This was a fun little dinner show, the food was really simple and your typical faire for a dinner show in that area. Fried chicken, barbecue, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and their signature creamy vegetable soup. The show itself was fun natured and the cast were fun and energetic as well as funny. Our server, chip, was hilarious himself, and that just added to the front of the experience. At the end, you're going to find yourself wandering through the gift shop, and I'm not going to encourage you or discourage you either way, but it's a great place to meander while you're partner or spouse are in the bathroom. read more

We did the 5pm show on a Thursday. We bought our tickets inside the Dollywood Park at a little stand. They did a $5 off on each ticket but any of the coupon books you see in town have a $3 off adult ticket coupon that is good for up to 6 people. The food was good but definitely not anything special. We were served fried chicken and pulled pork which those that ate it said was good. I had a vegetarian meal which you have to request when you get the tickets. They served me a large portion of steamed veggies and a large portion of veggies and rice. I also ate the corn on the cob and mashed potatoes and I had the creamy soup which was very good (but does have a chicken broth in it). The drinks are Coke products or iced tea. One thing to know, they stop serving food when the show starts so make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before so you can get seated and get served. The show was really entertaining! The kids (7, 9, and 12) were mesmerized the entire show. The have an entire pool under the floor which they dive into. You can buy beer and other adult beverages at the bar outside the theater. The only reason this is a 2 star review is our server was great & the food was mediocre. THE SHOW IS ATROCIOUS! Soup & bread were decent & served immediately after sitting down. The story is boring, the acting is terrible. The jokes are pulled right from a hee haw episode. I thought there might be..... you know fighting, since it's the Hatfield & McCoys. They tell you to be there 1 hr before showtime, so you can stand in a line outside that wraps the entire building in 20 degree weather. Dinner shows are so weird for me because I love them and hate them. This one is no exception. The outside is cute and has some fun photo opps and cute animals. Check in was easier than all the other dinner shows I have been to. The food was fine and there is tons of it so you can really fill up. It was raining like crazy the day we went. They have as many people as possible try to squeeze under the little tent area. They should maybe open about 15 minutes prior since we have to go and take the picture and then they send us through a wild goose chase through the gift store to get in another line just to go inside which is ridiculous. They just want us to spend more money on outrageously priced items. We figured out with the prices they charge they make probably about $50k-54k per show. The show is extremely cheesy with fake punches that they're not very good at acting out. I think it's more cheesy For Kids, not really for adults. The food... you get coleslaw(was ok), cream soup, chicken(extremely dry), pulled pork(soso), corn (over boiled) and mashed potatoes. The guy brought us more chicken which I felt bad for him doing that because he dumped a whole bucket extra. But they don't let you take food home so it's a ton of food completely wasted. They should at least let you take home that food instead of throwing it away. read more

What a fun experience!! Visiting Pigeon Forge and we selected this show. Get there an hour before showtime. You will wait in line to get in. Once in and seated, your server is very attentive. Non-alcoholic drinks come with your ticket, but ordering beer, wine and specialty cocktails is easy enough via a QR code at the table. There is a bar in the lobby you can get served at too. HAVE YOUR ID. They will check every time. The food is all you can eat, but your first serving was plenty for us - fried chicken, pulled pork, dinner rolls, mashed potato, coleslaw and corn on the cob. All was home cookin' delicious! The atmosphere puts you into "Hatfield & McCoy" territory where everyone is a cousin. Rustic vibes. The show is great!! Talented artists dancing, being funny, doing acrobatics and playing music! We went November 9, so it was the "Christmas Disaster" show. Loved it!! Definitely recommend! We sat stage left about halfway up. There are no bad seats. We have visited this dinner show previously and wanted to come back because it had been several years. Food was sub par at best (not like previous years), service was terrible, and the show was boring. Chicken was bland and skin was soggy. The soup starter was decent. Nothing else really had flavor. We paid for the vip service as well which was a joke. Maybe it was an off night but for the money we spent we left very disappointed. We ended up grabbing dinner after the show because the dinner "feast" didn't get eaten. Don't know that will will return based on this years experience. A family-friendly type of show with dinner. It isn't the best place for a date night, but it would be great for a family outing. If you have kids that will clap, cheer and participate, you will have a great time. The storyline is entertaining and the cheesy sound effects added to the humor. They were off cue multiple times, but I think it made the show funnier. The actors actually broke character but definitely adapted. One even said "BANG" since the gunshot was so delayed. Piece of advice, try not to sit on the far sides of the theater as you will see the actors getting ready for the next scene. Lastly, the meal was alright. