I don't usually write review; however, this dealership is a complete scam! I bought a kia Sorento from them that was used and not certified. I had never bought a car before, so I was naïve to what a certified car was and even when I asked the sales lady, she said she does not know either! Huge red flag I should have left, but I was impulsive and wanted a car. Basically, I bought the car and got a extended warranty that helped me feel more confident in the purchase to know I was covered. However, within 4 months of buying the car I had problems with the car breaking down and the battery being "dead". Long story short the starter was put in the car wrong and they had to fix it. Even though I went to them twice and they could not figure out the problem. So, I went to my own auto shop for them to tell me what was wrong with the car to relay that information to Kia Regal so they could fix my car! Fast forward a year and a half, my transmission completely went out, they said that the electric pump oil went bad and I had to replace the whole transmission. This was upsetting, but I thought the extended warranty I had put on the car was going to solve the issue. However, when contacting them they said my warranty was expired. No one contacted me to tell me to extend the warranty or that it was bad. Now, I am without a car that I just bought 2 years ago. I can't trade in because they quoted my car to be only worth 5,000 dollars when I still owe a lot of money. This is very upsetting! KEY DETAILS: DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE, IT IS A SCAM!!! THEY WILL SALE YOU A JUNK CAR NOT WORTH ITS VALUE. AS LONG AS ITS NOT THEM THAT IS GETTING SCREWED OVER. I SHOULD BE PREGNANT WITH HOW MUCH THEY LITERALLY SCREWED ME OVER. I visited Regal Kia after seeing their advertised 0% APR financing offer. Before I even entered the building, I asked a salesman if the offer was real. He said yes--it was available on certain cars. We found one listed as eligible, took a test drive, and liked it enough to seriously consider buying. Then the General Manager came over and told us the 0% offer must have been from a previous month. I pulled up their own website and showed him the exact promotion, live at that moment. He shifted and said it only applied to EVs--then a few minutes later, changed his tune again and said it did apply to the car we drove. But then he explained that it wasn't actually 0% financing--it was a "buyback" where they reimburse the interest on a 2.9% loan over four years. I was still open to continuing and asked for a quote. Here's what they brought out: * MSRP (as expected) * $3,000 "Care Package" * $700 "government fee" * Plus tax, title, registration, and their standard dealer fee To be completely clear: I never once asked for a discount. All I wanted to do was pay MSRP plus the normal, legitimate fees--tax, title, registration, and their dealer fee. I even offered to pay full price ($300) for the window tint that's included in their Care Package. I declined the full Care Package, and the GM offered it "at cost" for $1,200. I still said no--I just wanted the tint. As for the "government fee," it wasn't part of the tax/title/registration (which were already listed separately). It was completely fabricated, and no one could explain what it was for. When all was said and done, a $25K car was quoted to me at $31K out the door. Trying to work with them, I asked about a lower trim level. They came back with another quote--but the inflated package and the same made-up "government fee" were still there. I told them that if this was their best number, my wife and I would go home and think about it. I asked to keep the quote for reference. That's when the salesman grabbed the quote out of my hand, saying they needed to keep it for "internal use only." I asked if I could take a picture of it. He took the paper to check with the GM, and after a few minutes came back and simply said, "Have a good day." This wasn't a matter of us pushing for a discount or trying to negotiate aggressively--we just wanted a fair deal based on the terms they advertised. Instead, we got shifting explanations, padded fees, and a refusal to let us even walk away with a copy of their offer. I won't be returning to Regal Kia, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time here either. read more

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the service department at Regal Kia, and to make other customers aware of how poorly I've been treated throughout this process. I initially brought in my Kia Carnival because it would not start, and after several days with little to no communication, I was told the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. That repair came with a $1,085 bill, which I was only able to negotiate down to $885--an expense that was still very upsetting considering the vehicle is barely 3 years old and I would have expected this type of issue to be covered under warranty. But the fuel pump wasn't the main issue that led me to escalate matters with the dealership. The real reason I've been trying to get in touch with management, lately including Mr. Sal Campisi Jr. (Dealer Principal), is because of damage that was done to my vehicle while it was under Regal Kia's care. The dealership has yet to take responsibility for it or offer a solution. I've made repeated requests to discuss the matter directly, including calls and messages left for Service Manager Jeff Soloj, yet no one has shown any urgency or respect in responding to me. I keep on getting transferred due to Mr. Soloj being "on meetings" (since over 2 weeks ago). This situation has dragged on for weeks, and I have been left with a damaged vehicle, without a proper explanation, and without any assurance that the damage done to my car will be corrected. I was last told the car to bring in the car on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, but considering how often I've been given misleading timelines and vague responses, I have no confidence in that estimate. What I've experienced from Regal Kia is a complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. It has been incredibly stressful and disappointing, especially after trusting this dealership with my vehicle thinking the dealership where I bought it, was the safest place to get it fixed. At the very least, I am asking for acknowledgment of my concerns and a resolution to the damage caused while my vehicle was in your care. I have also requested confirmation that my messages and emails have been received -- and have not even received that courtesy. All you can count on is a Service Department manager that apparently has more important things to do over dealing with a car damaged under their care, the most disrespectful staff and the most frustrating situation you'll ever go through. I would not recommend Regal Kia to anyone based on this experience. The service has been negligent, dismissive, and deeply unprofessional. read more

