I was really surprised at how clean this movie theater was. One of the big reasons I don't go to movie theaters anymore is because they're always so filthy. Regal South Glenn really stands out because of their staff. Even after coming out of the movie at 9 o'clock at night, I walked out to find the staff members Cleaning. That really says a lot about a place. We appreciate business businesses that have the same work ethic that we have and these guys definitely do! Terrible place. The Southglenn and Riverpoint theaters are plagued with people who show up late (mid-day mostly) do things they shouldn't and if you call a spade a spade, they'll kick you out. AMC is much better, better quality, better services, better theaters. read more

Great small theater. We went to Snooze for breakfast and then walked over to the theater. Very clean, Associates were very friendly and the seats were reclinable and comfortable. The movie was based on a true story of a courageous young man that was the youngest resistance fighter in Germany. Must see movie, especially by young people-freedom isn't free unless you fight for it! read more

6/16/26-Went for their $1 summer movie special which went up to $2 due to fees. Normally this place would have gotten 3 stars for an average score, but they lost points on not being ADA friendly. There were no handicap parking spots near the theater. It's not really the theater's fault, but this area in general was not designed to have handicap parking. A lot of space is lost to landscaping, which is pretty, but not accessible. The theater should bring this issue up to the property owners. The city should also look into why this area was built not to be accessible. What little parking there is also is mostly limited to 2 hours. You could use the parking garage, but that is a hike for people with disabilities. For fully able bodied people this place is OK, but if you're not fully able bodied there are other more accessible theaters in the Denver Metro Area. She bought tickets online for us and we headed there on the day. Parking in garage next to the theatre. Complimentary so that was nice. It's a two story theatre and there's a bar on the 2nd floor. Very interesting and modern style decor. We were there for a matinee so no bartender yet. Restrooms were clean. The theatre screening room we were in was split into two levels. Not connected. I guess if you bought the other seats you entered on the first floor. Only us and another patron so we selected different seats closer to the middle for better viewing. The seats do not recline and they smelled of old sweat which was yuck. And the tray next to me hadn't been cleaned out as I found some wrapping in the cup holder. Also yuck. But it was fine as we could change seats. Would have been bad if that was my seat tray. The sound was good and I could hear clearly. We had so much fun. Laughing and getting involved in the movie. When we left there was a bartender at the bar. We are going to come again. Will bring wet wipes next time but it's a pleasant experience anyways. read more

Clean and friendly! I have never been to this location before, but I've been to plenty of Regal theaters. This location offers street parking and a near by parking garage. I'm not sure if they validate or not. I did street parking because it was easy and convenient and I found a close spot. When you walk inside, they will scan your tickets immediately or you can go to the right and purchase tickets at the box office. Then inside the lobby is your typical concession stand. They weren't that busy so there was no weight and the staff was very friendly and quick . We made our way to the theater, my theater was one of the smaller ones. The seats are the large reclining seats. And each individual seat had a little tray that you can swivel over the chair if you need to. I thought that was fun and unique. Overall, it was just a Regal Theater, but it was nicely kept. I would consider going back to this location. read more

Nice movie theatre in the Southglenn Sjopping area. The unique thing about this location is that they separate the theatres in an upper and lower sections. The lower section is the standard viewing area and the upper is the "premium" seating area. The concession stand had fun little popcorn buckets shaped for the movie you are going to see such as a giant wave for Moana 2 and a sarcophagus for Nosferatu. This theatre is always one of my favs to go to, but one thing has been bugging me lately! In more recent years I've noticed that they've been lowering the volume on a lot of their movies. For reference, I'm only 20, so I know it's not my hearing going bad. It was especially bad when we watched Kpop Demon Hunters this past summer that was advertised as a sing-along... If I'm going to a sing along I want the movie to be so loud I can't even hear myself singing. It was soooo quiet & only a couple people sang, all of which you could hear over the characters when they weren't even being that loud. I understand that people complain sometimes about how loud movies are (or, more specifically, how they get super loud during action scenes and dead silent during dialogue) but I feel like it's just a part of the experience. read more

One of the cleanest and inviting Regal Cinemas in Denver. It used to be part of the Hollywood chain since signage is still in use. They have self service ticketing which took me a bit of time to use. They also have a live person to help out or sell the tickets. Most other Regals have you buy your ticket at the concession counter. This location had 2 floors for watching your movie. Some theaters have a balcony section of 2 rows, but most theaters are on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has the Sky Box. A very nice looking bar and lounge area with access to the balcony sections. There is a $1 upcharge for the 2nd floor seats. There is an elevator and nice restrooms. I saw the movie "The Man called Otto" with Tom Hanks. A sad but moving film. Wonderful cat in the movie had a starring role. read more

