The Odeon is a classic. Single-screen theatre that actually shows current films. The concession prices are ridiculously cheap.

My Wife wanted to go see a movie so I checked Cinemark Tinseltown and saw they are playing 'Sight'…read more We were there a couple months back and saw the previews of this movie and she wanted to see it. So, I informed her that it's playing - she wants to go. Arrived for the 2pm showing (only $5.75ea, great deal) - picked out our seats and went in. We are the only ones in this Theater - it's like a Private Showing and that's really cool. Our Seats (love those lounges) are in the middle of the theater and we both set them back as far as they would go - nice and comfy - but the do have a strong sweaty odor (that's bad). Raised up the Arm Rest and saw at least 60+ Popcorn under the Arm Rest. Placed it back down and relocated out seats. These seats also have that bad odor but no Popcorn under the Arm Rest. Enjoyed the movie but hated the odor in the Theater. When the movie was over I was going to raise up all the other Arm Rest but decided not too because the Lounges had that bad odor. I did raise up the one where I found the Old Popcorn. Hopefully they will clean this - and the other Theaters - better. We are not going back for several months because they don't clean very well.

The main issue that I have with this is that I have to go to the snack bar to buy a movie ticket. Which means I have to stand in line behind people who want to buy snacks. I don't want to buy snacks. I don't want to buy tickets online because you charge a convenience fee of two dollars, which is ridiculous. I want to go in and buy my ticket in a line that's dedicated for just buying tickets. You know, I like it used to be back in the good old days. Also, WTF is the issue with people who think it's OK to whisper during a movie? I am there to see the movie, not to listen to you whisper. And if you brought your kids, keep them quiet. I didn't pay a premium ticket price to listen to your kid talk through the movie. And keep your phones off during the movie. I don't want to be distracted by your phone when I'm trying to watch a movie. People who can't behave around others should just stay home. It should be common courtesy, but more and more often people are discourteous.

The cost to see a movie for one person, with a small popcorn and small drink cost $28. The movie was okay. There too many flashbacks so I was confused as to what was going on and when it was occurring. The preview trailers were better. The popcorn was good and fresh, not stale. The fountain drink had the right syrup and carbonated water combination setup. The restroom was clean and functioning.

Recently became a Regal Unlimited member so have been enjoying going to the movies more often…read more While I can say a lot of good about Regal Unlimited our local theater has much to be desired. Regal Heartland is a very old theater. It seems it's had little to no remodeling since the 80's. Don't know if the AC needs an upgrade or what but last several times I've been foyer and hallway seem to be a bit warm. Good thing the individual theaters seem to be cool. So yes, the place is dated. I guess my biggest disappointment would be the movies offered are really limited. About three weeks ago the Monday Mystery Movie was My Old Ass. It was suppose to be distributed nationwide but didn't show up here. Being in the middle of nowhere means we will never get any really good shows. In the past three months we've mainly had horror, slasher and other dark shows. I'm guessing that's what our area demographics are buying into. For example: Around July-August all Harry Potter films were seen in order in some markets. I would have loved watching all the Harry Potter films all over again but not available in our theater. All that to say, if you do sign up for Regal Unlimited there is a chance you may have to drive to Abilene, San Angelo, San Antonio or even Dallas if you see a movie advertised that you might like to watch but it's not showing here at Heartland Regal. Other than that, I have enjoyed the movies that I have had to chance to see and hidden gems in our community are the wonderful folks that work there. The employees at Regal Heartland come across as being very friendly, knowledgeable, customer service oriented and hard working. See you at the movies.
