First off, I enjoy going to the movies. My movie theater of choice is Regal in the Largo mall. But that only has eight cinemas in it. This Pinellas Park Regal has 16 Cinemas. I only come here if a particular movie is not being shown at Largo. So the positives here: I have more choices of movies. The negatives here: It costs more at this theater. I was just in town visiting family and we decided to take the kids to go watch Frozen 2. The lady who sold us our tickets wasn't that friendly but the guy who we bought popcorn from was very nice. We went to watch the 10:30pm show and nobody was really there with us maybe 6 other people? I totally love an empty movie theater so that was great. Of course the drinks and snacks are overpriced just like every other movie theater. We got a medium popcorn for like $7.99 and it was okay. The chairs were big and spacious. They recline back and were pretty comfy. There was a lot of space between the chairs in back and in front of us, a big big plus! I would come back here again. read more

Decent movie theater in the St. Pete area. You have the ability to book your seats so you don't have to rush to the theater for a great seat. There are plenty of restaurants around the area to catch a bite before or after your movie! Don't forget to stop by the Dollar Tree next door! You can definitely stack up on snacks to bring in...but you do so at your own risk! They have never checked when I have visited. If you are deciding to get something from concessions, they typically staff 3 to 4 lines so you can move through the line pretty quickly! Don't forget about the reclining seats! We sat in the far back and our view was still really great! All in all, decent theater, comfy seats, and reserved chairs make it a good choice. read more

Terrible once again. We thought we would try CMX Theaters again. This used to be one of the best theaters. Right from the start of buying tickets to buying food it was a cluster. Tickets were $2.00 extra each because we chose to see a new movie that just came out. Food was a cluster too. The guy behind the popcorn area was a butthead. Once again there were no pretzels and no butter for the popcorn. We had to get back in line to get the butthead behind the popcorn counter to add more butter to the popcorn. For drinks you have to go to the butthead at the popcorn counter to get drink cups so you can serve yourself. I don't mind serving myself but put the supplies out for it or just serve me. If people are stealing then you need more employees!! No more chances for this place. read more

Me and the other 2 people who watched a movie ended up with pieces of the chair on the back of our necks. Basically the seats are shedding and need to be fixed. You'd think after being closed for a year they'd do a proper inspection. And...no response to the email I sent to corporate last week. Nice job Regal. read more

This theater seems to always to understaff. They don't seem to understand the concept of busy periods. I have tried multiple times to order hot foods (like chicken tenders) only to discover 15 - 20 minutes later that no one was actually making the hot food. I went on the 26th and it was a nightmare. Took 30 minutes to get through concessions and didn't get what I wanted because it seemed anyone getting anything other than popcorn experienced severe issues with getting their order filled. The seating is great. Recliners. Updated recently. Service was good. However the men's restroom was awful. Men's room had standing water all around the urinal. Needed to be cleaned! Food counter service was good. Prices are high however. We ordered pretzel bites with cheese and they were burnt. Took them back. They redid them. Burnt. See pic below. You can even see the burnt edges. Gave up and tossed the $7 tray of inediibles. Hoping the movie is good. read more

Why 4 stars? Well mainly because the Icee's --- --- --- Pretty much, if the Icee selection is solid, it's hard to be less than 4 stars. For anything. I've always had an obsession with things that are cold and sugary. I honestly can't even buy popsicles because I will eat them all in one sitting. Even 100 packs. All. Of. Them. But it's not all about the Icee's. They have a large variety of junk food that's marked up 400% above cost. But at least they have a lot of it. This theater definitely wins the best "most parking spots to still have no availability" award... so that's something. My last visit was during a rain storm, which consisted of me parking, followed by practicing my 200 yard dash to the front door. If I win the Gold in '16, I'll be sure to mention Regal Park Place in my speech. Right after I thank my Dad for these deer-like quads. read more

