This particular movie theater is located in the Waterford Lakes Town Center shopping mall and is overall a good place to catch a movie. I have been coming here for years. A good plus is that there are a lot of restaurants around the theater, so you can grab a meal and a movie and not leave the shopping plaza. You even have a few dessert options there including a few ice cream places, a bakery and even a cookie place. I can't remember a bad experience here. read more

I may be a little biased as a local to the East Orlando area, but I've always loved Regal Waterford Lakes. It's in a great location surrounded by shopping and plenty of places to eat, so it's easy to make a full day out of it and end with a movie. The theater itself is a bit outdated in some of the standard rooms, but if you catch an IMAX or 4DX showing, it feels like a completely upgraded experience. I do wish the other auditoriums would get a refresh, but it doesn't take away from the overall experience. The staff has always been friendly, the concessions are solid, and having a full bar is a nice bonus. This theater definitely has a special place in my heart, and I'd love to see it get a full upgrade one day. read more

This is a great movie theater. It helps to join the Regal app club for free upgrades and food items. On Tuesdays it's half off popcorn if you are a part of this Regal rewards app. The popcorn is really fresh, & not too salty, with a great natural corn taste. Pepsi drink products. Their bar is very friendly with great happy hour specials from 3-6pm Monday~Thursday. It's real liquor & no cheap wine substitutions, a margarita has real tequila. Flavors are free such as a mango flavored syrup. If you ask, they might have a certain liquor on sale that's not on the menu. On Tuesdays movies are discounted. I finally came back to see their 4dx there. I honestly have to go to another 4dx to compare them. Having said that, this was a nice setup. Watched Tron on 4dx. I really wished it was available in 2d pic vs 3d glasses. Judging a projector wearing sunglasses is difficult. On this movie, the 3d effect was really good, im guessing because of the style of Tron. The projector preformed really well! If I was by myself. I would have asked what they were running. This screen was really bright for a movie theater and still great preference on dark scenes. Fully looked like HDR was turned on. I'm really impressed with this laser projector, it out preformed EVERY commercial laser projector I've ever seen! ..... for the time being until the 2026 models come out.. lol The seats all had good motion and fast. Id say some of the environmental stuff seemed lacking, like the room flashers were facing against the wall and didn't stand out unless you knew to look for them. The fog machine seemed a little underpowered for the room size or may they require two one for each side of the screen. Im just guessing here but when a Tron cycle crashed into the screen and a fog machine goes off, its pretty awesome no matter what! Can't wait to see another 4dx here! read more

I rarely go to see movies in the theater. I prefer to watch at home. Recently, however, I ventured to this location on a Sunday night with a friend. Easily parked behind the theater. Other areas were full. Purchased tickets online and grabbed a drink at the bar inside. Skipped getting food. Auditorium #10, where my selected movie was playing, turned out to be somewhat warm inside. You expect movie theaters to be chilly, which definitely wasn't the case. It was unpleasant. More comfy chairs would also be an improvement. Someone next to meet had chicken tenders which smelled amazing, but I can't vouch for how they taste. My drink wasn't terrible. I'm in no hurry to return. Place could definitely benefit from an update/remodel. Epic Theaters at Lee Vista is much better. read more

This is go to movie theaters. Live five minutes away and have been here dozens of times to watch movies like Stitch, Twister, FNAF 2, Conjuring last rites, The monkey, etc. Not to mention have gotten IMAX , 4DX, etc. the service here very good the time I've visited it's been very clean. I will say the bathrooms are a hit or miss on the smell but for the most part aren't that dirty. Moving on The sound quality is great and so is the visual quality. The regular seats are honestly comfortable. And the 4DX seats are really fun. read more

Fun 4DX theater here! There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. I saw Superman in 4DX here and the Fantastic Four in 4DX here at this theater this month. I bought the movie tickets ahead of time on the Regal app so entry was easy. There always seems to be a long line at the concession stand but there are lots of options. We loved the popcorn butter dispenser station here. The Oviedo Regal theater doesn't have this. There is only 1 4DX theater here. I loved the 4DX movie seats moving, poking at me, misting me with water, fan breezes and fog. I will return here when there is another good action movie playing in 4DX. read more

Stopped by the Regal in Waterford Lakes to watch the latest Captain America movie. Overall, the experience was okay, but could be a lot better. The good: There is ample amount of parking near the movie theater especially since it's located within the Waterford Lakes Town Center. They show all of the latest movies with plenty of time slots that you can choose from, so it is convenient for your schedule to catch a movie at any time of the day. The bad: The seats could use a major update/renovation since it's not reclining seats, and could be cleaner. Overall, there are other movie theater options available in the area, and I would actively avoid this one for better seats especially if you need to sit through an entire movie in non-reclining seats. read more

