minutes and counting with three attendants at the counters. I went to the appointed theater and the seats were dirty with fluids of some kind. Although the seats are new they are tight. I can only imagine how someone who is not of my girth and a bit more abundant would be comfortable seated here. Overall as a first impression is that I am severely disappointed. They have employees present but clearly not enough to handle the demand. On a good note the Coopers Hawk next door is amazing. This theater appears to have anarchy managing it. Waited 15 minutes to place order. First guy would not help us, maybe because we're gay? Even asked him if he would take our order with no reply. Nearly 15 minutes after ordering/paying for food from another employee was told everything we ordered isn't available? Getting a refund from the manager took too long and with no apology. VIP lounge area was out of ice and the bar closed? Theater #4; many seats are ripped/worn; visible moisture/water damage on the celling tiles, weak air conditioning and no staff. Guests intentionally sitting in the wrong reserved seats. Older guests that seemed high/drunk were aggressive to others. People sitting on the floor and with phones on during the movie. No visible staff or security anywhere did not make us feel safe... @ $32.00+ per ticket, expensive for for a total disappointing experience. In the future we'll be taking our business to the dine in AMC theater in Lauderdale read more

First time coming to the location. The place is beautiful and super clean. Employees are attentive but some do not know the menu. I asked if they had any specials when it came to popcorn and a drink, they seemed lost. Probably they were new! The worst part of this theater is the sitting. Just arrived and so far it's been regrettable. Booked my tickets online that are labeled RPX & VIP. It's a Saturday night and the place is packed. Took 10 minutes to find parking and once I enter I realize it's stuffy and hot. The ac is clearly not working. No one asks for my ticket at all as I get in the long concession line. I'm excited because I see that they serve cheetoh popcorn and dorito nachos. I wait about 15 minutes to be informed that they simply don't have either of those. I mention that it's kinda hot but am assured that the theaters are different. After spending $30 on one medium popcorn, two waters, and one candy I make my way over to the vip concession that I believe I have access to as that is what is stated on my tickets. I was told if you purchase vip you get complimentary popcorn and unlimited drinks/slushees. They refuse me in there because this simply is not the case even though it states RPX and VIP on my tickets. I shake it off because I'm running late to my movie anyway and what do you know the ac in here isn't on either. It doesn't stop there. I have a habit of finding middle seats halfway up the theater because that's supposed to be the best view right? Wrong. Everything is ass backwards here NEVER I REPEAT NEVER BOOK ROW M!! I feel bad because this is also the handicap row and you wouldn't believe the view it I didn't post it. This theater is massive and beautiful. I met Iona and she was so helpful. My friends and I went to see The Woman King 4DX. This was the first time I watched a 4DX movie. Oh boy! It was an experience. The 4DX feels like a mini roller coaster. It was amazing! I had so much fun I want to go back. If you haven't yet, go see The Woman King. It was amazing. Such a talented cast. Also, I love that this theater is surrounded by other stores. You can go eat, bowling, shopping etc... I even stopped at Anthropology. I love their perfumes. Visited this new Regal cinema to see the new Thor movie. We ordered tickets in advance online for their "premium seating" that included unlimited popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks. I was a little shocked at the $24+ sticker price but was also curious about the experience. When you walk in there's no traditional ticket desk from what I could see. I personally haven't purchased tickets in-person in so long that I'm not even sure those are even needed anymore. There were several staff members standing at various parts of the lobby - we asked a gentleman where to go and he pointed us in the right direction. They scanned our QR ticket before entering the VIP lounge area. Inside there's tons of seating and a full bar where you can purchase alcoholic beverages and you help yourself to popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks. If you want any other food besides popcorn though you have to go outside to the main lobby ordering area. The popcorn/drink area inside the VIP lounge was surprisingly clean and tidy and we saw a staff member consistently bringing out new bags of freshly popped popcorn. I was a little disappointed with the size of the bags though (SMALL). We got our drinks and (multiple bags - LOL) of popcorn and headed to our private theater. We had to go up some stairs to the theater area. The theater was much smaller maybe 20ish people max but had the large reclining comfy lounge chairs. If we wanted more popcorn and drinks we had to go quite a distance back to the lounge area during the movie to get refills. Overall, the theater was very clean (it's brand new so I expected this) but unless you eat your weight in popcorn I'm not sure the VIP price is worth it. I personally liked it for the smaller theater and comfier chairs option plus there was a separate bathroom area just for the VIP theaters. I'd be curious to see what their "regular" theaters look like in comparison but if you go see a lot of movies and are a Regal member like myself that afford you the additional perks, I think the added cost is worth the private movie experience. read more

Even though I normally stick with AMC, I was visiting family in the area so we decided to try the new Regal Dania Pointe. First appearances are great, it's modern, clean and well designed. We had VIP tickets so we headed off to the separate vip section where we got our included drinks and popcorn. The theater was a bit oddly shaped but it had great sound and projection with clean restrooms. There does seem to be a severe lack of staffing throughout the theater with horrible lines for snacks in the main section. We overheard people mentioning 20+ minute waits. If you are going to do VIP (and when you factor in the cost of popcorn and soda it's not much more) it's recommended. Standard theaters I'm not quite as sure. read more