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and banana pudding could use a bit of TLC. However, the pulled pork was extremely good and flavorful and the sweet tea was solid. Great show for the kids and it's easy in and out. Not too crowded and the seating is very easy to get in and out. Very laid back. The food service was fast and it was good. All the people and serving staff were great! But don't take my word for it. Stop in and watch the show and have dinner. Only draw back for me is not bringing in money for a tip: but they had a ATM to get money so that worked out for me. Nothing fancy for the food side but it is well worth it. Simple and nice. We decided to give the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud a try while in Pigeon Forge. Tickets were around $80 per person, which isn't terrible for a dinner and a show. The line to get in was long but moved fairly quickly. Once inside, though, we felt herded like cattle -- maybe that's part of the "feud" experience? Before being seated, everyone was required to take photos, which we had absolutely no interest in, but there wasn't really a choice. When we finally got to our table, it was extremely tight and crowded. The guests next to us were practically elbow-to-elbow, and the host didn't seem interested in helping us make space. We ended up spending several minutes just trying to adjust the tables ourselves to sit comfortably (and we're average-sized people who can fit in small spaces). The food was okay at best. The soup, potatoes, and BBQ were lukewarm, and while the chicken was warm, it was unfortunately pretty dry. Drinks came quickly, and our server was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and easily the best part of the experience. As for the show -- it was fun, family-friendly, and had a few good laughs, but it dragged at times and felt repetitive. It didn't help that they repeatedly reminded the audience to tip the servers and visit the gift shop to "help keep the show running." At $80 per ticket, and a packed house, that pitch felt unnecessary and took away from the entertainment. Overall, it wasn't awful, but it definitely wasn't worth the price. Between the cramped seating, mediocre food, and constant upselling, we left feeling rushed and underwhelmed. This is a purpose built venue for this show. Aka. Everything leading up to the show would suggest that the show was written with intention, purpose, quality, and an audience in mind. However, I've seen better produced shows made by preteen girls in living rooms with five minutes prep time that didn't cost me hundreds of dollars to watch. About 30% of the dialogue was inaudible. Most of the jokes were taken from an episode of Hee-Haw about 50 years ago. I was embarrassed for the actors having to perform. They all did a great job, as best they could with what they were given, but I hope they never have to use this for a résumé to anyone who's ever seen the show. They spent nearly an hour leading up to the show, trying to sell us more things (after charging us for the show) including other experiences (owned by the same company) and their gift shop items. I've been to countless theater productions from broadway to middle school and I can say with some clarity that this one fell the furthest from its mark. The best part of the show was when the sound team seemed to miss a mark and the delay caused the actors to break the 4th wall and had a genuine laugh with the audience. Aka the best part of a dance and music show was a potential planned accident of the sound team missing a cue. The singers were inarticulate. Either from the quality of equipment or their diction. They sounded like very good singers so I'd venture a guess that it was either the mix (sound) or the speaker array. The dancers were doing a great job. The pulled pork was decent), opening /eating time is one big shill (commercials for their other shows on the big screen, opening remarks all about spending more money) The show was silly, with some rude humor (I'm not one for toilet humor over dinner), good instrument playing, some completely unnecessary water splashing, a small homage to 'stomp', and a lot of corniness. But our 8 yr old was giggling through the whole show. Us adults shared a ton of eyeroll glances. If you love the hoop de doo review at disney, lower your expectations considerably and check this one out. What a great dinner show! The dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding. The pre-show music was fantastic. They had clogging, diving into a pool, dancing in water, and other great feats. Plot was just a feuding family at Christmas time. Nothing too specific to the Hatfield and McCoy story line as much (with a few minor exceptions). I would definitely go again. If I would've known