Not my favorite theater in the Orlando area. While this one is huge and offers lots of auditoriums, and even the 4DX one, this one just needs a complete remodel. If you don't get one of the premium formats, the seats are so tight and close together. There is no room for anything. They need to really remodel and they could fit in recliners, they have the space. Doing this would make this theater a go to in the area. This was a terrible experience. A staff member allowed a sixth grader that is known into the theater without issue, yet my friends and I were singled out and asked for IDs. When we politely asked why we were being checked while several younger-looking people were allowed in, she couldn't provide a clear explanation and was extremely unhelpful. To make matters worse, I was initially allowed into the theater. After stepping out briefly to meet my friends, I was suddenly denied re-entry by the same employee with no reasonable explanation. The entire situation felt inconsistent and unfair. Overall, the customer service was disappointing, the policies seemed to be enforced selectively, and the staff handled the situation poorly. This experience left a very negative impression, and I would not recommend this location based on how we were treated. finally, my other friends have seen the movie before and have had no problem getting in. With respect to showtime, the movie was scheduled to show at 12:15 pm. We sat down at about five til 12. The movie didn't start until 12:40. NON-STOP COMMERCIALS and previews. Literally dozens of commercials. I don't appreciate paying so much for a ticket and have to sit through so many commercials. Show time is show time! Get it right. The location in the shopping plaza is a plus. The popcorn is also usually good (not always though - very inconsistent). The problems are pretty glaring though - the ticket kiosks are unmanned, and I routinely do not get my loyalty points for purchases. It is VERY expensive compared to other local theaters. It does not have reclining seats. The seats they do have are very uncomfortable after 2 hours and there is not much legroom for my 6'4" husband. It's also freezing in there. read more

The Waterford location of Regal movie theater is in the Waterford Lakes mall surrounded by many places to eat and plenty of parking. Getting our tickets was easy although I have to say that the interaction with the Regal app was not super intuitive. They have a "kids combo" including popcorn, gummies and a small soda that is convenient and of a good kid size. The temp was good (on the cool side which is good for Orlando) and sound was good. IMO all seats are good: I don't think you can get someone in front of you that would block you. During the summer they have $1 movies for kids at 11am Tuesdays and Wednesdays. read more

There are only a few 4DX theaters in Florida for regal cinema. In fact only 19 states have any at all with most states only boasting ONE theater for the entire state. We are fortunate to have one at Waterford Lakes! Buying tickets was easy at the kiosk and we received our 3D glasses on the way in. The 4DX experience was amazing. 3D movie and seats that were comfortable even for my thick thighs. We went to see Wicked. The wind and the water hit us in the face in reality. The smell of poppies and roses filled the theater as well when they were on screen. And our seats danced to every musical number and broom ride. Even sensory elements tickled our feet and when those monkeys got their winds we felt it in the back of our seats. Incredible experience that I cannot recommend highly enough. I can't wait to take my boys to see Sonic 3 as they have no idea what kind of a ride they are in for. We picked a bottled water for a drink and stayed away from any popcorn or drinks with lids because we just didn't know what to expect in there but you could get it bounced up and down with unexpected motion. All in all it was fabulous. Go see a 4DX the second you find a movie that you even remotely want to see. Worth every penny! read more

Went to see a movie here, as it was released awhile ago this was the only theater playing it. Not my typical choice in theaters. Digital ticket, what was strange is no one even checked it on way in! We could have just free walked into movie! Ordered a hot dog from concession stand. I should have taken a picture. The saddest looking hot dog, dry and wrinkled, obvious it sat under a heat lamp all day. Being hungry I took two bites then threw it in the trash. Waste of 7 dollars. Staff seemed generally aloof, like they didn't enjoy being there. For the price of 2 movie tickets and a putrid hot dog? I'd skip here. On a positive note the movie was great. read more

Not a bad theater, but the seats are horrible for the price. They don't recline, and the armrests do not move up, so if you're here for date night, just understand that it's gonna be awkward trying to get close. We did have the entire theater to ourselves, but we still made sure to sit in our assigned seats, and the biggest plus is that this is the one theater where they don't over salt or butter the popcorn, so I didn't get sick at all! I'll probably only visit again if I run into a situation where this is the only location showing the movie I want to watch. Otherwise, I'll pass. read more

