Regal is not my choice when it comes to theaters Because it was the only better option for Modesto, I brought my nieces to catch LILO and Stitch.. Caught a showing at 4pm. The Family combo 2 lg drinks, 2 candy's, 1 large refillable popcorn was $45. Went into theater and it felt like a sauna. Asked the manager if they could turn on ac and I was given the run around. Solution given by manager: refund my tickets or transfer to another theatre for a later showing. Inquired if the air was turned on for previous showing of same theatre, she said no. I think a few more customers in our theatre went and complained as well and finally the air came through about halfway through the movie. The movie theatre was clean. The chairs are amazing. Some need repair but overall the experience was good.

I haven't been to this theater in a while and won't be returning after last night. The seats were so close to each other, but my biggest complaint is that the theater was SO hot!! Normally theaters are freezing. I had to step out during the movie to get some fresh air and when I walked back in, a wall of stuffy hit cross air just hit me. Bathrooms were also disgusting. Nice theatre, I wasn't expecting the halls to be packed with loads of people. One of the facets in the men's bathroom didn't turn on. Also as a side note, it's best a reminder to buy tickets for the weekend in the morning as that's when they are cheapest. (Also the recliners I sat in looked ripped up on the arm rest). read more

Brought my Granddaughters to a 2:25 pm movie on Sat. The Lobby was toasty warm but the theater was an ice cube! I do not think a blanket could have helped. The girls kept their coats on and thankfully had boots on. However, I did not. I had to tuck my hands into my pockets and rub my legs and arms to keep somewhat warm. Regal, you understand that Modesto has had almost freezing nights and the high that day of 55. I doubt you have been heating any of the individual theaters at all. Decided to go for a late showing of Indiana Jones last night and instead of making our way all the way to our usual Cinnemark in tracy we went down the street to the regal in Modesto. This is a pretty janky movie theature not gonna lie, the amenities need a good updating and overall it needs a better way of handling business. I had to buy my tickets at the concession stands like really? The girl that helped was super nice and helpful since we don't do regal and honestly theirs a good reason, because someone explain to me why it cost so much to go to the movies now. Almost 15 bucks per ticket and then plus the snacks I spent well over 50 on nothing. THE POPCORN WAS COLD! SHe did hook it up with the jalapeños for my popcorn tho so ill give you that but nothing fancy about the theature size and seats for me to be spending that much on a ticket. Ill give it to you on an IMAX but not regular at 9:30 pm on a Wednesday. Ill stick to cinnemark which has a way better monthly program. read more

Watched Inside out. It was so hot I sweated throughout the whole movie. I rather stay home and not spend the extra money to enjoy the AC. My disabled sister took my autistic son to the 7:45 pm showing of Beetle Juice on 10-5-24. It was almost 10 pm when they got out. Her phone died and she couldn't call a cab to take them back to her home. She asked for assistance to make the phone call, but the manager said they didn't have an outside line, and employees were not allowed to call for them. My sister and son then had to walk over three miles at night. With her walker, it took them over three hours to get to her house. I'm sorry that Regal theater manager couldn't find the kindness in his heart to help them out. read more

We received 2 movie passes from my employer as a gift last month so we thought we'd use them to see a movie on Monday for the Holiday. Our first problem we ran into was the passes were not compatible with the regal app becAuse they didn't have a "pin" . Why would they still sell or provide these type of passes that are incompatible?? So... We take a trip to the theatre at 10:10pm to use them in person. We arrive at McHenry Regal Stadium 10 and attempt to use the passes. The line seemed short however it took a long time for them to help the 3 customers ahead of us. When we get to the counter the cashier takes our passes and we pick out our seats and she tells us it's $3.00 for a "convenience" fee. What exactly is the convenience of I 1. Couldn't use them on the app. And 2. Had to drive to the theatre days ahead of the actual showing just to claim the seats we wanted before someone else got them? I'm so disappointed in Regal a GIFT certificate should cover the entire cost. How embarrassing to try and collect more. I will not be returning!! P read more

I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this theater. We've gone here several times in the last few months and it's always been clean in each theater we've been in. The concessions are fresh, and while the line can be slow the employees are always friendly. The theaters themselves have all been remodeled to have recliners as well and I find them to be nicer than the Brenden in town too. I did remove 1 star because the bathrooms are old and could use some work, but they're still decently clean. read more

