I hate that there is no parking right near the theater. It's in busy area with people driving around even though there is nowhere to park. It's a bit dated. The line for concessions wasn't long. This is a very dated movie theater but most Regal locations are. However, it's not the worst. I brought my mother who is 71 to an advanced free screening event for Now You See Me Now You Don't. I was grateful to attend. My mother ambulates with a rollator. We were fortunate to score convenient lower level parking near the elevator. It was a busy day with a fall festival happening at the shopping center. The elevator brought us right up to the theater entrance. Staff greeted me kindly and we got in line for the advanced screening seating. It's always first come first serve, so we made sure to arrive a hour ahead of the screening. There were a lot of security and event staff. Everything was well organized. They even had an actual illusionist perform for us before the screening! I was happy to attend an early morning matinee with my mother. The reclining seats have aged and do require replacement. The metal is rusty and whenever you recline the seats are very loud. Despite this, seating was comfortable and the theater was spacious. If you don't like concession snacks, BBQ Lab, Five Guys, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, and Chick FilA are located Nextdoor and outside of the theater. Grab a bite before or after the show. This is a great movie theater! I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. It's clean, well-maintained, and has that classic Regal vibe. For the area that this theatre is located in, I guess I expected a more up to date looking theatre. I ordered our tickets online & when we got there, there was a loud and rude lady yelling for everyone to scan their tickets and whatnot. She wasn't friendly at all. Once we got by her, we went to the concession stand and then to our seats. Sure, the seats recline, but the faux leather on the headrest was completely worn off. There was a huge brown circle there when the chairs are black. The popcorn was ok. You get to put your own butter on. The concession prices were astronomical, but that's to be expected. The concession area was sticky and messy. No one was cleaning up the area, and they weren't busy. So, there's no excuse to be looking like that. The restroom had sinks out of order with blue film over them. The restroom definitely needed to be cleaned and deodorized. The movie was pretty good, but I will not be back to this theatre. We decided to go to the theater to see a movie and we were in Theater 1. We went inside and began to look for our seats, however what was so disturbing is every seat in the theater needed to be removed and replaced! Where people's heads are and the actual seat is beyond normal wear and tear- it's one step from being holes. I had to go to the restroom and the bathrooms had multiple stalls covered and inoperative. Also, the stalls are so tiny that you can barely do what you need to do in there. All staff that we encountered were pleasant and nice. The cleanliness of the restrooms and the theater was clean. Parking was fine, we used the parking deck. Overall they really need to update the chairs in the theater and the restrooms. read more

Even though I love this location, and it is a beautifully designed theater, an upgrade is certainly worth the investment. First, the theaters with the reclining seats (are they ALL like that?). We only choose reclining seats because it makes you feel so much like you are at home. However, your seats are getting very worn, and if you are wearing short pants or a skirt, it is very uncomfortable. Please make every effort to replace these seats with stronger wear-and-tear material (leather would be terrific). For today's, September 2, 2024, 3:23 pm matinee, not everything went well. At first, sound and lighting were perfect, then, the a/c, the screen, the sound and a variety of lights went off. Then everything but floor lights remained. This lasted a good long time. Perhaps over 20 minutes before things started back up again. The entire theater lost most of its power, but I'm unsure if the rest of the businesses were affected. Reagan was an excellent film, and the audience was appreciative (clapping ensued at the end). Other than the delay, and those awful seats, it's a good theater. Make it better, please! read more

Went to this movie around 4:30 and it wasn't crowded at all. The tickets were 10.99 but came out to 13.93 because of a "booking fee" which is stupid but I digress. The small popcorn came out to $9.83 and I didn't even attempt to ask about the candy or anything else. The popcorn was not fresh nor gave me that "movie theater popcorn" feeling. The seating was decent, it doesn't matter where you are, you'll have a great view of the screen. Just a normal experience honestly, nothing impressive. read more

This theater is overpriced and acts like it offers an upscale experience when in reality it's basic and antiquated. This has been my go-to theatre for 3 years, but in those 3 years I can't see a single problem that was actually addressed. Seats are worn, butter stations are frequently broken, and they don't care if the projectors are working properly or not. The colors were messed up in my auditorium, they know about it and continue to show movies in it. Very disappointing. read more

