We love Galaxy theatre. This is our preferred theatre in Riverside! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The concession stand moves FAST! We always get popcorn and they give free ice water with our order- which is a great perk. We generally find the theatres and bathrooms clean. I really love that they have fun photo props throughout the theatre space to take pics and remember our experiences. Way in the back of the theatre (by screen 5) they have giant TNMT figures- be sure to check them out if you're a fan. read more

I was looking for a movie theater to watch closer to my home in Menifee than Redlands and is tumbled upon Galaxy Theaters and was quite pleasantly surprised. It is nice, clean, newish inside. Nice reclining comfy seats and a table for food. It has a cool simulated night sky with stars on the ceiling. The sound system is amazing, maybe a tad loud but probably the best sound system I have heard in a movie theater. The service is quite good. Every one I interacted with was pleasant, respectful, and welcoming. They are well trained. I definitely plan on watching more Movies here. read more

When it came to start the movie, it was nothing but audio. It took ? Minutes to fix the issue. We pay more money and there is no one in the projection room. We had to go find someone and they were unaware that their theatre was not showing trailers or the movie. read more

This is the only theater we visit; friendly, helpful staff, food is very fresh, theater and restrooms are spotless! It is a little bit loud for me, but hubby loves the volume. I just use cotton or earplugs because I have super sensitive hearing. Love the recliners and little tables with drink holders. Been here a few times always enjoy a movie when it's not too crowded. This theater has seen better days but I can't complain. The service was wonderful from all the staff interactions start to finish. Large popcorn buckets have a perfect lid for sharing. Becoming its own bowl it's great add your flavor toppings and don't forget the napkins. There's nice upgrades to this theater but areas still waiting patiently for their updates. This theater layout had a downslope of steps that were easier on the knees. Spacious rows with reclining seats and trays. Sound was awesome! read more

I popped in on a whim to watch Frankenstein and omg... I forgot how freaking NICE this place is. AMC and Regal could never. The vibes? Boujie. The seats? Comfy recliners that actually recline without sounding like a dying robot. The snacks? Not just popcorn they've got alcohol and legit food options, and everything tastes way better than it has any right to inside a movie theatre.The whole place is clean, the bathrooms don't feel like a crime scene, and the throwback showings are such a vibe. Except their great service, Galaxy theaters Mission Grove left so much luxury to be desired. Screen quality was terrible, sound was mid, the theater was SO cold I had to buy a blanket (which they had, luckily. Food was expensive and bad. We had the brisket nachos and brisket was chewy and cold. Nachos were ok. Concessions were pricey. Our combo came with a drink and caramel cheesecake bites. They were yummy! Super disappointed that we drove out 40 minutes to watch a movie that was only being played at certain theaters. Tickets were $16.50 and not worth it. Theater is run down and dirty, seat leather is peeling and crusty. Won't be returning! read more

I love this theater ! Picking your seat is very easy ... the theaters are always clean as well as the restrooms. Staff is always friendly. I come on Tuesdays as I am a rewards member so that I collect points and get half off my movie. I also love their value combo - I can't eat a lot so it's perfect to have a little popcorn and soda! Their concession stand also has beer , wine and cocktails ! As well as plenty of food items . Their hot dog is my dacofire Changing my review from 4 stars to 3 stars. We shouldn't be forced to watch ads about vaccines and meds as well as commercials. I want to watch another movie so I wait for my family but I didn't know if that was allowed. I went to the front and meet up with a person named Ale. She was really nice. She understands that I was uncomfortable from the horror movie and she gave me another movie ticket, Superman (2025) so when the horror movie finishes Superman 2025 can finish at the same time. Wasn't too impressed. Ordered food girl walked away when i was in mid order. Continue to order girl seemed to be lost. Got food after about 25 mins of waiting. Pizza wasnt cooked all the way through. I had to get knife to cut pizza , picked up slice all cheeae slide off ‍. Took it back after bite seeing that it was raw. Took it back to get something else, got a hotdog and difference. Then the girl said if i wanted condiments i was like yes, then asked me if I wanted it on the side. Like wtf i don't want you dressing my food for me. Bun was hard on the end and soggy in the middle, i just ate the protein threw bun in trash. seat was trash and worn out. The popcorn seemed stale and flavorless even after butter. I watched a movie here for the first time and enjoyed the whole experience! There are kiosks to buy tickets from as well as the customer service desk. The snack bar staff were quick and efficient. I love that they have little slips to customize your hot dog toppings and lids for the popcorn. They also give a good amount of cheese and jalapeños for the nachos! This theater also sells alcohol. Im in the upmost disappointed at this theater. I am a very understanding person but when it comes down to traveling an hour to this movie theater for a screening of demon slayer and i have to pay an adult admission ticket for my 9 MONTH OLD (adult ticket price) for their reasons of inconvenience is absurd my baby made no noise did not cry and when baby laughed my significant other and I removed ourselves with her because we are considerate ( mind you it was like 10 min ) and we should have got refunded the management and employees made no sense of fee is it for inconvenience or because it's rated r n my 9 month old is too small to even understand... ridiculous and disappointed they made us feel stupid the way they spoke to us as if we know about this.. read more

