We usually see 5-6 other people at the same movie we're at, even on an opening night for a new movie! They do have busy moments like Twilight releases, but it's still pretty low numbers compared to any other theater I've ever been to. Maybe most people here drive 45 minutes to Stephenville for the dollar movies. Onto my review for today! We saw Bourne Identity, but we heard the movie in the theater beside us much better. They need to fix that. We took the kids to see that Hop movie when it came out but you could hear lots of killing and obscenities from the movie next door. I don't see how there's even enough business to keep 8 theaters going. Put some space between them, make the screens a little bigger and it'd be an awesome experience. The tickest for a 4PM show were $7 each, so for 6 people we spent $42 on tickets and $97 on combo nachos/drinks or popcorn/drinks. Thank goodness for that $0.50 off for the combo. We should have hit the Family Dollar for snacks. We could have bought a microwave and a small generator to make our own popcorn in the theater. I do love theater nachos too, and they do a pretty good job of stuffing the trays with chips. My only problem is the jalapenos. They're hard! How can a pickled, wet jalapeno be hard? I have no idea! They seem larger than your normal nacho jalapenos in a jar, and they're like chewing beef jerky! It sounds unlikely, but it's true! Do they get that way for sitting at room temperature for a few days? I'll have to look that up. The floors are usually sticky, but the seats are large and the arms come up so you can have a little snuggle time, which you'll need because it's 37 degrees in there! That's not a bad thing either when it's 110 outside. Overall, we go because there's no other option without a long drive involved.

Although the seats are not the now typical recliners, they are just as comfortable and leather. The staff is so sweet and welcoming. I had no interest in the film that I saw, but was so glad to have come seen it because of the experience at the theatre. I will be back for every movie that I can stand to see. Whether or not you have a particular interest in what's playing, just come and treat it like a film club. You will not regret it!

Atmosphere: Great new theater. Plenty of options for each show. Several different options for viewing whether you are a 3D fan or not. If u aren't into 3D then u can watch the movie in a regular old theater. If u like the best audio and video experience without 3D, u can watch it in XD. And if u like a little adventure but still not in 3D then u can sit in a DBox seat. Each of these options are available in 3D as well if that is your style. The 2 greatest features of this theater however are the reserved seating and the reclining seats. It is so nice not to have to show up for your show an hour or 2 early in order to get those prime seats right in the middle. Now u just pick your seats online and u r good to go. The reclining seats are just as amazing. Soooo much better than plain Jane. The theater temperatures have been spot on at every visit so far as well. I usually have to wear a hoodie to stay warm. Now just a long sleeve tee will do it. 2 Stars Food: not such a big candy selection but they make up for it in everything else. In a big way. Great popcorn. They have the awesome drink machines that u can choose hundreds of options from. Huge Icees. They also offer lots of snack foods like peanuts and chips. Same main meal type options are also available such as pizza, hot dogs, and nachos. All in all it's a pretty nice variety. Instead, I walked into what felt like a mall on tax‑free weekend meaning it was lively, loud, and full of folks with the same idea. Thankfully, I'd already bought my tickets through Fandango, so I was able to breeze past the ticket line like a dream only to be snatched back into reality when it came to the concession line! Now, the concession line... that's where the plot twist happened. One single‑file line moving slower than traffic on a Monday morning. I took one look, decided my peace was worth more than popcorn, and headed straight to my seat. Like a bad Monday morning, I decided I'll just go in later for the popcorn. The auditorium itself was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. But then I met the D‑BOX seats...the $20‑per‑person motion seats I'd splurged on for both me and my husband. Let's just say they looked a little "experienced". Worn enough to make me pause and have a quick internal conversation with the Lord praying that I didn't leave with anything that I didn't come with. Luckily though, I did go prepared in long sleeves and pants. But here's the surprise: while those seats looked like they had been around the block more than a few good ole times, they WORKED like they understood the assignment. Once the movie started, they shook, tilted, and rumbled. It felt like a mini amusement‑park ride, and honestly, it made the movie even better. Mason is only about 20 miles from Brady so it's the closest place to catch a current release. They show one movie a week, typically one showing a day on Thurs-Mon. They also do some special shows and music acts when they can. You don't have to bring your own chairs anymore as there are comfortable sliding theater seats, and the AC works great on a warm Texas summer day. I saw that they want to raise money to get nice curtaining for it next, with greater ambitions leading to putting a balcony with more seating in later. Please consider giving them your support!
