I have been to this theater pre-covid in 2019 and after they opened again in 2021. Both fabulous shows (South Pacific and 42nd Street), both Broadway-level talent and professionalism. The theater itself is/was called the Merry Go Round Playhouse as it used to house a carousel. I believe the building is about 100 years old. The grounds are in a park and overlooking a lake, and there is a patio area and seating to enjoy wine and snacks before the show or during intermission. The restrooms (at least the women's) could use some extra attention and/or a renovation - they are small and not going to pass a stringent cleanliness check. Other than that, the experiences here have been a fun date night/road trip. If you like musical theater, this is a must do!

Got snacks and beverages with no problem. The staff was helpful and welcoming. One snafu was purses. They have to be small. I used a tiny purse for feminine products and the older gentleman at the door was holding his small paper over it, trying to judge if it was small enough. It was right at the limit, but obviously not huge. He almost sent me back to the car with it. Another woman next to me was turned away with her larger purse. So be mindful to keep it small!

Some of the events I have been a part of here are: I have seen many live theatre shows (both local and national acts) I have come here to listen to bands. Once again, local, national, and even international performances I have watched comedic acts here... including the owner as well as famous acts I have watched movies here I have come here for film and discussion events My grandson has taken acting classes I have attended photo and art exhibits, as well as demonstrations There may be other opportunities that I am missing, but I have had the pleasure to attend many interesting events at this venue. The owners are very community oriented and have done a really nice job bringing cultural events and workshops to our small city. Definitely worth checking out!

We skipped one year and when we went back this year, it was like a whole new terrifying experience. This place is set in the middle of the woods and all you hear when you're coming down the road are chainsaws, screams, a train horn, and more screaming! I highly recommend Frightmare Farms overall the other places and if you can swing it, the VIP is worthwhile during the peak hours otherwise the wait can be a little long in the cold.

My other big thing was they really are not equipped or able to handle handicapped patrons. Not enough handicapped parking and no formal process to help patrons get from parking lot at the bottom of a hill to entrance. I am recovering from a fracture and this was difficult and had I known probably would not have done this haunt. Hayride line was insane and getting on off ride was difficult at best. I have gone to some pretty amazing haunts so my bar was set high but this was not one of them....

The story line was easy to follow and the actors were spectacular. Parking is available off street or across the street at the Phoebe's lot for a fee. There is a concession stand and bar inside that offers candy, snacks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks (even a special creation for whatever play is showing). There are also memberships offered if you think you'll go to multiple shows. A great experience! I hope to return soon!

As a regular theatre-goer here in Rochester, I was SUPER excited to finally check out Syracuse Stage. They do co-productions with our LORT theatre Geva, and I have heard great things. The venue itself is classy, well maintained, with reasonable prices on everything from snacks to wine to tickets. Every staff member I interacted with was SO friendly. Special shoutout to the AMAZING box office staff! I had a conflict come up for my original show date and they exchanged me into a new date - no questions asked. At many theatre's, you have to pay an exchange fee or exchanges are only allowed for subscribers. That kind of accommodation will keep me coming back the next time they are doing a can't miss show (helllllo Amadeus next season!) Thank you to them for being so helpful and easy to work with! Even though the show I saw was not my cup of tea, I look forward to coming back and deeply appreciate them bringing high level talent to the upstate/central NY area. We are SO lucky to have a rich theatre scene, and Syracuse Stage is worth the special trip up from Rochester if there's something you're keen on seeing!

(Or getting a more affordable option.) It draws a nice mix of repeat vendors and new talent. One of my favorite finds this year was an art stall that made a human-operated vending machine of random prints, complete with sounds. I of course had to get some snacks along the way. Right Mind Syracuse had their splatter art up this year and I thought that was neat - would love to see more experiential arts & crafts where folks can participate. A nice way to spend the morning or afternoon, especially when the weather's nice.

The…read morecostumes and makeup were phenomenal on all of the haunters. we did a haunted hayride and the haunted house and it was all perfectly scary and immersive. every room in the haunted house was so detailed and so well done. the haunted hayride had amazing scenes and the cast member leading the hayride was great too. the sets and everything was mind blowing - I highly recommend demon acres for anyone looking for some haunted fun next halloween!!

I was on the haunted hayride and this guy comes up behind me and touches my back. I got scared and yelled don't touch me. this man proceeds to climb onto the hayride and berate me till his final goodbye. told me that he gets paid to touch me and that I can't tell him what to do. told me I was being a tough guy and threatened to kick me off when the ride was stopped in the middle of the woods. When my son's game at a local indoor center ran over by almost 30 minutes, I called and told them we would be late. They accommodated us and seated us immediately upon arrival. About 10 minutes later, at 8pm, the live music started. It was wonderful music, but where we were seated was in front of the speakers and two of our party wear hearing aides. When it looked like we were going to have to cut our celebration short, our server, the wonderful Marcy, and another gentleman, worked to get us seating in the lower dining room in front. We were so grateful for the accommodations, and everyone was super nice about it. The food and drinks were outstanding, of course. Our party ordered the chicken bowl, the chippy chicken, the curd burger, a cheeseburger, and the turkey avocado. Everyone was silent as they ate! The service was friendly and impeccable (even when we really weren't being easy customers), and our night, which could have gone south so quickly, was made! And hopefully a younger, hipper crew moved into our table and enjoyed the wonderful music! The band was great and we really enjoyed it still from where we ended up! So cheers to the staff at AG! We will be back (and know where to ask to sit next time! Haha)!!
