The employee was friendly and it was a very enjoyable experience. There was also a lot of previews which I didn't mind that much since they were good. The main thing that stood out was this felt strange. It was a very big place with dim lights, silence, and only about one employee. But it was similar to a ghost town. There was barely anybody at this place. To be fair it is Tuesday night but it's February break so I assumed there would be more people. This theater came around in the mid 90s and when it did, it was an absolute treat to be able to go see a movie here. Overtime, other regal cinemas have made major changes and overhauls to their entire appearance, seating concessions, etc. this particular theater seems to just be stuck in the 90s and not in a good way. I came here on Friday night for a special event with a group of friends and unfortunately showtimes for this particular film were not available at the other regal. We usually go to so we had to come here. The lobby is old and dated nothing has changed. Other than some new video games in the game section that was about it. When we actually entered the theater, we were watching the film in. It was all of the original seating from the 90s and the stickiest floors I have ever walked on in my entire life. I mean, come on how on earth do the people who clean this theater don't think that these floors are sticky? It was dead quiet in there because it had not filled up yet and every single step almost felt it was going to take my shoe off. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention there was also a feedback noise coming from the speaker on the right of the theater the entire time. Fortunately, because this was more of a fan event that had occurred, people were more in tune with all the fans just all being together and enjoying something together and cheering. I don't know if it is because the Solomon pond mall was supposedly bought out by somebody else and we are going to get a new updated mall soon and maybe they're holding off on doing any renovations until it is bought out by somebody else? I honestly have no clue but the mall is an absolute joke and so is this theater. Absolutely pathetic. Management should be embarrassed the fact that they can't send people in there to properly clean floors of theaters that look like a mess and our stickier than ever. The movies always have random amounts of trailers so you never know when the movie will start. Some movies start right at showtime, some movies the trailers dont start until 5 or 10 minutes after showtime and run for 20 minutes other times they only run for 10 minutes. Also most films barely make it a week or two because they cater to the Indian community, so it's mostly just Bollywood movies now. So if you want to feel like you're in another country and watch foreign films this is the place, but remember it's only Bollywood and sometimes Arabic, nothing else. Really going down hill. Why are we catering to these people they should either start their own cinemas or assimilate and appreciate our films. Plus if you complain to the management about problems such as loud kids, feet on seats, etc, no one cares. read more

Beyond filthy. Popcorn everywhere, drinks spilled on the floors, trashcans overflowing. Bathrooms were equally disgusting. No toilet paper in ANY of the stalls, and no paper towels either. The concession stands were insanely long. Waited 30+ minutes just for stale popcorn. Pepsi had run out by the time we got to the front of the line. There was only one digital kiosk to purchase tickets, otherwise you have get in the mile long concession stand line to purchase your tickets. Nobody checks ticket stubs, so you could literally walk right into this place with your own snacks and drinks and sit in any theater you want. The theater was just as dirty as the main lobby. Cup holders were filled with trash from previous moviegoers. The seats are SO uncomfortable and stiff. Can't recline back at all which makes it very difficult to sit through a long movie. Lets not even talk about the 30 minutes of advertisements you are forced to sit through before the movie even starts. These theaters need some serious updates/renovations and new management or they will soon be closing their doors. read more