Just came back from a poor experience at Regal Theater of Modesto. Now I understand why they rate a 2.5/5 overall on Yelp. Well deserved! The screen we were assigned to suffered a projector failure so we were asked by the usher to select another screen or request a refund (no information as to where to do this, they don't have a customer service window like the Brenden and Galaxy, plus other screens' seats are sold in advance, so this would certainly lead to some confusion and disagreement when the rightful owners arrived to find those from our feature sitting in their places. The management of the Regal set this in motion, and hope they enjoyed dealing with it. Also, there is a concept in technology called redundancy. When something can go wrong, you should have a backup. Apparently the backup at Regal is to inconvenience the customers. (Back in the day, both the Covell and State Theaters had extra bulbs they could swap in when the projector failed. Apparently "new and improved" these days ain't so much. Anyway, we went to the outside ticket counter for relief (I always thought that once you left a theater you were done but anyway) and the cashier refunded the money to my CC "in 3-5 days" so they get to get the payment immediately but refund back at their convenience. I asked him about the "inconvenience fee" to which he said, "I gave you back the convenience fee." I said no, the INconvenience fee, your theater just inconvenienced all of these people (pointing to the long line forming behind me). He seemed not able to understand English at that point. Thank you Regal for reminding me of the value of my Amazon Prime and Netflix subscriptions, and the comparative pricing of popcorn and soda at my house vs. your snack bar. Great customer service from the minute we walked in. Bought out tickets early and Alan greeted us at the door. Easy check in, scanned my fandango barcode and informed me which screen to go to. Stopped by to buy pop corn and a soft drink and the cashiers did an excellent job delegating and worked quickly to bring down the line. Did not sacrifice quality and still efficient. Seating was clean and chairs were comfortable. For $70 on a Friday night with 3 adults and 1 child, movie, drink and snacks can't beat that. Love that they have security out in the parking lot as well. Piece of mind while my family and I are enjoying our movie. Huge improvement since I've came here as a teen. Came to see BARBIE with some friends. I know it was a busy weekend but I went to concessions twice and both girls who waited on me were rude and short with me (like they hate they're job). We're paying almost $18 to see a movie and get snacks so we should be treated nicely on a night out. I've worked in customer service for 20 years and still do... these young kids need a lesson in customer service. I will give a good review to the gentleman who scanned my tickets. One of my friends was running late and we were headed into the movie. I told him what she looks like and how she would be behind us because she went to the wrong theater. They accept atom (movie ticket website and app) tickets here. It's a bit cheaper than the galaxy theater nearby and more convenient to park than the theater downtown. The employees are all pretty friendly. If you have a large group or plan to watch a popular movie, then you may want to buy your tickets ahead online or in person since so the seats are reserved. All the online ticketing websites charge a "convenience" fee. I think all the seats recline. Wish they made their weekly specials a little more clear on the website. Join the free regal rewards club if you visit here often. Good theater overall. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to see the new avatar movie in 3D. A huge selling point for choosing this theater was the reclining seats. We chose the combo 2 which was the large popcorn and 2 drinks as well as cookie dough bites. The popcorn was stale and soda lacked a lot of carbonation and I couldn't even tell it was Dr. Pepper. Upon getting to the showing, people were in our seats refusing to move but eventually did. The seats were messy and broken. My girlfriend and my seat were both broken and didn't recline. The 3D experience was lackluster as my glasses were scratched. All in all a very poor experience. The GM reached out promptly when I contacted them regarding my experience who offered to send me a couple movie tickets. Tickets never came. read more

Positives: Soda and popcorn were good, no complaints there. The lobby area seemed pretty clean, the "self butter" area where you get your napkins and straws was well kept. Negatives: The bathrooms were pretty bad, like they clean them once at night and don't touch them again until the next night. The overflowing trash pictures are pretty much what I saw, not a huge deal I guess. People in this theater tend to be noisier than other theaters, I try not to fault the theater for that, maybe the location? This theater is full of seat hoppers as others have complained about in their reviews. I seen two sets of seat hoppers in our movie, the first were confronted by the people whose seats they were sitting in. The second pair was also confronted and grabbed their stuff and moved. We had the weird top 4 seats at the very last row so we didn't have to sit next to noisy people and the seat jumpers came and just plopped down right next to us in the seats I paid for. I paid for 2 extra tickets so I didn't have to sit next to anyone and it happened anyway lol. The arm rests are similar to that of an airplane where you are sharing the armrests with the people next to you. Galaxy theaters in Riverbank has none of these problems. It is worth the extra drive to watch a movie there lol. Probably not coming back to Reagal in Modesto. Their Cinnebar in Vegas is pretty nice but that's probably the only Regal I will continue to visit. read more

Theater is nice. No one scanned tickets . We walked in, none of the theaters were marked with the title of the movies , so just followed where the ticket said to go. No one was checking tickets at all. Movie was supposed to start at 1:25. We watched 35 minutes of TV commercials before the movie started . One after another after another. Unreal. Great movie. The theater was okay. Not tue best one around , but you get what you can. Horrible customer service though. I got there around 7:30pm. Got in line to get some tickets and i got ignored twice. I didn't get greeted when i first came in, and both cashiers ignored me while i was in line. I had to grab their attention since they were clearly not in the mood to do their job. Taylor if you are reading this, fix that attitude and that hair. Clearly you need to change your profession if you are so unhappy with it. To be honest, the whole staff needs to be retrained to be able to do their job on the front. Except the cleaning staff, bathrooms were sparkling clean and theater was organized. My husband and I went tonight to watch Scream and we had people crammed next to us on both sides. What made the experience worse was that I could smell the girl next to me terrible breath even with my mask which I kept on the whole time because we were running a late and weren't able to go by the concession stand. My family and I come here at least once a month. Last time I checked the theater was social distancing meaning one seat separation per groups. Went to the Elemental at this theater. We booked our seats in advance, and I do have to say that I liked that the app prevented purchasers from leaving single seats between groups. With our theater apps you will go into a packed theater and ONLY see single seats left. Upon arrival we scanned our tickets and got in line for popcorn. The gentleman scanning was very polite and helpful. They had plenty of concession workers and the line moved fast. The worker asked if I the had regal rewards and out my number in to get points. Score! We grabbed our popcorn and headed into the theater. The seats were comfortable and fairly clean for all the kids that were cycling through for this specific movie. The sound fluctuated a bit from loud to extremely loud, but eventually settled down. We were leaving early evening and the floor was pretty dirty by then, but they were stocking and starting to clean. Overall, a nice smaller theater and I'll be back! read more

Had a problem with my subscription it was charging me each time l bought a ticket. I have a unlimited subscription and shouldn't have been charged. I brought it to the manager Sabrina attention who was running a register for the snack bar. She apologized for the problem and started to investigate the problem. It quite awhile and people were standing in line to be waited on. It didn't matter to her, she treated me like l was the only one in theatre. She fixed everything and refunded me for my charges and rebooked my movie choices with the. exact same seats. She was very poised and quite confident in her job duties and very professional. She is truly a great asset for Regal movie theatres. I will continue to go there because of her great customer service. read more
