I usually come to this theate because it tends to be the least crowded on weekends even it's out of the way for me.It's a smaller location, 7 auditoriums but it feels quiet and cleaner--like the staffs actually had time to clean the auditorium between showtimes, definitely better maintained compared to the Montebello one. The patrons here are generally more quiet and considerate here though not always the case. My only complaint is the seating. The chairs don't fully recline, you feet is like 45 degrees hanging especially for short people.so they're not the most comfortable for long movies. Also, if you pick a seat near the front, be prepared for some serious neck strain. It's painful for me since I had neck strain and spine problems... "Parking isn't great either. The row facing Adelfa Dr has the tightest spaces compared to the other rows." However I never had problem finding a parking.. "There aren't many food options nearby either--just a Starbucks and a Panera Brea if you want to hang out b4 the movie...

I loved this theater. The theater is small and it helps you enjoy the movie from anywhere you seat. My family had a great time here and everything was really clean. One thing I love about the seats was they have a seat warmer button that allows you to feel more cozy.

Inside the theater where I'm seeing the movie, Hypnotic.

The staff is extremely helpful, friendly & professional. The theater is clean. There are lots of snack choices & plenty of different drinks to choose from.

One of my neighborhood movie theater which I frequent since I have an AMC membership pass. Plenty of parking just outside of theater. Clean theaters with chairs that recline. Good assortment of snacks such as popcorn, candy, drinks and hot items. Well kept restrooms. Often times, I get a theater all to myself ! ( depends if it's an unpopular movie.) To each, their own!

Ask the Community - AMC La Mirada 7

Do the seats recline all the way back or just a 1/4 of the way?

It reclines 1/4 way back, unlike IPIC that reclines all way back like a bed.

Where can I find parking space, before watching the movie?

There are lots of parking in front of theatre.

    Are Tuesday showtimes still $5?

Yes, they still do Tuesday $5 showtimes every week.

    Do they serve Alcohol?

    Yes, they do.

Anyone know what time the bar opens on Fridays?

Does AMC La Mirada 7 theatre ever do morning showings?

    Yes and no.

How is this theatre compared to Puente Hills Mall (PHM)'s AMC theatre with their remodellings? I noticed La Mirada (LM)'s has $4.99 for morning tickets while PHM's $6.99. Is it me or does LM's doesn't have Dolby Cinema or am I missing them?

I noticed that price for each theaters are different. The one in Orange cost more than Fullerton, while Fullerton is more than La Mirada.…

Do you guys know if it's first come first serve for seats?

Yup it is! It's a small theater so just be there on time

Will they check your bag at the door?

Why? What are you planning to smuggle in? Lol

The theater isn't huge like your typical movie theater, but honestly, that wasn't a negative for us at all. We actually really enjoyed the smaller, more intimate feel. What really stood out was their extensive food menu. My husband and I tried their taquitos, and honestly, they were so tasty! We also got the nachos. My husband gets nachos every single time we go to the movies, and he loved the Hispanic twist they put on these. Beer, good food, and a movie? We were definitely satisfied! They also have signature cocktails inspired by the movies they're showing, which I thought was such a cute touch! We'll definitely be back.

But more importantly, the theater seems stuck in the early 2000s, with outdated seats that don't recline. While the seats are small, that's fine, but the chairs are incredibly worn out, down to the wire, and the leather is peeling off. Surprisingly, the seats were comfortable enough for a three-hour movie, but don't expect anything fancy. On a side note, the previews and commercials are long, lasting about 25 minutes. The bathrooms were decent, but the doors are heavy as you have to pull them to open. The screens or projectors themselves also need to be replaced because the image becomes blurry during bright scenes. Despite these issues, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the theater itself was enjoyable because it wasn't overly crowded or very popular.

We purchased our tickets at the concession stand which was different.. the movie said it started at 5 and we did get there at 5:15 so we asked before purchasing if the movie had actually started yet. The girl said no, we still had 10 mins before the movie actually started so we were like cool! Got the tickets for 2 adults, one small popcorn, and two small icees. The total came to $64. I was honestly shocked but we had busted such a mission to even get there and finally watch our movie that we just said screw it and went to watch our expensive movie. Well we walked in and it was already playing. Based on how long the movie is, about an hour and a half, and how long we actually watched the movie, we missed 30 mins of it at least. Idk WTF happened because the ticket said 5pm. Also, the previews here run for 25 mins. We know because we checked after the movie was over and realized how much we actually missed. So idk if they started that movie early, but there was like a whole 50 mins there where somethin didn't add up. If our movie started at 5, it really shouldn't have started until 5:25-5:30 based on the amount of ads they show. And somehow we missed 30 mins of the actual film by arriving at 5:15??? Make it make sense. The bathrooms were also filthy and the popcorn got us sick. That's on us for going to the nearest place and not looking up reviews first but I do not recommend this theater at all

