Nice smaller AMC theater with very friendly staff. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming, which I always appreciate because it sets the tone right away. Concessions were solid, especially the cherry Coke. They actually put enough cherry syrup in it that you can taste the cherry, which feels rare these days and honestly made me way happier than it probably should have. The main downside was the seating. They technically recline, but barely. My economy seat on a plane reclines more than these did, and about halfway through the movie my body started to feel uncomfortable. The seat warmers were nice, but they mostly only worked on the back area. The bottom part of the seat didn't really warm up, so it felt uneven and didn't fully help with the discomfort. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for a smaller, quieter AMC with friendly staff and good drinks, but the seating comfort could definitely be better. read more

I usually come to this theate because it tends to be the least crowded on weekends even it's out of the way for me.It's a smaller location, 7 auditoriums but it feels quiet and cleaner--like the staffs actually had time to clean the auditorium between showtimes, definitely better maintained compared to the Montebello one. The patrons here are generally more quiet and considerate here though not always the case. My only complaint is the seating. The chairs don't fully recline, you feet is like 45 degrees hanging especially for short people.so they're not the most comfortable for long movies. Also, if you pick a seat near the front, be prepared for some serious neck strain. It's painful for me since I had neck strain and spine problems... "Parking isn't great either. The row facing Adelfa Dr has the tightest spaces compared to the other rows." However I never had problem finding a parking.. I'm an AMC A-Lister, have been for almost a year now. Went into the theater to watch Obsession, first time coming to this one because I was meeting a friend who lives nearby. Every single time I walk in, scan my ticket, get told my theater, and continue on. Today I get in, scan my ticket, "AMC A-List ID please". Uh hello? I'm not usually one to bring in my wallet to the theaters, simply because I just pay with apple pay and don't expect to get carded trying to watch a movie. No matter how much bargaining I tried to do, even showing him my full app and access to my account, I was told I couldn't enter the movie without a photo ID, as I had "no proof" as to whether the account was actually mine. Good to know I'll never show my face here again. A lot of work for someone getting paid minimum wage by a multi billion dollar company. read more

It's easy to park here (compared to some other AMCs in OC), and lines move quickly. As some others said, the seats are old and don't recline much. The theater rows also are oddly laid out and don't have much pitch between rows (you're not much higher than the row in front of you). One Coke freestyle machine had no ice and was out of some flavors, but there was someone tidying up the butter/condiments area which was nice. read more

One of my neighborhood movie theater which I frequent since I have an AMC membership pass. Plenty of parking just outside of theater. Clean theaters with chairs that recline. Good assortment of snacks such as popcorn, candy, drinks and hot items. Well kept restrooms. Often times, I get a theater all to myself ! ( depends if it's an unpopular movie.) I remember this theater when a prior company owned it and ran it as a second-run theater: it was super cheap to see a movie here but it was a horrible experience in uncomfortable chairs and theaters that smelled bad with a run down look that matched. Well, no more. Will always be grateful AMC purchased this location and remodeled it with comfortable plush seats that recline and are heated. Love that I can order concessions online and pick them up when I arrive. Projection is by laser and the sound is good too. Never had a projection issue here. The staff is generally young but friendly and attentive. A security guard is on duty during the evening though I never have concerns about rowdy or unruly patrons here. read more

I really like coming to the AMC in La Mirada. Staff is always so nice and welcoming. I have never had a negative experience coming here. The establishment is very clean and the food is good. I come here every weekend, so that should say something about this place. I like that it's not super busy at this location but busy enough to keep it in business. If you haven't done so already, I recommend you join the AMC movie A-list program. If you are a fervent movie watcher, who goes to the theater on a weekly basis, join now. It is so worth it! Love this theatre but don't bring ur kid here if they don't do well in theaters it's not a park they shouldn't be crawling on seats, talking, crying when people are trying to watch a movie this is for the people in the 7:30 goat movie today with the mom and dad just letting it happen and the dad just eating popcorn on the floor , again not the theaters fault the staff is amazing and very friendly every time but wish they would come in and check once in while and kick people like that out I'm positive every one was annoyed! read more