For better or worse, this theater feels very stuck in the 90s. The decor is very dated, but maybe that's your vibe. I was seated in theater 9 and it felt like it also had not been updated or maintained, really, since the 90s. The seat next to mine looked like it was about to fall in, my seat's back cushion basically had no cushioning at all. Paint peeling off the railings. The sound and picture seemed pretty good, but they never turned the house lights down fully, which felt a little strange. It seemed like there is no box office and there wasn't anyone to check or take tickets. Can you just walk into a theater without a ticket? Is it just honors system? Sure seems like it! They print tickets at the concessions stand, but no one ever checked them. This was my first time going back here in a few years and I don't know if I plan on coming back. We were there Thanksgiving weekend. We arrived 45 minutes before the start of our movie and ended up missing the first 10 minutes of the start. Concession line was so long and employees not knowledgeable and misdirecting guests. Clearly the facility lacks strong management. I don't blame the employees they were short staffed and doing the best they could. Our attendee would disappear over 10 minutes to fill drinks. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Took over 40min to get through food line. Associate disappeared from register for 10min. Every associate observed (at least 4) touched their face and/or hair repeatedly. Also everyone held the popcorn containers in a way that their hands were in your popcorn. Floor was disgustingly dirty. Concession stand counters were dirty and full of food. Bathrooms without toilet paper, soap and dirty. Garbage cans were overflowing and garbage all over floors. Compared to other theaters we have had bad expieriences with that have blatantly discriminated against us because of our age, this establishment is awesome! Every time I go here it's great. Personally I like how it's never been updated, it's a great 90s time capsule, and they keep it clean (As far as I can tell). The theater itself is also great! The EV (Electro-Voice) sound system sounds amazing even 25 years later! I am an audiophile, and most movie theater sound systems don't impress me at all but this one does! Only thing I don't like is Regals new logo. It's stupid looking to put it simply. But anyways if your in the area and want to catch a movie, I highly recommend this place! Someone might disagree with me. But this is my opinion based on all my past experiences here, your entitled to your own opinion. And reviews are opinion based. I really love this cinema. Every screen is gorgeous and bright, in the proper 2.39 ratio, WITH masking for 1:85 ratio films. Not every theater does that these days, but this one does and it's so beautiful. Great and clear audio systems too, the sound is always pleasingly loud in every auditorium. I also really appreciate just how no-nonsense this theater is. No dumb direct-to-seat dining options where audience members have to shout during the film to order some grub, and no stupid reclining seats that take up too much space and aren't even comfortable because they don't go far back enough. This place is about one thing: THE MOVIES! As it should be! And they show them well, with the respect they deserve. I'm very thankful this theater is still around. The other one. which I shall not name (but it's right next to the Natick Mall), sucks so bad compared to this one. But this Regal right here, next to Solomon Pond Mall, is fantastic. I really need to emphasize again just how great movies look at this place, projection is really perfect and those screens are massive and wide. The staff is great here too, very friendly, kind, and helpful. When I'm here, I feel like family. The urinal in the restroom in the left half of the theater needs to be addressed though. I can't remember if it's ever even worked, I'm pretty sure there's been a trash bag over it since the beginning of time. It's not really an issue though, because the other restroom (by auditorium 13) is perfect. Soooo many stalls it's incredible just use that one. Very clean too! And if I can throw one more complaint I guess I wish the movie selection here was a little wider. We need more of those "artisan" films. read more

The theater itself isn't bad but I went to the snack bar to ask which type of oil they use for their hot dogs and the person I dealt with, didn't know, so he asked the manager and the manager replied to me: "I have no idea" I have a lot of allergies and needed to know which type of oil they use and the fact that the manager didn't know was wrong. He neglected to go out back and look. Allergies are a serious matter and you should not be a manager if you won't take your customers serious with their allergies. This is an ok movie theater. I used to go to Regal in Westboro which was way nicer. The picture is great hear. The problem is with the sound. Not sure if it is 1 or 2 theater rooms. The sound is way to sharp on the highs. Ear piercing at times. Might just be the center channel. I keep thinking I will talk to the sound engineer there (if one actually exists) but I never do, then I am watching the movie and wanting to kill him/her !!! Other than that... it is a movie theater. Place is a disaster. Went Thanksgiving weekend to see Gladiator 2 because we hadn't gone to the movies in a while. We bought our tickets online. We walked into the main entrance of the theater and there were giant lines at the concessions and the whole place looked like a bomb went off with debris and trash all over the place... almost turned around and walked out because it seemed like there was something wrong with no staff in sight and for a minute we figured something must have happened to create the disaster we were looking at. We walked in anyway because seeing the movie was our plan for the night and despite the scene in the lobby (and throughout the hallways, etc.) they were still showing movies. There was nobody collecting tickets so we could have just walked in and I'm sure a lot of people did just that. The theater itself is uncomfortable with seats that are are like sitting on wood... close together and tight and outdated... and then they made us sit through 40 minutes of commercials and previews after the movie start time (as if the seats weren't uncomfortable enough) before they finally started the movie. Time for Regal to sell this place to a company that will renovate and manage properly. I sent a note to Regal (not asking for a refund just to inform them that they should wake up) and they basically responded "thanks so much but f off." I'll drive the extra half hour to Framingham next time we want to go see a movie unless or until this place changes hands. read more