Also they say the seats are "sofa seats" (you are just next to one other person) but they're just normal seats built in to one another. Which worked great for me because I was with 2 other people. We paid for premium seating and we couldn't see over the railing in seats aa13 and aa12. The popcorn was cold, the hotdog buns were stale and the hotdog was barely hot. The kids in concession stand were more concerned about talking to each other than helping customers and the drinks at the bar were gross! Tonight during an LGBTQ+ movie the lights kept randomly going on and off during the movie. It happened over 20 times. It was very distracting. When discussing with the manager, instead of apologizing and saying they would look into it, they said they were "testing the emergency lights." This is hard to believe. If they were aware of the situation it should have been remedied. The light situation was someone intentionally turning them on and off. It should be looked into instead of denying the problem. saw a movie here. This place is nothing special. It is run down, has no reclining seats, and has no freestyle soda machine. And, do not buy the premium seating. It is worse than the general seating, and it is almost impossible to find. I almost missed my movie because I spent so Long trying to find the premium seating. It is ridiculous that they charge more for this than general. It is the worst seating. I'd never sit in premium seating ever. read more

We watched a movie here for the first time yesterday. The ticket taker was kind and friendly. The concession staff was busy yet friendly. My dislike was the skyboxes seating. I am 5'6" and seated in the last row. I could not see the bottom of the screen. Of course my movie had subtitles so I had to keep looking around a head in front of me. Although I've frequented SouthGlenn, I had yet to experience the theater, until this past weekend! ++ Reserve tickets online, or head to the box office for purchase! ++ Prices are reasonable and boast a matinee price before 12! ++ Recliner seats - and I mean, RECLINE! ++ Smaller, intimate theaters, where there isn't a bad seat in the house! ++ Popcorn, candy, snacks and boozy beverages are offered! ++ Tons of restaurants and shops nearby! ++ Plenty of parking! The only thing I found disappointing was the lack of monitoring the reserved seating. My friend and I had paid for assigned seating, to which kids were sitting in, when we arrived. When we asked them to move, they huffed and said "we like these seats!". After showing our tickets, they moved over a seat to make room for us. I just wished there was an attendant to show people to their reserved seats - as it was clear these kids didn't pay for them! Because the pro's outweigh the cons, i'll be back! read more

Been to two movies with teenagers in last month here (had not been here before- we're usually at amc highlands ranch). Both times the actual theaters were quiet, not packed, easy parking, polite and nice staff, accommodating. Problem is the cleanliness of entire place. It just needs to be closed for a day and EVERYTHING needs to be deep cleaned. Repair bathroom stall door locks, hooks in stalls for purses, etc. seriously go into every theater and sanitize the seats, clean the floors. And pay the high schoolers (who are doing this) extra wages AND train them on how to do it!! It's a nice little place, but let's step it up a notch! (Also, $7.78 for a MEDIUM slushee drink???? are you kidding me?!?!) come on- that's insane. read more

As far as movie theaters go, this is about as good as it gets. We sat in the balcony - loved the comfortable, roomy chairs and the reserved seats. We showed up two minutes before the movie started on a busy night, and it was nice to know that we'd all be seated together. Sure, it costs a few bucks extra to sit here - but it's worth it not to have some jackass kicking your seat the whole time. They have a decent bar upstairs, but they need to get that coffee machine working, too! read more

LOVE this place! Tuesdays are half-price, so regular seats are only $5 and premium seats (on the balcony with food/cocktail service) are only $7.50. Brews in the bar used to be only $1 a piece, but I believe this has changed. But, beverages at the bar here are much less expensive than at the restaurants in the area. So, its a good place to grab a cold one before a movie. The food isn't bad, but it isn't fab either. This is a great place for groups because you can buy your ticket, let your group know where you are sitting and to get their tickets individually near you. The bar area upstairs has plenty of comfy seating for hanging & chatting with your group before the film. The parking garage is free and right next to the theatre, fabulous. read more

My Dad really wanted to see a movie for Father's Day... it was the first movie that we had seen in a theater since COVID shut everything down. Because we had some kids that haven't yet been vaccinated and my Dad is elderly, we decided to do the "Private Watch Party" and see the original Jurassic Park. WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Zach (who I believe was the manager) said that this was his first private watch party. He printed my party's tickets and explained what to expect; they would start the movie when we were ready (with our concessions), there were no trailers (who cares), and someone would be in the theater in the beginning to make sure the sound and the picture were working. I would 100% recommend this theater and the private watch party to anyone that is wanting to get back to the movies!!! My Dad said it was one of the best Father's Days ever =) Thank you!!! read more