Zero worries about my first impression of Regal Park Place Stadium Cinema's. At first I balked at the $5 up charge for RPX (which guarantees your complete movie going satisfaction) when my girl and I went to see Interstellar. I gave her the 'Are we really going to pay for this' glance and she responded, in the nonverbal kind of way 'Stop being your frugal self and splurge...and don't skimp on the popcorn'. So there's that. Like other reviewers have said this place really is pretty good. The overall condition of the premise is great, the bathrooms are among the cleanest I can remember for a theater and, for the record, the RPX cost is certainly worth it. The seats alone are deluxe and have mercy when that rocket ship took off the entire theater was rumbling with the Dolby Atmos digital sound. Once my seat stopped vibrating I gave the same glance to my girl as if to say 'Pretty cool huh' to which she responded, nonverbally again, 'Told you so'. True love, let me tell you. They give a generous military discount and have a wonderful rewards program - give it a shot because for the afterparty you have a myriad of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity to choose from! read more

Ticketing process was a breeze as I ordered online. Arrived 25 minutes early to grab popcorn/drinks. Line was 10+ deep with one register open, so it was good we got there early. They do now serve beer, cider and wine, so that's a plus. It would help if those working the register knew what cider was... I had to show them what to pour. I will never again order anything other than popcorn at a regal theater. Hotdog was terrible. Despite being Nathan's brand, it had been sitting in the warming drawer the whole day it seemed. Nathan would be so disappointed. Theater seats are awesome recliners which was great since our movie screen had issues and it took quite some time to fix it which meant we were sitting there for nearly 3 hours. Get it together Regal. I can give you a pass on mediocre hotdogs, but the movie should at least start on time and work. Thankfully, this isn't my go to theater on the regular. read more

Took photos of seats as they are the most comfortable seats I've ever experienced at a movie theater. How often do you see electric power leather recliners at a movie theater? Only one problem with that. You better hope the movie isn't boring because it will be easy to fall asleep and take a wonderful nap. LOL More impressive is how clean the seats are. We've been there 3 times so far, arrived when lights were still on, so we were able to get a good look at it. Also something that is different is the assigned seating. Never seen that before and was a bit confused when they pointed at screen at ticket booth that showed me which 2 seats were available together and which I wanted. Why would they do that? It came clear when I got in. The movie was a popular movie so place was almost full. No need to look around for 2 available seats and walk and stand in front of people, stretching your neck up and sideways looking like some kind of confused bird and getting dirty looks from everyone knowing they're all thinking 'SIT DOWN ALREADY!!!!!' The only negative about those seats is that they obviytake more room than regular seats, therefore shows sell out quickly, so if it's a popular movie, I would highly suggest stopping by earlier to get your tickets, but I will gladly deal with that then the guy's elbow in my ribs who sits next to me who decides both seats next to his are also his. As a professional musician and music producer, sound is very important to me, and it was perfectly balanced, tuned, and volume was not too loud or soft. Very nice! Also, I don't understand people who complain about concession stand at a theater. I mean seriously people! IT'S A MOVIE THEATRE! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? 5 star service and food at cheap prices? Every theatre is the same. Long lines, crappy food, and poor employees who are sick of people complaining about how little or too much butter they put on your popcorn. Deal with it. When it comes to prices, again, same thing at every theatre, because you would be surprised with how little money they make off of the actual ticket prices. If it wasn't for concession stands, they would go out of business or have to charge $30 per ticket, so deal with the lines and support your movie theatre by getting that overpriced popcorn and soda. The convenience is worth the extra cost and it insures ticket prices stay down and theatre will stay in business. Great experience. The only place we go see movies now. read more

Regal 16 is now our primary movie theater. I think they have fixed the screen issues that they had in the beginning because I haven't had any problems in a long time. So, I am increasing my rating to 4 stars. They normally do not have enough staff at the front kiosk, so you have to plan to go in early and get your tickets. The bathrooms are also never cleaned as far as I can tell. Other than those two issues, this movie theater is great. They have a decent enough junk food selection (nachos are now by Moe's!) and they have Coke which makes us happy. You can generally catch the newest hot movie in RPX, 3D, Both or regular. We have earned a ton of free movies, sodas and popcorn's using Regal cards. NOTE: YOU CAN HAVE MORE THAN ONE REGAL CARD PER TRANSACTION. We use two at a time and reap the benefits. This is definitely the best southern/central Pinellas theater in my opinion. read more