This was the only place still showing Mr. Popper's Penguins so I drove out of my immediate area to hit the mid afternoon matinee. It is a big place and buying tickets gets easier as you can get them on line and walk up and get your held ticket out of the machine. The large popcorn and large soda were the biggest I have yet to see. Def worth the money if you share and get refills. I like the tub vs the paper bag I get at Flutie. Every time I get the paper bag I can envision dumping the sucker all over me. Its hard to walk and carry all of it. Who doesn't like salt and butter on their popcorn right? Well here they put it on for you so it is like a quick dash and a shot over the top. I do like the self serve at the Flutie location better. I am not crazy about the digital moving menu. Just as I am scanning through it to see what I want to order it changes to a "commercial" and then circles back to a different menu. I realize they want to catch my attention but now that you have it I'd like to actually read it. I always get cold at the movies so bring an extra sweatshirt if you do too. read more

Wow, did this place go down hill fast. Used to be here once every week or two, but have been going to the movies less lately - and to other theaters. Usually when checking movie times we've noticed that Regal Marlborough has at least 1/2 of their screens playing old animes and Bollywood (Indian made, Indian market) movies for some reason. Showed up today to find the ticket booths were gone - "buy tickets at the counter" - okay, sure, a new system... Two tickets for a weekday afternoon show, $29 - now that's gone up a bit. Many registers, only one staffed was staffed, lots of lights off. We ordered food off the menu and "sorry we don't have that" was the answer for four different advertised items. Of the dozen or so food offerings advertised (steak tacos, BBQ pork tacos, chimichurri, chicken bacon sandwich) we were told that ONLY barbecue chicken version of the taco was available, which was not on the menu board (?). Fine, two orders of BBQ chicken tacos. OK how about a Coke Zero? Nope, we just switched to Pepsi yesterday, welcome to Soviet Russia. The large beverage rang up for $1.25 more than advertised, wish I'd noticed when I paid. What even. The handful of staffers needed to discuss who could "do kitchen" and in a totally confidence-inducing exchange, directly in front of us the customers, they sent a guy who could "maybe" figure it out into a back room ostensibly to prepare our food. Having ordered about 5 minutes before the trailers started, we found ourselves receiving our food 18 minutes AFTER the trailers began. In the mean time we were informed that the many changes were due to "a British company" buying the theater chain a few days before. Oh joy. After a grueling 20+ minute wait for our food, we were handed two unmarked brown cardboard boxes that felt suspiciously cold, and one plastic fork. When I asked "may I have another fork" I was told by the 'maybe' cook guy "I gave it to her" (gesturing to my companion) so I asked asked again for ANOTHER fork "yeah she has it" - OK she has A fork, may I have one more? Apparently the Brits are a bit stingy with the flatware in their businesses. We got into the theater with about a minute to spare (nearly 25 minutes of previews? also new) and bit in to our tacos to find that they were cold, and absolute garbage. Let me explain what I mean by garbage. Cubed chicken breast, a strip of lettuce, and no sauce or other sort of flavoring whatsoever, served on what I can only describe as an undercooked, folded in half naan bread (was this leftover from the Bollywood menu?). The food was cold. Not warm, not lukewarm, but a hair under room temperature COLD. How? Perhaps 3 minutes elapsed between being handed our food, opening our cardboard boxes, and taking a bite... how can it take 20+ minutes to "cook" precooked cubed chicken, throw it in a flatbread with a single piece of lettuce, and have it be cold in under 5 minutes?! Who makes a taco without sauce? Who makes a taco on a middleastern/central asian flatbread? $12 flushed down the toilet... or should I say "loo"? Times two. All said the bill was about $60 for two weeknight matinee tickets to a film in 2D, six small, cold, tasteless tacos, and a large drink of not-coke. For the record that's 5 hours of work at minimum wage here in good old Massachusetts. What a sham. I used to LOVE coming to this theater. Great sound system, great screens/projecters, good quality seats and good offerings and showtimes... when they started offering food 2-3 years ago, we were blown away by how good the Korean BBQ street tacos were and stopped eating out at restaurants before movies because it was 1) really cheap, like $10/plate and 2) incredible quality. This was not a FIRST terrible experience this was a let down after years of quality service. I want my money back, and I can't see returning any time soon. read more