We took our 2016 kia soul to regal kia Lakeland because we were told by our trusted shop Joyce auto that oil was leaking from the engine into the exhaust system causing the catalytic converter to clog and the repair would be covered by the 10 year 100 k mile warranty . We listened and towed our car to regal Kia Lakeland and after a week with no call , called , we got the diagnosis of a failed catalytic converter from santos . We told him that was not the source of the issue per Joyce and asked him to do the same tests Joyce auto did to come to the conclusion they did . Another week past and we had to call them again and we were told that they would not do it as it would not matter ? We had to push to get the tests done and finally after another several days we were told they would . We got some excuse that there was a miscommunication and someone went over Santos head . Well they finally did the tests after another wait and the borescope showed black all over the piston and cylinder and they claimed it was carbon particles and not oil . We provided santos with our latest maintenance info and they said they sent it in to the warranty people for review and we were denied pretty quickly . I later requested a copy of that denial from a guy named Jeff via email that I have yet to get . We proceeded to , after a month without our precious car , just get it towed back to the folks we trusted at Joyce auto . All along they truly felt bad that kia was trying to play games with us and not do what they needed to . Well as soon Joyce auto got the car they were ready to work on it . They are awesome truly . But they noticed parts missing . Two ignition coils and our spark plugs !!! We emailed santos so we had a paper trail for whatever he was going to tell us , and he told us we had to come get them and they didn't have time to put them back in before the tow truck. I was floored hearing this . One : Because it was between an hour and a hour and a half or more between them knowing they were coming and the arrival . two : because the last work done on the car was a day or two before , so they left it sitting with parts off it clearly . three : because who sends a car off knowing it's missing parts anyway ?! So they finally agreed to send the parts , (causing us further time without our car ) , but , they have not shown up yet in two days . And Santos will not return emails ( he requested email contact ) so we called him and he won't return calls either . This is where we are at ! These people don't communicate (so you wait ...and wait days ) , they don't do what they tell you they will do ( dishonest ) , and they leave parts off your car ! ( unacceptable) Beware ! Please do not go here ! If I had a choice knowing what I know now , I would not have . But my towing only covered so far at no cost and this is where I had to go sadly . Pray for us that we get our parts back from them . Shame on all of you involved . Not ok ! If I could give less than one star I would read more

They send coupons to get you to come in for service but when you show up for your appointment they refuse to honor the coupon saying it was sent by mistake. I won't be back for service and while I have bought a car there before I won't be doing that in the future. They saved $100 on an oil change but cost themselves tens of thousands. We purchased a 2025 Sorento and the experience was OK. We had a little trouble agreeing on a trade value but other than that it was all right. The bad part was when we came in for a follow up a week later every thing changed .. Ours sales person, Felix , lied to us and was very rude. I felt like everyone was giving me the run around and I could barely get a straight answer about if I'd be able to get a car.. I went for an oil change with an appointment at 9:30 AM. Got there at 9:15 AM and didn't walk out until 11:30 AM. They charged me $94 for an oil change and overall inspection which I didn't ask for. We needed a part for our 2023 Seltos and made an appointment for 8:15 am after being notified the part was there. WELL - my husband waited 90 minutes before being told they received the wrong part. Isn't there anyone there that has the job of checking the parts shipped against the parts ordered??? That is the first problem that needs to be addressed. Now the part is on backorder from the distributor - which is not Kia's fault. BUT if the parts shipped were wrong and received from the get go, there is where the problems start. Surely Regal has enough money to hire or have people that could do the job that obviously isn't being done. It would save ANOTHER disgusted customer. read more