I would like to inform everyone of a serious and deeply distressing incident that occurred during my most recent visit to Galaxy Theatres Mission Grove, a location I have supported and frequented for years, often recommending it to friends, family, and other local professionals in the Riverside community as a local business owner. With my background in the legal field, I always take care to understand and comply with stated policies. At the time of ticket purchase, the only explicit policy presented was the MPAA Rating Policy: "R - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian." There was no mention prohibiting sealed snacks or water, both of which I have routinely brought with me without issue in the past to this theater. Upon entry, my bag was opened and reviewed in full by a theater employee and a security guard named Mia. The contents, including sealed snacks and drinks, were clearly visible and approved without objection. We were granted entry without issue. Approximately two hours into the film, an employee named Bradley approached and insisted that our drinks be thrown away. While we found the timing disruptive as the film was nearing its conclusion, we complied without argument and disposed of the drink. However, rather than walking away, Bradley remained near our seats, hovering over us and refusing to let the matter end. He then began to escalate the situation further by aggressively demanding that we now discard all of our snacks, items which had already been inspected and explicitly permitted at entry. When I calmly pointed out this contradiction, Bradley became hostile and confrontational, dismissing our concerns and falsely claiming that security had not seen the items. He then began issuing threats of using force for our removal from the theater simply because I asked for clarification. His behavior was intimidating, unnecessary, and harassing, especially given our full cooperation and calm demeanor. Fearing further escalation, I told my family, which included my elderly parents and 10-year-old cousin, that we should leave the theater. As we made our way out, Bradley returned again, this time with security guard Mia. When we opened the doors to leave, Both Bradley and Mia positioned themselves in a way that physically blocked our exit path. At least two additional security guards began walking toward us in what appeared to be a coordinated show of force. At that moment, I began recording the situation on my phone. Upon seeing this, the guards immediately disengaged and walked past us without comment, further suggesting that there was no actual security concern, just an effort to intimidate us. We had caused no disruption, made no threats, and followed all rules as presented. Yet we were treated as if we were hostile or dangerous which is an absurd characterization, especially considering the makeup of our group and our peaceful conduct. The entire ordeal felt like targeted harassment and discrimination. This was not just an inconvenience, it was a humiliating and alarming experience. We came for a peaceful family outing and left feeling threatened, embarrassed, and disrespected. To be clear, this complaint is not directed at Galaxy Theatres Mission Grove as a whole. I have supported this location for years and have never encountered an issue like this before. This is specifically about the conduct of one employee, Bradley, whose behavior was unprofessional, aggressive, and a clear liability to this business. His actions not only disrupted our evening but violated the trust I've placed in this establishment as a safe, family-friendly environment. I am considering appropriate legal steps and intend to inform the Riverside community so they can make informed choices. After years of loyalty, what happened on Friday night was unacceptable and it should never happen to anyone else. I will not be going back. read more

Except for one big issue, this is a great theater. The amount of commercials, not previews but actual commercials, insurance ads 2-3 times for the same ad. It's annoying and excessive and honestly really brings the whole experience down. They even show ads once the trailers have started. I have been going to this movie theater for many years. It's one of the best. The service staff are polite and the food and adult beverages are wonderful. Date night approved. What I love the most about it, is they provide special older movies that you just want to enjoy again.