What a dump. This movie theater has not been updated in 15 years and it shows. Whereas other movie theaters have IMAX, Dolby Digital Sound, this theater has... nothing. While other movie theaters have reclining seats, this theater has... nothing. When other movie theaters have clean floors, this theater has... floors that are constantly grimy and covered in popcorn. If you have options, select those instead. They don't even have digital signs outside of the theaters letting you know what movie is playing inside. read more

I took a special needs client to the 80th Anniversary showing of The Wizard of Oz. The theatre area was just ok, not an updated one but our seats were fine as we got into them about a half hour before the show started. The one huge problem is the way the refreshment area is being staffed. They only had two guys handling the area with a huge line. I stood in line for 25 minutes just for drinks. When I got to the check out, i I noticed the counters were dirty and full of debris from napkins, straws etc. The floors were disgusting with popcorn and other trash strewn all over. The poor employees were trying to do their best and they actually had good attitudes considering the stress of trying to get everyone served in a timely manner. We ended up missing the first few minutes of the movie. This is just unacceptable when you show up half an hour before it starts. read more

They really need to rethink their advertising. If the sign that is promoting adult beverages says the Sangria is $5.99, how can you charge your customers $8.99. And no one can correct the system?! Really?! Then it gets better- the theater doesn't have the right film listed. When I check with the ticket people they say the ticket is right. We will see. Can't recommend this theater. It is worn. Not a fan of having my tickets ripped by the ticket booth seller and then again checked again by the General ticket ripping guy one foot away! I'm a woman in my forties and my bag got searched. Does it matter whether I wear my little red nylon bag backpack style or a clutch or a shoulder bag? Does it matter that other women didn't get checked? Floors are sticky everywhere. I will never go back to this theater. They have combined ticket sales with concessions so it takes a very long time time to serve customers. We bought tickets online ahead of time and wanted to get a drink for the movie. We waited in line for 40 minutes and there were still 3 people in front of us when they walked away from our register and started helping other lines. It took a few minutes of us asking what was going on before we were told that the register stopped working and we should get in another line and wait another 40 minutes. Luckily the customers in other lines let us go ahead of them. When we finally made it to our theater, over 30 minutes late, there were people sitting in our assigned seats so we had to sit in the first row. The theater was filthy, the trash cans overflowing, I skidded on nacho cheese in the lobby, and most of the toilets were clogged. We asked for a manager multiple times and no one paid attention to us. The whole experience was terrible. read more