Bought a car feeling scammed. Regal Kia has a "Regal Package" but what they don't tell you is that it's mandatory not an option. It cost an extra $3,000. When asked to remove because the services it comes with I'll never use or be in the area to use them again. I get told it's not an option. It adds $3,000 to the price of the car. One of the "perks" is it comes with a welcome care package. So I at least ask to get one and get told they don't even have them in stock. So you telling me I had to pay for a $3,000 package that has services and items that they don't even have in stock and I won't use. Nice. I was shocked and insulted to see a never disclosed "INSPECTION FEE" of $1,195 on the Quote. SERIOUSLY. The largest fee you charge and you somehow overlooked it when I asked about your fees. See an advertised price on the car but to buy it you are looking at a 34% price increase. So besides taxes there are roughly $2,000 in fees added... The FLAT Inspection FEE and the DEALer FEE are Pure Profit!! You get nothing from that. The inception fee is bogus.... To buy the car in the first place and to ultimately list it for sale the dealer will do its own inspection. That is the cost of doing business and should be factored in the list price of the car........Not added as a Profit Padding Fee. This is America.....I don't begrudge profit. But what you are doing is advertising below market prices on cars and calling it "No Haggle" to attract buyers to your dealership.....Then after they have made an emotional purchase and want the car........BAM......FEES. If I could leave no stars I would! My 18 year old daughters Kia Soul has been in and out of the shop for the same problem and no one seems to care. Her car goes into "limp mode" putting her at risk to be rear ended or worse while she is driving. There is never a sense of urgency and no seems to know what they are doing there. One of the times we brought it in they told her that "maybe a fuel induction service would fix the problem" so she paid the several hundred dollars in hopes that this would fix it! A few days lasted it happens again and this time when they check it out we got an "oh, sorry, the service tech must have forgot to put the sensor on it when he did the fuel induction service"!!! At least they are consistently Bad. We have been loyal customers of Kia Regal for 6 years now and have bought 4 vehicles during that span. Thursday, I took the day off and brought in our family vehicle to get the screen -computer looked at since it hasn't been working properly. I brought it in at 815 am and picked it up around 1230 pm. I was told the technician "couldn't replicate the issue," yet when I started the vehicle back up, the screen was still the same. I talked to someone about the screen still being the same, and they suggested it might need an update (it might take half a day or a full day, depending on the update). At this point, it wasn't happening today (Bad). Despite being promised a call before 6pm to confirm the availability of a loaner vehicle, we received no such call, causing further inconvenience (Bad). I had to call them Friday morning at 715am and was able to take with the manager, and he would look into it and call me back. No phone call (Bad). We received a phone call at 430 pm from customer service asking how our experience was Thursday. The lady was nice, but she was getting off at 5 pm. She would have someone call me before he left at 6 pm. You guessed it: No phone call (Bad) It is really unfortunate to be treated this way when you have bought 4 vehicles from 1 place. This has to be the most incompetent dealership I have ever been to. Summed up, my wife's 22 Kia Stinger was brought April 24th, 2024. Genesis said the vehicle was ready a few hours later. When my wife gets there, when someone drove my wifes car upfront, the check engine came back on. Apparently, they only cleared the check engine light and said if it comes back on, they would look at it again. That makes ZERO sense. You mean to tell me that anyone who shows up with a check engine light, you merely shut it off and send them on their way? Monday (April 29th 2024) I spoke with Genesis, and she gave me an update saying Kia has authorized the warranty repairs. Tuesday (April 30th 2024) I was told by Johnathan that Kia has NOT yet approved the warranty repairs. At this point, I'm beyond upset, so I called Kia customer service and asked what was holding this up. Kia customer service explained that Regal Kia never submitted any request for warranty repairs. I am grateful for the rental, but the fact that literally nobody on the service side at Regal Kia knows what is going on with my wife's car isn't how business should be conducted. Also, it is costing you money for the rental. You are literally wasting money. Lastly, how is it when I called Kia customer service today, they asked me if I knew my wife's car had an open recall. I ofcourse told them I didn't know. Spent $600 on you guys doing an oil change and pvc valve replacement or something like that..... Guess what 2wks later the same shit..... every 1000 miles I have to put 2-3qts of oil in this vehicle..... Also sometimes it takes 10 seconds of cranking to start..... Also if the car has under a quarter tank of gas it will shut off complete in the middle of driving repeatedly... $24k spent on what was supposed to be a great reliable car.... Now I'm about to trade it in with $4500 cash on top because I can't afford to have a car that has this many problems.... THANKYOU FOR NOTHING! And I hope all your customers and upper management see this because you guys were not willling to fix the problem that y'all sold me with your so called bumper to bumper warranty that was supposed to cover everything.... If I could give them zero stars, I would. I want to start this review on a positive note. Mario, in the service department, is awesome! Now, let me get to why I'm giving them 1 star. I brought my car in for a coolant flush. There was nothing else wrong with my car. I had absolutely no other issues at all! Well, when they were almost done Mario came to me & said my battery was low. I told him I would think about it but ultimately set an appointment for the following week. Again, keep in mind I had no issues at all before I went there. I left & proceeded to go to 2 doctor appointments. When I left each appointment - my car had issues starting. CoincidenceI think NOT I knew it was the battery so before I got stuck on the side of the road somewhere, I drove back to Regal & had them install a battery. Mario knew I wasn't happy but instead of causing a scene like I wanted to, I went