Didn't much care for this theatre. Staff wasn't friendly at all. Slow service at the snack bar. The line wasn't so much long as the delivery of snacks to each customer was so slow. I waited in line until way past my movie's start time but fortunately I only missed the first 15 minutes of trailers for other movies. (Seriously! Why are there so many trailers and ads before the movie I've paid to see comes on?) The theatre is icy cold so it's a welcome relief from Key West's heat and humidity in August. But the air carries that faint mildewy aroma that closed up buildings in the tropics can get. Seats were comfy and staggered so you don't have to look at the back of anyone's head, so that's nice. But they don't recline like some more modern theatres' seats do. Parking is hit-or-miss. The theatre shares a lot with Publix (and several other stores) and it must have been free-food day because we ended up having to park a long long way from the theatre. read more

This theater is on the small side tucked away behind a plaza. Parking is limited unless you park closer to the Publix. A movie ticket is over $17 and there is no matinee prices as the place doesn't open in the morning hours. There are newer seats but they don't recline with a foot rest like other theaters and the recline doesn't stay reclined so if you lean forward, the whole seat goes back up. It was uncomfortable to seat in those seats in the first three rows as the screen is so high up. Try to sit in the back as much as possible. read more

Not sure why but we had too sit through THIRTY minutes of previews and Regal commercials. The seats are not very comfortable and the screen is small. I will not be going back to this theater. Only reason why it's not a one star was it was at least clean. read more

Here on vacation drove 1.5 hours to see the opening of Avatar with my family we were super excited about the movie! We even purchased the special edition bucket and Avatar cup Combo that came with unlimited refills. Movie started at about 8pm at about 9-9:15pm I went out for a refill now the movie is 3 hours and the concession stand was already closed an hour into the movie. I asked the young men behind the concession for a refund? Since they could not provide refills as promised. I could of just ordered the one combo that didn't have the refill option. They chuckled and called out for a manager. Mr. Carey the general manager came out of no where threw my bucket of popcorn and cup away then asked me for a receipt. Mind you it was two males against me a women. As I shuffled through my purse looking for my receipt i pulled my phone out (I think he thought I was going to record him)lol He then began demanding his staff grab his phone. I was trying to explain since I could not find my receipt he replace my "special edition bucket and cup?" He literally threw it away my already purchased items and then demanded my receipt. One of his staff members younger gentleman went to refill a non-Avatar cup with soda to try to make things right and the general manager and another staff member held him back and told him "no don't do it" and demanded he not give me the cup of soda. The general manager then said he was going to call the cops and have me "removed from the premises". I followed him outside and waited for the cops to come. Before the cops got there I expressed to the GM how he was not trying to resolve the issue and was being dismissive he told Me I was being "belligerent" and that I was yelling at his staff. Not once did I yell or disrespect anyone. I told him pull the cameras and show the cops proof. Once the cops got there the one officer spoke to the general manager on the side first. He came back outside a few minutes later to speak to me and stated the general manager was ok with me finishing the movie with my family, but wanted the officer to let me know it was with conditions and that I was on private property and if I had any other interactions with him the general manager and his staff the police would be called and he would have me "arrested and banned" from entering Regal-theaters and if I did not comply I would be arrested for trespassing. All this to say the bucket and cup I paid for he replaced and he filled my cup with soda even though he said he wouldn't of course after the officer told him what I said about throwing my original purchase away and saying "he wasn't going to give me my refund." Missed an hour of the movie dealing with unnecessary drama. All that to say all that drama and no Emmy for him. The most despicable manager I've ever encountered. read more

While I lived in Key West, this place was my haven. Every weekend, I came here to escape into magical worlds where my stress would disappear. The staff was incredibly friendly and even the police woman who patrolled on the weekends was so kind and I greatly appreciated it. I won't lie that this isn't the fanciest or nicest movie theatre. It's simply, a theatre. No fancy frills or gimmicks here. But who needs all of the fanciness? Sometimes you just want a movie and they give you that. The theatres have great sound as well. Now there are some days where the crowd is a little rowdy and that can bother your experience but you can't always control that. The price is a little higher than when you're on the mainland, but since this is the only let theater that shows the latest movies, you don't have much choice. So be prepared to pay a little more. I still recommend this place because the staff really made my experience worth it. Many of them love movies, just like me, and they were always friendly and awesome. :) read more

Regal cinemas in Key West is one of the most over rated places I have visited in my life. It is dirty, small, has bad customer service and the prices are outrageous. They don't even honor military personnel prices at the window. If active military wants to buy discounted tickets, they have to go back to the base's IT to get them. The concession prices are so overprice that I rather not look at it even when I have the money to pay. I don't recommend this theater to anyone. The inside is also dirty, the floors are sticky, and the sound is not good either. It is time they either upgrade this place or stop the monopoly they have and let other companies come to offer better services. I really hope this theaters go out of business here in Key West, and hope that a better theater takes it's place for the better. read more

I suspect the Regal is going through what many movie theaters across the country are going through. They make so little money on the tickets, they're forced to jack the prices of everything else. You pretty much have no choice in going to this theatre if you want to see the most popular new release movie. I recommend going to see a movie during the first showing. Every night especially during weekend nights, most parents use the theatre as a babysitter for the young kids. No matter what movie you see, they are there. It gets pretty difficult to watch a movie when they keep talking to each other, moving in and out of their seats, and usually a police officer standing watching and yelling at them. read more

After paying $30 for one adult and one child admission to a 3-D movie. We went and sat down, I checked the line for the concession stand 4 times before deciding to wait. There were two people working in the line was backed up to the main entrance door of the theater. Some 20 minutes later I got terrible popcorn pieces and water for $13. I missed 20 minutes of the movie. When I complained to management after the movie I was told "I'm sorry we were busy, there's nothing I could do". I recommend you bring your own food into this place that is devoid of customer service and attention to any details at all. There is a grocery store next to the theater, I guarantee I'll be buying snacks there. read more

Showed up for an 11am screen of Star Wars listed on Moviephone. Showing was closed to the public for a private screening. No one came out to tell us, they just let us stand there waiting. The least they could do was put up a sign in the window or apologize for the inconvenience. read more

For some reason this theater won't bring any kind of religious movie's down here. No matter if they are good hits like (Heaven is for real) they are very anti religious movie's. I think the only one I can recall them actually playing was Passion of christ, and that was years ago. And the cost has gone up dramatically for tickets and food. For a family of four tickets and one thing of popcorn and soda's is like $60- $70. Thats a bit much if you ask me. That's like going out to dinner, at a outback or something. If it was more reasonable they may get more people, I don't know why they do see that? With redbox and other means of watching movies, you might think they would make it more reasonable for families. So not worth going unless it's a must see and you can't wait for redbox or to order it on tv. But I have to admit my self and others I know have drove to Key Largo to go to the movies, because they refuse to play some movies down here, and its cheaper and nicer. read more