My only complaint is I wish staff had a way of looking up long time members who do not have the rewards card on hand or the app. I was told I only needed my email address to redeem my free popcorn and they could handle it but when I got there they asked for my card and when I said I did not have it, they asked for the app qr code, which I also didnt have because I do go often enough to download the app. I told them I spoke on the phone and was told my email was good enough and I showed the email I recieved for the free popcorn but they said that the computer wasnt letting her enter it manually and if I could get the card or download the app. With slight anxiety I explained my data doesnt let me download apps offline and eventually she said "oh whatever it was a small popcorn right?" I nodded in agreement and with much politeness she gave us the popcorn and told us which theatre we had. Not once did she lose her cool or get rude she actually was very sympathetic and in fact felt bad that the proccess was giving me a hard time too. Built in 1996, this theater is showing its age and is in need of serious refurbishing. It does have "stadium seating," but seats are the old-school non-reclining style. You can order tickets on-line, but since seats are not reserved, why pay an additional service charge just to buy a general admission ticket? Now my personal story of frustration: On a Wednesday I ordered tickets online to a Sunday 3:45 showing of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I printed out the tickets, which showed the 3:45 start time and a location of Auditorium 1. Our party of four arrived at 3:30. The ticket taker in the lobby scanned my printout and we proceeded to Auditorium 1. It was empty, which I thought was curious. At 3:45 no one else had entered the auditorium and nothing was on the screen. I went back to the lobby and asked the ticket taker if he knew what was going on. He advised me that the start time had been changed to 4:10. So I went back to Auditorium 1, assuming that the movie would begin at 4:10. But 4:10 came and went and still no movie. This time I went to the ticket booth in the lobby and asked the woman there for an explanation. She told me that not only had the start time been changed, but the screening had been relocated to Auditorium 9. So my group hurriedly dashed over to Auditorium 9. We managed to find seats there, but we missed the first ten minutes of the movie. This begs the obvious question: Why are films and showtimes at Regal Solomon Pond not posted directly outside of each auditorium entrance, as is the practice at every other multi-theater complex? This was my first visit ever to Regal Solomon Pond. And it will be my last. read more

I have come here many times over the years. I would say it's your typical mall movie theater. It's usually decently clean going in, going out is another matter, lots of people just throw their trash on the ground after a movie and trash cans are sometimes over flowed. But as soon as the movie ends I see a clean up crew on standby to get to it right away which is nice to see. Sometimes the service at the ticket window is a little slow, mainly now I use Fandango to get my tickets ahead of time. I highly recommend getting tickets ahead, you don't have to wait in line and just walk in! If the service was faster I would probably give 5 stars. read more

I do not get to go out to the movies as much as I would like to and tonight was a bit of a disappointing experience.I chose this theater as the movie I wanted to see "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" was playing at a time that was convenient for me. I went on a Tuesday and was disappointed that the theater did not have any discounts on tickets. Other theaters in the area have deep discounts on the tickets, but I will get to that in a second. The theater did have 50% of popcorn as today's discount. I should note that this was my first time coming to this theater as I did not know it existed until I used the Regal App to find a movie time that worked for me. The main theater area was clean, as were the bathrooms. The staff was very nice and friendly. But when I got into the theater I was the first person in the theater. I noticed that there was still trash in the theater from the last showing (starbucks cup in cup holder, soda cup on the floor and other debris on floor). Not a huge deal but just a poor first impression. I sat down as the movie was going to start and I was immediately uncomfortable. I changed seats, and rows and still was uncomfortable. The seats did not recline or move, this was not the problem. I know this is an older theater and was lacking some of the "newer features".The problem was that the chairs had some sort of support bar in the middle of the seat. This caused you to feel like you had something in your back and prevented you from getting comfy. I found that 4 seats I sat in had this issue. I did not keep moving as other people came in and did not want to act crazy moving seats and rows. My main complaint and frustration from tonight was that that I know other theaters in the area with larger seats, newer projectors and sound system were several dollars cheaper per ticket on Tuesdays. The other theaters charge 8.50 for the same movie, and you get a lot more for it. I paid over $13 dollars and got an uncomfortable seat, smaller theater and a not a good experience In retrospect I should have driven a bit farther down the road and gone a bit later this evening for the cheaper ticket and newer theater experience. I do not think I will be coming back, which I sad because the theater was so close and convenient for me. read more