When I checked the movie schedule online last night, I saw an 11:30 AM showtime, so we left early in the morning to make it on time. However, when we got there, we were told that the 11:30 AM showing did not have Korean subtitles. We had driven all the way there specifically so my mom could watch the movie with Korean subtitles, so we had no choice but to buy four tickets for the 1:15 PM showing, which did have Korean subtitles. While we were waiting, we bought nachos there, charged our cell phones, and relaxed for a while and had lunch in that mall. Being able to charge our phones was a huge plus. Also, one of the female employees, who was quite tall, was very kind and told us that there was a seating area toward the back of the theater. Thanks to her, we were able to sit there for a while, charge our phones, and eat our nachos. However, there were two women's restrooms inside the theater. One of them had no hand soap at all. I went and told the female employee, and she asked me, "There's no hand soap at all?" I said there was none at all. She then told me there was another women's restroom on the other side, so I went there, and that restroom did have soap. Before the movie started, I went back to the first restroom because it was closer to the theater, but even after more than two hours, there was still no hand soap at all. I was very disappointed, so I had to go to the restroom that was much farther away from the theater. Overall, this theater has a lot of good points. The staff is friendly, the seats are pretty comfortable, the theater is clean and pleasant, you can charge your cell phone, and parking is free. Also, for older people like my mom who want to enjoy the latest Hollywood movies with Korean subtitles, that is definitely the biggest advantage. However, I do have two suggestions: I hope they maintain the restrooms better. If there is no soap at all in the restroom, it does not seem right that no one refills it for more than two hours. I wish they would provide Korean subtitles for all showtimes. If that is not possible, I hope they clearly indicate on their website which showtimes have Korean subtitles and which ones do not. We came from far away, so it was very disappointing to find out that the 11:30 AM showing did not have Korean subtitles. Because of that, we ended up wasting two hours even though we had driven all the way there specifically for the Korean subtitles.

The theaters themselves are updated and the recliner seats are very comfortable. This location is also not the most crowded, so you don't often have to deal with extremely full theaters. Still, I think it's the lack of crowds that has made them slowly and slowly downgrade the rest of the experience. There is no more box office out front, and there hasn't been for many years. When it's empty, this is not the biggest deal, but if there's any line, you'll be waiting just to purchase your movie ticket. While a lot of theaters have ditched the traditional box office out front, it's still pretty standard for theaters to offer box office lines separate from concessions. To add to this the concession lines are usually only staffed with one person, so just hope it's not busy when you are there. On my latest visit, we entered our theater at the showtime, and were turned away as they still hadn't cleaned the theater. We double checked with the front that we went to the correct theater, and they said they had but for whatever reason they hadn't cleaned it yet. It may not be the biggest issue, but there is no theater I've ever been to where you can't enter at your showtime because they haven't changed it over from the last show. To me, it comes off that they don't care to staff the location adequately, and the overall experience suffers because of this. This is one of the closest movie theaters to me, but lately I've gone out of my way to visit AMC or other locations because the experience here is just below average compared to any other option nearby. I wouldn't recommend regal as a chain nor necessarily this location if you're looking for the best experience.

And what a great movie that was! But I won't get into the details*. Just watch it, even if you don't get extra credits. I went on Friday when the movie premiered in theaters. When I got off work on that Friday, I could have caught the 4:50 PM showing at the Cerritos theater or the 6:00 PM showing at the Long Beach theater. Knowing that movie previews would last about a half hour before the actual start of the movie, I chose the earlier time since I was planning to cook dinner at home and didn't want to eat too late. I arrived about a couple of minutes before showtime, and there were just as many customers in front of me. However, they both had trouble opening the Regal app. I was at least able to pull up my Regal Crown Club QR code, though the rewards couldn't be seen on my screen. I knew I had a reward for a free Small drink as well as a free ticket from customer relations, the latter of which is another story I'll withhold from this review. Martin was the employee who rang me up and redeemed both rewards. However, he made a couple of missteps. First, since I got a Small drink, I should have been offered a Medium or Large size for a small upcharge. The Medium is a half dollar more than a Small while a Large is a dollar more than a Small. I was okay with settling for the free Small, but once I saw they offer Pepsi Zero Sugar, I would have been okay paying the extra $1 for a Large, which would have been eligible for a refill. Secondly, Martin mentioned that I could have gotten an Icee drink even though there's another reward for a free Small Icee that is worth 1,000 credits more than the free Small drink. However, knowing that an Icee would have way more sugar than a Pepsi Zero Sugar, I kept at it with the Pepsi Zero Sugar. Even for a Small size, it was a pretty large cup that I can't help but wonder how much larger a Large would have been! But like I said, I was okay with getting the Small. And maybe that was the better decision. I used the restroom before the movie started, and I had to go again when the movie ended. The first time, I used a restroom on the first floor that was single occupant use only. However, they have additional restrooms on the second floor, and those are the community type restrooms. As for during the movie, the auditorium was a rather small one, but had ample space between each row of reclining chairs. I sat at Row D, which was kind of close to the screen, but not nearly as close compared to an auditorium with stadium seating. The seating in this auditorium was mostly flat, but with nobody sitting in front of me, I had no trouble viewing the screen, especially when I reclined the chair as far back as it could go. The picture and sound were great. So great that during one of the scary scenes, I legit thought an earthquake was striking when it was actually the scene in the movie causing such a sudden jolt. And keep in mind, this was only the Standard viewing of the movie; had it been IMAX or even 4DX, I might have jumped out of the chair! lol Overall, it was a good experience watching the movie that I'm keeping my original rating of 4 stars out of 5. Even though it's a little further away from me than the Long Beach theater, I will definitely consider catching the next movie here if the showtimes work better for my schedule. * After the movie, I learned a tragedy had happened to one of the actors from the movie. Hudson Meek, who played one of the human antagonists in "The End of Oak Street", unfortunately passed away in late 2024. He didn't appear in that many scenes, which were filmed much earlier that year, but the posthumous release was dedicated to him. RIP Hudson Meek, gone way too soon :(
