PREDATORY SHOP! I recently purchased a used Mercedes and needed it looked at. I tried to take it to this shop for a full service check up including all fluids and filters and to have a useless piece of plastic, the supercharger baffle, taken out while they were inside it. Without even looking at the vehicle the shop owner condescendingly said they "don't work on hotrods, take it somewhere else". I asked if he was seriously gonna be like that and he stuck to to his guns. After giving him a piece of my mind and walking out to my car; I stepped back into the office area to speak with him again to see if he was still going to call removing a piece of plastic from a stock Mercedes hotroding it and not even do the other services I needed done. He doubled down and even took a jab at my appearance. The owner is a prejudice old white dude with either no knowledge or no confidence to do simple maintenance other than the pitiful walmart level of service he does for people who are clueless about cars. I'll probably just end up taking it out myself even with arthritis and deteriorating muscles from blood cancer making it increasingly difficult for me to turn a wrench anymore. Needless to say he lost a few customers that day, including me and the couple of people who sent me his way, and I'm here warning you so you can protect yourself against this predatory & shady shop. read more

After spending plenty of money, Being a faithful customer & referring plenty people to this guy he decides to call me out of the blue on 10/1/2018 asking me for personal information(address & etc...)and he then in return passed my personal information on to an 3rd party without my permission. That could be very Dangerous trust me. ****BEWARE**** What Made him do such a STUPID thing i don't know but it was a huge mistake on his part. This guy never called me in the many years I've dealt with him but decided to use his cell phone on this particular day. I've been doing business with John Carlisle for 10 years I guess. He's everything you need in a mechanic especially for German cars but also Toyota in my experience. John has always given me a very close estimate, the work has always been finished shortly after parts arrived and has always been truthful to me, my family and wife. I've never had to take a vehicle back because of bad repairs, it was always done correctly the first time. I find his prices very fair from tires, tune-ups to rather major repairs. I hate to complaint, but I feel that I must because I feel that I was taken advantage of by this mechanic. My comment is simple: as a business, you get paid to do the job correct; if you don't, you need to make it right. You don't tell the customer, sorry mr customer, I know I did not fix your problem, but I cannot help you, you must wait for me until I have time. I cannot believe that a simple oil leak turn out to be such a headache for me. This mechanic "fixed" one thing to break another. Over $2,000 in repair expenses and the problem with my car is not over. Now, I will have to take it to another mechanic to fix what this guy broke. Not fair at all!!!! read more

Top notch mechanics and service! My car was misdiagnosed at the dealership so I took it to Carlisle and they delved deeper into the problem and ended up charging $500 less than the dealership and my 2006 car runs great! As I'm spreading the word to family and friends, many say they already take their cars to Carlisle and have for years. I highly recommend Carlisle to anyone!