The only complaint I have about this theater is that it is near where I work and I am a teacher so imagine who I tend to run into ha ha ha. I think this theater has a nice size and much like any theater, the prices are the same and the concession has a variety but same expensive prices. Many theaters and often shows more than one showing of a popular movie which is great if they sell out. One thing I dislike about the concession is that if you want flavoring for your popcorn, you have to purchase a container while most theaters keep their popcorn flavors out for free. One good thing if they have some lower fat options for those of us trying to watch out waste lines. Good place to catch a movie and great part is if the stores and restaurants nearby are open then you have a plethora of places to go before or after the movie. read more

This has the look of an older multiplex that has been somewhat updated. The prices, especially the concession prices, are high. With tax, I paid $4.91 for a 20 oz. bottle of Dasani water. It was a bit shocking, and I should have just said no... Interestingly this is clearly a part of their profit-model because they search all bags coming into the theater. I found that a little bit offensive and over-reaching. We also had a bad experience in that the showtime displayed on the Regal Cinemas app for the movie we wanted to see was wrong. We were offered a refund, but... we saw a different movie instead. I don't see myself coming back. read more

Went here for the release night of "Venom". Went to the upgraded RPX and upgraded to 3D in Auditorium 1. The Movie Theatre was an absolute mess with popcorn and drinks spilled in our seats and the floors were a mess. Brought this to an associates attention up front (ticket checker), they called someone several times over the radio to help but no one came heard a "Mayday" call over the radio. The agent stated they are very understaffed. Asked for a manager. All were busy and the associate said they are short staffed and apologized. Keep in mind this was on a Friday night on a big release night. After waiting an associate, another associate came by and said to just move over!!?? These are assigned seats on a premiere night!!! Finally I went to the concessions got a bunch of napkins, wet them and did some cleaning myself. Didnt expect this on an $18 ticket. After about 30 minutes there were 3 managers standing around the ticket borth so I approached them to let them know the situation. That didn't help. They said sorry we will take care of it. The worst possible experience ever. Go to AMC where they have top notch customer service and better management. read more

With the purchase of our MoviePasses, we've been trying to find the best theater and this one is up there on our list. The theater itself is huge, and has a full bar and beautiful concession stand. The theaters have reclining seats that are wonderful, though I wonder if my boyfriend stayed awake for the whole movie.... Will definitely be back! read more

I took my teenage son to a movie last night. I haven't been to this theater in years. To say it's gone downhill is a gross understatement. The ticket prices were more than I pay at my usual theater. The armrests of the seats were peeling. Bugs flew and hit both me & my son in the face. He also had a couple land on his bare legs. DISGUSTING! The lights never go all the way down, maybe to keep the bugs at bay. I'm not sure. We were very grossed out. We barely made it through the movie! You could not pay me to go to this theater again!!!! This movie theater is one of the nicest in the area. This place is clean and has nice comfortable seats. The price is expensive. The matinee is $8 and $10 for night shows. They do have military discount for $8 night shows. Sometimes they have the blood donation truck in the parking lot and they give you a free movie ticket for this place. The food price here is ridiculously high: $5.5 for a water bottle!! I never buy any food here. They have $1 movie shows in summer only on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10am. It is also located in a huge mall with a lot of stores around to kill time. read more

Good reclining seats, supple room space. The place has a bar and typical movie theater food, there's no significant restaurant though. The drinks are really overpriced compared to other movie theaters as well. you won't find any drinks of any size under five dollars. if you want a bigger screen and better food, go to Cobb. If you want a less busy theater, and less traffic come here. hopefully they can either upgrade their food choices or make their prices more competitive as the theater location is very convenient for me. read more