Horrible seats!!! I came on a Tuesday to watch Evil Dead Rise... (Corny Movie) Well make sure you have a Stubs account and that will save you some cash. Remember to buy your tickets ahead of time online or you'll be stuck with a seat on the edge of the theater and those are the worst!!! This theater has the most uncomfortable seats. The seats do not recline all the way back leaving you with your head tilted forward because the cushion on the headrest is so huge and firm!! Lol! I seriously was squirming the whole time! The location is nice for the kids in the area, lots of parking, many restaurants near by and also a grocery store for hidden snacks because these concession stand prices are outrageous!!! So if you can get passed the horrible seats for two hours... Come enjoy a movie! :D read more

Seems like a hometown secret. The movies biz has not been the same since C19. I didn't know that thisnAmc now has reserved premium seating for new release movies. They offer a full bar, beer in tap and caramel popcorn. Word needs to get out. There are no crowds and we went on a Friday night. We love the intimacy of this theatre. Our heated seats in the lazer movie we saw worked great and were really comfortable. We will definitely return. The center the theatre is in is really nice, too, and we visited the exceptional sushi restaurant just a couple doors down. Made it a to our movie right on time. Hate to compare...but Houstons' cinemas beat these movie theatres. We have full bars for sure. My first time in a theater in 2 years. I was a bit surprised that they don't leave seats in between parties. Every seat is fair game. Expect to sit next to someone you don't know and share their cooties. The seats are big however they do not go back all the way like most theaters and the seat warmer I had was broken. I wish this AMC took a page out of the Fullertons location in the comfort department. On a positive note they offer excellent maintnee prices on Sunday afternoons. Staff is friendly. read more

This used to be the "dollar theater" back in the day until amc took over. Didn't start coming here until after the pandemic because my daughter was 2 going on 3 and was old enough to enjoy movies . And since the. It has been my go to . It's a smaller theater and may not look too appealing from the outside but the inside is great . Obviously renovated since it became amc . Good sound comfy seats big screens my kids love it . I wish they had more of those pop up cardboard of the movies out to take pics with kids but it's not that serious . This is my 3rd time visiting and I love this AMC theater, it has late showings and many great options for food nearby in the same shopping center. It's a bit hidden in the corner by the street though so depending on which entrance you come into the center from, it may be a ways away. I recommend coming to this AMC if you enjoy their movie theaters. Service is what you would expect from any decent theater and it's relatively clean in my opinion. read more

We came here on Christmas Eve and there was very little crowd!! Tickets was $10.99/person. We watched Mortal Engines which was a great movie. We where mostly by ourselves for that movie. The theater was a pretty small theater where they played the movie. I did not have a chance to check the others six theaters. The sound system was very good and looks like it was upgraded. This place used to be a different movie theatre and he was a little bit run down and not clean with chairs that were not that comfortable. Now that AMC took over looks like they did a great job and renovating this place and making it nicer. The theatre was pretty clean not sure if that's the norm. The seats were reclining ones with heated seats which was good but I wish it would recline more. I like it that they had self serve drinks which is great because you can choose all the drinks you want and refill it as long as many times wanted. This place they had a big selection of alcoholic drinks. The bathroom is a very clean and tidy which is great. Parking was located a big strip mall so there was plenty of parking. But it could be very packed if you came on different day. read more

Small. Clean. Simple. It was my first time at this movie theater and I thought it was cute and cozy. The concession stand had a nice variety of options and I loved that there was a bar inside as well. I think this is standard in most movie theaters now, but since I'm not a big movie person, the bar was a nice addition for me. I also loved it was a smaller theater with only 7 screens because it meant less people. All in all I definitely enjoyed my experience there and plan on going back. My husband thought it was ok but didn't like that the seats didn't decline all the way back, and that the chairs didn't vibrate/move along with the movie like some other movie theaters do. The staff were all really sweet and helpful here. I accidentally booked a movie in 3D and the girl at the check in area was really accommodating and offered to help me have it switched. We ended up seeing the 3D movie and it was great! The theaters are small, but clean and comfy! read more

As of July 12, 2018 they got a facelift and it's owned by AMC. The seats recline well slightly (not flat) and on Tuesday you can watch movies for $5 with Stubs. We went to watch the new Tom Cruise movie and there was hardly anyone there. So it's still a hidden gem. Shhh! read more

Also, this is the first time I ever went to watch 3D from the live action remake of the little mermaid and I'm satisfied with the original composer from the original version. Small and simple. Clean concessions. Theatre rooms could use more cleaning and deodorizing. Some of the seats were not working/reclining so I notified a staff member but no one came in to inspect them at the beginning of the movie. Let them know what happened afterwards and was provided with some extra passes for a future visit. read more