OK, maybe I am spoiled by my old neighborhood movie theaters (AMC Southlands & Movie Tavern), but to me Regal Southglenn is just a fine theater, but that is as far as I will go. Their regular seating is reserved comfortable recliners. Then they have a "skybox" where you can get reserved seating, sit super high and order beer at the bar - they charge you $5 extra bucks for this privilege!? I don't get it. The AMC and Southlands you get reserved, comfy recliners, food and booze and you don't pay extra, it is just included in the price. And at Movie Tavern they bring it all to your seat for some of the cheapest prices around. So, yes, it is a nice theater, but it could be better. They are very near the parking garage at Southglenn, so it is easy to find a spot and it will be covered to boot! Plus there are a ton of restaurants a stone's throw from it, which is always nice on date night. It is definitely an a-ok place! read more

My wife and I, essentially stopped going to movies for the past decade. Wait for the dvd, as the movie experience was expensive, floors were sticky, and environment was not desirable. We've now seen 5-6 movies in six months at SouthGlenn...not even great ones. The premier reserved seating lets us show up, and sit where we desire (we use Fandango). Food and drinks are reasonably priced. All-in-all a good priced outing and date. Probably way overpriced for a family, but just right for a couple looking for a good evening away from home. Although I still prefer this theater over AMC 24 Highlands Ranch currently (call me old, but I can't stand all the angsty preteens that litter the sidewalk and lobby)- the second time back, in a much more crowded movie, it became apparent to me that there was virtually no leg room for me. Granted, I'm 6'0 tall and a good portion of that is in my legs, but it seemed for most everyone, you had to stand up for someone to get past your seat- and with assigned seating... Well, you get the picture. Maybe there's more leg room in the premiere seating, but I'm still bitter about having to pay that much for a ticket. I just moved to Denver from Fort Collins where a movie ticket is about half the cost of one here. I'm also kinda disappointed that a medium popcorn and a water cost me over $10. Maybe I'll get over the culture shock, eventually... So yes, I'll keep going here simply because I like the crowd better and it's closer than the Landmark DTC (which is my FAVORITE theater) but I can't help but feel like the "premiere" seating is what the "normal" seating is at the other theaters. read more

I was very disappointed in my experience at this theatre. This was the only theatre with tickets still available for the movie and time we wanted, and no wonder. The previous movie in our theatre ran 15 minutes until our movie was scheduled to show. The crew still needed to clean the theatre before we were allowed in. On top of that the credits were cut off on the sides of the screen so I wonder how much of the film itself was cut off. In addition, the bathrooms were awful. There was barely any soap in the bathrooms, both sinks were clogged, there were no hooks or shelfs in the stalls to hang my coat or purse, and the toilet paper dispensers were broken. I was very let down by my experience. A lot of room for improvement. read more

Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 here last night and paid extra to sit in the balcony area which I figured would be premium seating since they charged an extra $5 to sit up there. This was not premium by any stretch of the imagination. They have old seats which are beaten up and don't recline. I figured if they put a balcony in there, the time the screen would be a big bigger or higher. This was not the case, the balcony seating is pretty much at the top of the screen so you are pretty much looking down which was bad because our view was partially blocked by the people's heads in front of us. Aside from the seating being poor the sound was also not adequate for this space. It sounded like all of the speakers were somewhere ahead of us which made the movie quiet from our area. No surround sound to get you into the movie. I basically paid $20 a ticket for an experience that felt like it should have cost $5. read more

Super busy on Friday night! We had premiere gift vouchers so could not book our seats online. I was a bit miffed that we had to pay $1.50 a ticket anyway and then an extra $5 each to sit upstairs on the balcony. The only thing the balcony seats get you is service and perhaps a better view - no recliners!! My hubby wanted to sit upstairs because the only other seats left were the front two rows. The seats were still nice but there was still a little rubbish in my cup holder and something on the floor that I stepped on but couldn't see what it was. You'd think for the extra money it'd be a little cleaner. The guy next to me ordered food and when the server came he had no choice but to half stand in front of me. Too many commercials. This movie theater has been good but it now delays the start of the previews after the scheduled start time by about 5 minutes with commercials and even includes one or two among the previews. It's really annoying and if it continues I'll be finding a new theater to go to. Regal and Cinemark theaters have this new arrangement. read more