they had "sides" to cheer for, I would've asked for a specific side. Instead, I got to sit on the wrong side while everyone cheered around me for the wrong family, lol. We went to this dinner show with a large group (about 40 of us). The food was good (chicken, coleslaw, corn, mash potatoes, soap and biscuits). My favorite was the soup and BBQ pulled chicken. The dinner was ok and funny. The funniest parts were when they missed up their lines or the tech guys missed a sound and laughed about it. I liked this show a little better than some of the other shows we've done. The only negative in my opinion was our table / group were some of the last section to be served even though we were seated at a decent time. It took a while for the food to arrive. As I looked around I noticed other tables dishes were already being picked up.... After the food arrived at our table and we started to eat about 5 minutes later the lights went down and the show started. In our section it was so dark we couldn't see our plates to finish eating lol..... I had to turn my flashlight on my IPhone on so I could see then I noticed four or five other tables doing the same thing. I want to preface this review by saying nice the staff was and how talented the actors were. That being said, save your money. The food is mediocre. The service is great. The show is mediocre. The funniest part was when the sound effect for a gunshot went off about 30 seconds after the mayor shot the gun. Everyone started laughing, including the people on stage. It made everyone else laugh. I highly recommend skipping this dinner theater and going to Dolly Parton's Stampede or the Pirate Show. I have not done either but each look super cool. read more

Another reservation made for JD's birthday weekend brought us to the H&M dinner show in Pigeon Forge. Things we knew before arriving. We'd be sitting on either the Hatfield or the McCoy side. What food would be served. Besides that, we didn't know much more. We were leaving the titanic museum and just walked across the parking lot. It started to rain so there was about 100 of us under the tent at the entrance. They ask that you arrive 45 minutes before show time. We figured out once we got to our seats that's because they instantly started bringing out your food. Served from a server named cuz, all the food comes out in individual metal buckets. Super cute idea and fits the theme. The pulled pork is called squirrel meat. The coleslaw is called grass clippings. (You catching my drift!!!) I tried at least one bite of everything and the only thing that was a big no for our table was the fried chicken. Our bucket was dry and flavorless. As for the show, I'm not a musical lover. Loved Grease and Willy Wonka as a kid, but outside of that I've gone most of my adult life to stay away from all other musicals. With that being said, the H&M show was fun. Dorky, but fun! We had tons of laughs. I'm glad we went. The mayor and sheriff made the whole show enjoyable for me. We were on the Hatfield side and our side definitely was not as into it as the people on the McCoy side. They were much louder than us when it came time to cheer. One of the biggest laughs of the night came from a blunder between the mayor shooting his gun to break a window and the sound guy hitting the button to make the glass breaking sound. We also got a big laugh out of the audience participation part of the show. Finally, the mayor mentioned the number of pancake houses two or three times during the show and we got a big laugh out of that because we had started counting the pancake houses as we drove through town. We stood in line for about 15 minutes (the website advises arriving an hour early), and once inside, we were seated at our assigned table. Drinks came quickly, and our server--full of energy and charm with her Southern drawl--explained the menu and kept us entertained before the show began. Dinner is served before the performance, and it was plentiful! We enjoyed fried chicken (or "yard bird," as our server called it), BBQ pulled pork, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, coleslaw, creamy vegetable soup, a roll, and dessert (choice of Oreo pudding or banana pudding). Everything is all-you-can-eat, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The show itself was lively and fun. There was plenty of humor, some great singing, impressive dancing, and even a few acrobatics mixed in. We purposely avoided the front rows to steer clear of the splashing during certain parts of the performance. Overall, it was an entertaining evening with good food, laughs, and family-friendly fun. We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was so much fun. The server, "Cousin Shauna" was attentive, food was tasty and the show was great. Although there was a very long line to check in it went fast. I loved the fact that we were able to get a table just for two people and didn't have to sit with strangers like many other dinner shows. We had our purchased photos fall into a crack in the floor and the staff tried to help us get them out and reprinted new ones immediately when we were unable to retrieve them. I wasn't expecting as good of food for the show as usually with these kinds of things it's very poor as you're paying for the show.