home & called the service manager the next day. Jeff Solaj, the service manager, definitely knows how to talk a good talk. Both him & the GM, Sonny Glover, swore by their employees saying there was no way to drain the battery during testing. Umm, I'm not in the automotive business but I know that's a lie. I know it can be drained. Again...I HAD NO ISSUES WITH MY BATTERY UNTIL I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE! I personally will never recommend this facility. If you decide to take your car there, beware because I can guarantee you 100% your service technician will come to you, as their working on your car, and tell you something else is wrong. regal Kia Service is the worst service department I've ever had to go to. They do sloppy work, takes too long, and the hours only accommodate them not the working class. The manager will not call you back and when you leave messages you might as well be leaving a true Sam fan and person that never calls you back. I called up after having my car there multiple years this specific car I got 2018. The lady, Missy could not find my account she look by my car, phone number, address I still couldn't find it. I had to give her the last four of my van. She finally found it and said that my name had gotten changed somehow. I tell you that Jeff was there months ago, and, there was no problem finding my account. Then she went on to tell me that maybe I updated my address which I've lived in the same place for 20+ years so I left a message with the manager who has yet to call me back I called again. Regal kia you did it again yesterday my car battery died I call and I talk to kelsey she told me that it was still under warranty the car is a 2020 Kia Forte GT with barely 15,000 miles on it the car has to be jump started yesterday and today to make it to the dealer jeromy the service advisor took me in after a while I asked him and he told me that they test the battery and that it was bad and that he referred it to the warranty tech I believe he said after another while I asked him and he told me that the technician recommended to charge the battery after they say that it was bad the battery is almost three years old and has to be Jumpstart already twice long story short after three hours waiting I left with the same battery because they refused to replace it. I found the car I wanted on their site.. when I got there, I showed them the ad and told them that was the car I wanted, I was told that that wasn't the car they had posted the wrong car on the site and showed me a different car. 20 minutes later, a dealer drove it around to the front and said they found it!!! the car was listed for $11,992 ,when I got there they said the total was gonna be over $16,000. So I told them to keep it I didn't want it!! So they brought down almost 2 grand I was OK with that. The very next day, the lover to move my sheet broke off the passenger window button is loose. The window won't roll up or down. I can't roll it up or down from my side in the rain protector on the window fell off.. I immediately emailed them and it took them a day or two to respond back to my email!!! I am not happy. I will not recommend this dealership to anybody and I'm considering getting my money back and not buying the car.!!! read more

We bought our Kia Soul from Regial Kia, We purchased the ECO program. The program was to include every 2 weeks weeks we could take our vehicle in to the dealership and get our vehicle washed and vacuumed. The past 3 times that I had the oil changed it was not vacuumed. The last oil change the computer that reminds me that the oil change is due was NOT reset, and there were 10 miles put on my vehicle while I was inside the dealership eating for my car to be finished. Orlando and manager Mike gave me a stellar deal on a Forte. I gave them my monthly payment expectancy and they matched me within 10 bucks after taxes. I left with a brand new car..thinking I was going to buy pre-owned. Oh and I got a free cruise to enjoy with my girlfriend. I have done extensive research on car quality, warranty, and was negotiating with other dealers. I looked in Pasco and Hillsborough counties. I knew the Forte was rated very well compared to other Kias, and cars on consumer reports. The warranty doesn't compare to anything else except for Hyundai and Mitsubishi, but those car ratings can not compare to what I was given today. It's my first brand new car ever and my monthly payments are only a few bucks more than my previous old 2007 car was. They were honest, courteous and went above and beyond. They could have left out the cruise, since I agreed without knowing until my mom called me to bring it up. But they threw it in anyway, which shows they are honest and aim to please. They were patient while I made some calls before I let them run my credit. They scored the lowest interest rate I have ever had on my credit score which could definitely be better. As we were closing my 10 year old was getting antsy and Orlando brought her a pile of snacks. He also transfer literally all my junk from my other car into the trunk of my mew car while I met with the finance manager, who was also friendly and patient with me. How are they going to give a you a price and then charge you more. I had a coupon for $17.95 oil change and $20 for rotating the tires. Ended up paying almost $60 and when I tried to ask why it was that much the lady (that was really nice) told me it was the taxes. Trying to tell me that the manager had to manipulate the numbers to give me the deal. What a joke ! read more

We first spoke over the phone about a Kia Sorento EX. I live in South Tampa, and made the long drive because the price we discussed was very reasonable. Upon arriving to the dealership we were met by Gary (sales), who was brokering the deal for us through a nonsales associate Tori on the phone. This is the classic bait and switch. We get there and they pull around the LX without the stencil. It took some inspection before the realization set in that we aren't going to drive away with the car promised.