It fell short it was mostly extremely expensive I don't know how young kids dating these days do it. It started out that hubby agreed to see Elvis this past 4th of July weekend. Buy tickets to go early and eat out afterwards. So I get tickets to the new Regal Cinema in Dania Pointe. Bought them online as well as chose our seats together. Note they charge a convenience fee and you can save them in your Apple wallet. Total cost $34.60 for two tickets. When we arrived parking was tough to find so we walked back far to get to the theater. Once inside no ticket counter you just get on line for refreshments. So we did than a young man behind the counter shouts out our line is credit card only. The person ahead of us was actually buying her ticket and seat assignment from the refreshment stand. This is a terrible idea make it a separate line I don't want to wait for eternity for a snack. So once it is our turn we get a medium popcorn, small Diet Pepsi, bottle water small Aquafina, and a small box of Butterfinger bites. Total $27.28. So we don't know where to go and I asked the guy sweeping as there is no one else around. He showed me on my email which theater to go to. Auditorium #13 to the right. Once inside very small theater and not a lot of people. We go to our assigned seats not comfortable don't go backwards. Movie was good but over $60. to go to a matinee is just nuts. Went to a 2 pm show. got there at 1:30 pm. Ck in & got in line for concessions. 15 minutes to get to counter. Now 1:45 pm. Ordered 2 hot dogs. No hot dogs ready. was told it would be about 30 minutes for a dog. Decided to order a pizza instead. No pizza ready. Again told this item was not ready either. Would be about 30 to 40 minutes before ready. Have to wait in another line for this too. Ended up spending $31.00 to get a medium popcorn, medium drink and 2 candies. Tickets were 26.00 total for this outing was $57.00. oone would think that for this price at least theater could have a few more hotdogs ready! Expensive & disappointing outing. read more

Went with VIP section that comes with popcorn and unlimited soft drinks including icee...there's a private bar in the back..seats are all right, plenty of space between one and another's party. VIP should also get food delivery so we're not missing movie or trailers for waiting all the way in the main lobby which ends up being like a 5 minute walk to VIP lobby and up the stairs to your theater auditorium for the movie. For cold nights or since theater is cold, or even people who are tired and would like to stay up...it would be nice to also serve coffee or hot tea but that isn't offered in this theater read more

The movie theater itself is great! Bathrooms were clean and our seats were easy to find. But the staff behind the concession stand we're playing with their friends/coworkers ( that we're off) which cases me to get my food late. Where we go to pick up the food they weren't paying attention or being attentive to the customers. It was a big of a turn off, on top of the fact that didn't have any nachos and the pizza wasn't cooked all the way. The 4DC experience was so fun especially seeing the movie Jurassic world. I would definitely come back. I but I wouldn't eat here. The 4d ride is a lot for someone whose never done it before. Definitely set your drink down in the cup holders and drink some because it will spill. We did enjoy ourself last but if you like to be moving for 2.5 hours I wouldn't recommend it. read more

My visit was extremely pleasing and went way better than I thought it would. Yes I went back again! Definitely had to try out the 4D experience and it was well worth it. Can you believe just like universal they have the seats that shoe water and air on you and lift you up and yo you about. The kids freaking loved it, we went to see the new Fantastic Beast film so that was definitely a fun ride. Like I said it was better than I expected, way better, it seems we chose the perfect movie to try all of the theatrics in 4d. Oh just an FYI if you don't want to I have water squirted in your face there's an option to turn it off on your seat but we were all in for the full experience. On a sidenote they also have a VIP movie theater section. In the section you receive unlimited popcorn, unlimited slushy's, and you're in a private room. You also get to take an elevator to the upstairs area for your VIP screening. I haven't had a chance to try that yet. read more

I downloaded yelp just to give this place a review because this is the worst movie theater in existence. I live nearby so I've been here a few times-- so everything I'm about to say is not an isolated incident. Pro tip: don't even bother buying a ticket. They're so ridiculously overpriced versus other theaters nearby; $20 for an adult ticket for a standard movie, and they don't even check your ticket when you go!!! You can literally just walk right in. There is never any staff checking tickets or monitoring if anybody actually paid to get in. Every time I go I feel completely ripped off. There are dine-in theaters with reclining chairs nearby for similar prices as this theater that actually care about your experience. Do not waste your money here. They're also insanely overpriced in every other way as well. I paid about $8 for a bag of Doritos that would be 99¢ at the grocery store. I didn't know it was going to be a small bag of Doritos or I would not have bought these so called "nachos" lol. An additional $6 for a bottle of Aquafina water, and $6 for a fountain soda. Once again, don't waste your money here. All this place is, is a cash grab. read more