Let me begin by stating the staff and management here are wonderful. This review is based on the the aesthetics. I'm beyond disappointed with the state these theaters are in. The entire complex, needs to be redone replacing the seating, sound systems and screens. Worn leather and wood chairs that squeak when you recline them out. A sound system that is static from age as is the screen, grainy from age. You pay full price, and you're in North Hills, you have an expectation of excellence. Instead of wasting money on the small tile upgrades, they need to put in newer theaters. Holly Springs is a great place to mimic! I would be totally embarrassed to bring out of town company to dinner at "North Hills" and then walk into this these theaters. They look like discount theaters, and should be given the aesthetics. **And the sound went out in our movie. The bathroom of the movie theater was dirty with toilet paper of the floor of the restroom. None of the paper towels refilled and I had to use the air dryer. The seats are reclining and you can activate it by using the buttons on the side. When you order the popcorn there is also a butter machine for the popcorn. read more

Haven't been to the movies since 2020, with everything available for streaming I just purchase and watch in the comfort of my home. It was my moms birthday and she wanted to go see a movie, how can you say no to the woman who gave you life . If you know North Hills you know to just go to parking garage, no need to circle around looking for a spot up top. Since I purchased tickets online and chose our seats; when we arrived we went straight to the concession stand. You have to have popcorn at the movies; ordered popcorn and water, they do sell beer to my surprise. The line moved along quickly, I was disappointed that out of the four butter dispensers, only one was working so the long line was for butter. In the theater it only got worse, the seats look like they need to be reupholstered (faux leather) or replaced, the floor was very sticky for the second showing of a movie. The sound and screen was great, but I would not return to this theater. read more

Nice that the theaters have been updated with recliners! Clean & Comfortable. You'll find all the mainstream movie selections with a variety of show time options. Wish that they would update concessions as well! Popcorn is dry and tasteless unless you add the nasty whatever the "topping" is. You can actually add it yourself, which goes to show that whatever it is, is so inexpensive that you can pour it on to your clogged arteries' content. No real food choices either, and certainly no alcohol. A small styrofoam-like popcorn along with a small soda will set you back over $13. Harder to swallow when you can get tastier options at other movie venues for similar or less. The box office is inside right inside the main doors, which is good for getting out of the elements, but it can get crowded when you're trying to buy tickets, especially if they only have one person working. Parking...it's North Hills. There's always the deck below. Save yourself a lot of aggravation by heading straight there. I've never not been able to find a spot down there. read more

Theater needs an upgrade. Attached is an example of my particular seat, but I purchased four tickets and all four seats looked this way. The particles from the seat were on our skin and clothes when we left. One of the chairs wouldn't recline properly. This is my second visit where the concession was out of something. This time, this slushy machine was down, no butter for popcorn, and there were no lids for cups. Definitely not the experience I look for in a movie theater. Watching a movie at this theater is not an enjoyable experience. With the growth of North Hills and the luxury aesthetic that North Hills is supposed to give, I struggle with the fact that the movie theater provides such a subpar experience. I have attempted to go to this movie theater on multiple occasions. on one particular occasion, the theater was filthy, and the seating that me and my friend occupied was infested with ants, she was bitten multiple times, and the manager gave us a comped ticket to use to try to resolve the situation. The second time I visited this theater, again the theater was dirty with popcorn and spilled drinks on the floor. The actual movie viewing experience was bad because the patrons talked throughout the entire movie and no one did anything about it. I did share my grievance with the manager who gave me a comped ticket again but at this point, I have no desire to use that ticket to visit the theater as there are so many other options to have an enjoyable movie experience in the Raleigh area. read more

Theatre is average, we saw a movie here and it was in a very small theatre - capacity was 53 people! Bathrooms clean, seats reclined and were very nice but theatre was so small. Biggest issue is the big issue with North Hills overall - freaking parking! We had to circle for 10 minutes to find a spot, good god. We have lived here for years but the crappy parking at North Hills never ceases to amaze me. Anyway, theatre ok, concessions looked ok (we didn't eat anything), parking sucks. North Hills just has it all. Good hotels, a big Target, tons of great shops and restaurants, and a Regal movie theatre, all just 10 minutes from the main downtown area. We decided last minute we wanted to catch a movie in 10 minutes and had the most pleasant experience making it happen. We'd never been to this Regal before but the GPS took us right to the massive free parking garage and the signs helped us find the building from there. For those walking around looking for it - it's up the escalators, to the far right. It's a pretty large movie theatre and on a Saturday afternoon all seats but 5 were full for the movie we went to see. They do assigned seating here and being that we were so last minute we had to those dreaded front row seats. Surprisingly, they were very comfortable and I would actually choose to sit there again. We didn't feel like we were straining our necks to see the screen or anything. The recliner chairs were clean and cozy, and we sat a fine distance from the big screen. The prices were normal and snack variety average (just sneak in your own). Overall it was a cozy experience and we were pleasantly amazed at how much we enjoyed ourselves with such a last minute decision and the least desired seats. Would recommend. read more
