What an awesome small theater. We saw Escape to Margaritaville and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The audience sang along to songs, they sold margaritas on stage during intermission, and the end was typical Jimmy Buffett style. The actors were all excellent. We left with a little perk in our step and smiles on our faces. Thank you to all who worked hard on this show! read more

Was in town and decided to go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It EXCEEDED my expectations! Professionally done, live music, and great vocals and sound system. I am a Professional Photographer that has done professional theater archive photos for several years, and this small play house equals anything I have seen. It may not be Broadway, but then again it an Intimate well done show!!! read more

We had the great pleasure to be in the audience 3/29/2022 for the opening night performance of Something Rotten. Having seen this play in 2015 on Broadway, BRAVO and HUZZAH to all !!! Every player gave a stellar performance, and presented the funniest play ever, since 1595 Rating should be 10 stars - a must see play. read more

I have wintered in the beautiful Florida Keys since I retired and always enjoy at least a month in Key West. I have booked tickets to whatever is playing at the Waterfront Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed every production I have seen. The variety of shows, the talent of the actors and crew and the size/comfort/ambiance of the historic theatre made each evening a memory to cherish. I also loved the intermission in the courtyard with a glass of wine and animated discussions with other attendees. I always recommend to friends traveling to the Keys to take in a show at the Waterfront. I guarantee you won't regret it. read more

Just enjoyed the production of Forever Plaid. A thoroughly enjoyable night of local theater. We are visiting Key West from Atlanta, and wanted to see a local show. We found Waterfront Playhouse, and made reservations. When we arrived at the theater, we were made to feel so welcomed by the staff. Clearly, the volunteers are proud to be part of this show; laughs, smiles, and an undeniable spirit. We have seen other productions of Forever Plaid, yet there was a unique energy and spontaneity here. From the musicians to the four leads, all were in perfect synch. Beautiful voices, sharp choreography, smooth transitions, talented musicians, and great "audience play" blended together seamlessly. This show is a perfect escape from the heat and hustle of Duvall St. A lift to anyone's spirit, and a "must see" for local and visiting theater lovers. And as we exited, the production team thanked us with true sincerity for supporting the playhouse. The four leads came out, and were just as friendly as their characters in the show. It was icing on the cake to meet them all. And we noticed the Waterfront Playhouse is going to present "The Legend of Georgia McBride". We recently saw this show at Actor's Express Atlanta, and it is a wonderful show. I know that Waterfront Playhouse will provide the perfect venue. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Key West, and enjoying an upcoming show with the Waterfront Playhouse team. read more

I am a big fan of this playhouse. I saw "Casa Valentina" when I was there for a pre-opening night show. The cast was so prepped and professional. They brought a great deal of depth to all the characters and presented the story with undertones that I wasn't expecting. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and one that I highly reccommend. read more

Spamelot - went with another couple not so well versed in Monty Python and that was just icing on the cake. Great performances most noteable, while all of the cast were excellent in their various roles (David Black - the divergence to Oz was hysterical) I howled at Brain Hall as Herbert and Laurie Breakwell as the Lady of the Lake (my gosh can you sing). Loved it. Kudos and mor applause for everyone. read more

We saw two shows here: The Drowsy Chaperone (one of the best shows I've ever seen!) and Death Trap (entertaining, but not awesome). Anyhow, this little venue is great for all the talent Key West brings to the city. There is not a bad seat in the house! read more

Waterfront Playhouse you are the best, made a mistake on the online purchase, reserved tickets for wrong date but Alan the Box Office manager made it right and can't thank him and the staff enough for giving my family a fun night out at the theater. The Show "Two Leading Ladies" was a fun comedy and enjoyed the intimacy of this neat Key West institution much applause to the players and volunteers who make this place work!!!! read more