We came to Clearwater for the weekend and decided to finally watch the Avengers movie. We tried the RPX experience for our first time, which is $16.99 a ticket. There's two things that we were a little upset about. 1. The sound went out for about 5 minutes. We missed the conversation that was going on in the movie when that happened. They didn't stop it, rewind to what we missed or come in and at least let us know that they were sorry. Nothing! A couple people that were also watching the movie had to go and get an update. 2. A customer that was also watching the movie kept taking pictures of the screen and the flash kept going on! We reported it to Regal but it took them about half way through the movie to do something about it. So for about 1 hour we kept seeing the flash go off. Soooo aggravating! Finally an employee came in with an officer and removed him. The whole auditorium was so happy that we applauded. For this being our first time experience with RPX it really sucked! Don't think I'll ever pay $16.99 to get that experience again! read more

Regal has definitely stepped up their game trying to compete with AMC Cobb theaters now. Went last night and it was much more improved then previous visits. Nice leather seats that recline in the theaters with plenty leg room. They even put a bar in now as well. Though last night they needed more employees working. I wanted a beer but the bar was unattended to the whole time and concession had a line backed up with only two working behind the counter. Other then that the facility was clean and seats were comfortable. read more

The somewhat recent change to make every seat in every theater assigned seats with the leather recliners is very nice. There are 3 things preventing me from giving more stars: 1) the restrooms are terrible, need an entire overhaul and they smell bad. 2) the concession line never seem to go fast enough, I call it the "Walmart philosophy". 15 potential checkout lines, 2 people working and 15 people in line. As if $7 popcorn & sodas can't pay for another $9/hr employee or 2. 3) why can't there be 10+ automated ticket machines in the lobby instead of just 3. The more convenient you make it for customers the better. read more

Went to this movie theater today 2pm movie and some drunk people ruined it for us. They Continued to talk during the movie, giving no respect to anyone in the theater . The couple was wasted and in the middle of the movie I looked over at the man to ask him to please be quiet and he gave me the middle finger. My husband was not happy about this and unfortunately it got heated. We left and the drunk folks stayed. Will never go back to this place. read more

Haven't been to this Regal for six months. The place has really gone down hill, starting at the dirty front door glass (with a missing door handle). The restrooms are horrendous. Concession counter was greasy beyond belief. And the theater looked like it hadn't been cleaned between showings. Had to take a napkin and wipe off the seat. There are lots of other theaters. The worst customer service in the business! Have tried to rent a theater for an event for the last 2 weeks. Left multiple messages. Called their "rental line" - no one mans the phones. I've tried 9am, 12pm, 4pm - it just rings and rings. Go somewhere else that actually values your business. REGAL IS THE WORST! There's a reason theaters are flailing. Run down. They check your bags??? Really.. During the movie, this bright light in the midle kept coming on lighting up the entire movie theater!!! Ggggrrrr it would randomly turn off. All y'all be cray-cray to be ordering at the concession stands when there's a Target and Dollar Tree right next door to smuggle candy and chips in with... Especially when tickets have skyrocketed to almost $11 per adult. Holy crap! Since Regal is located in a large plaza, you get to take advantage of all of the parking spots... And even then there's no parking spots on the weekends. Amazing. At night all the tweens and obnoxious human beings come out to play, but there's always a flock of cops to shock the crap out of little delinquents. The interior is nice, big, and cold. Always bring a jacket! There's enough bathroom stalls for all the after-movie pissers. And the theaters themselves are actually pretty nice. The worse part is the lines. They can get crazy long if you get to the theater too late, but fortunately there are kiosks to get tickets from as well. The employees, for the most part, are pretty friendly. read more

A trip to the movies should be relaxing and fun. This trip had that feeling after I sat down in the theatre. I went to the concession stand to get popcorn (of course) and the lines were outrageously long. Multiple employees went behind the counter but non stopped to help the two lonely workers holding down the fort. While I was getting annoyed at standing there so long, I couldn't get mad at the two people trying to help. After the movie I went to the restrooms where soap, faucets and hand dryers were out of order. Two faucets were about to fall off, only one working soap dispenser and half of the hand dryers didn't work. When you charge almost $5 for small water you should be able to fix the faucets. read more