Admittedly this was the first time I've been to the movies in over 10 years. The Barbie movie got me to come back. However this review is about the movie theater so I'll get back on topic. I like that they now have a reservation system for the seats. I honestly wasn't sure if they double checked if you sat in the seat you selected. However, it seems like most people sat where they purchased. I sat in seat F 11 and had a good view of the screen. If you have someone sitting in front of you though there's a bigger chance that they will block the bottom of the screen for you. So I may recommend making sure the seats in front of you are empty if possible. The theater was clean I do wish that the armrest went up but that's a personal preference. I honestly can't believe how expensive the movie theater food prices are. I don't remember how expensive it was when I last went though. So maybe it's normal pricing. They also don't have people in the ticket box anymore. Which is definitely new to me. You can either purchase your tickets online or at the kiosks inside. If you're looking for all of the fancy bells and whistles some of these new theaters have. I would recommend going somewhere else. There weren't many employees there so I didn't interact with many. The guy at the front who scanned our tickets seemed friendly though. Everywhere seemed relatively clean including the bathrooms so I was happy. read more

I have to admit that I am a AMC fan, not bc they are better but just its closer to me. So I have the pass to go 3xs a week. The only Regal close is in Apopka and hasn't been good in the past. So I've been meeting a friend at a Regal 40min from my house. We have had very positive experiences there, but today topped them all. Odarius was the first employee I met. I explained that I was only 900 points from a free ticket and that 3,000 of this points would expire before I came back. I asked if I could buy my concessions first so I could get a free ticket. He was so nice and he allowed me to go to the stand. At the stand I met Connor who was so sweet. I have a gluten allergy and he was careful to find out what I could eat and prepare it meticulously. Now I had my points for the ticket and my receipt showed the points, but Conner and I tried to get the ticket but it would show the 0 cost but wouldn't print ticket. What could have been a very exasperating experience was quickly fixed by my third and final employee to meet that day, a manager named Emily. She was able to fix everything and I was able to use my points. Although the tech was frustrating the Regal employees treated me like family and made my long drive worth it. read more

This is my go-to Regal in the area. The employees here are cool and the bartender or entrance person would be dressed up which is fun. In this case, the bartender was in Ken's cowboy outfit for the Barbie premiere. Knocking off a star due to the sometimes very long wait for concessions (not to mention the usual theatre price for anything in there). Also because sometimes a little into the movie it feels like they cut off the air conditioning and it get's a bit humid depending on how many people are in the showing room. The bathrooms are generally clean though more than once there's no paper. Overall, your average big name theatre. The screens are great and there's plenty of different viewing experiences. Yeah.. this place ain't it. Came here a total of two times. One for a movie premiere, so no real bad experience per say, but building inside and out was definitely old. Like, even the defunct fashion square mall has a barely operating movie theater that at least looks RETRO - they embrace the age and design it well. Regal at Waterford on the other hand just seems dingy - dark, desolate, depressing. The second time I came here was for the Oppenheimer premiere on the 70mm - surprisingly one of the few places that offered this specific type of visual. Their screen was torn and was extremely distracting from what was supposed to be an amazing visual film, and the seats were really uncomfortable for such a freaking long movie. I also heard other people state the screen actually broke the week after I went. I'll probably continue to come here for screenings (since I don't have a choice in venue) but I'll definitely choose another theater for any special viewings. read more

The seats and the interior needs renovations and upgrades like years ago and they still refuse to make updates. Do you like movies about Gladiators? Ever since that awesome pilot asked me that question when I toured the cockpit as a young boy, I loved going to the movies. This is the closest movie theater to our house and it's pretty good. I will say I've been to the Epic theater by the airport and I do like that one better. This is sufficient though and I have yet to experience the 4D, just a few 40's back in the day. Prior to seeing "The Black Phone", the last movie we saw at a theater was "Dr. Sleep", so it's been a while. In a post-covid world (yeah, I said it), it seems pretty much business as usual with the only difference being the food staff was wearing masks, which honestly, I wish they would have done before covid. Food prices are still pretty high with "Small" items being like a dollar or two cheaper than the "Large" items, so you end up with 96 ounces of popcorn that you have to make 6 trips to the butter machine just to keep it all soggy AF. The large popcorn wasn't bad at $10, but a large drink was ridiculous at $7. Crazy but that's the world we live in. "Butter" is free though... go figure. The thing I don't like is you can't pause the movie to pee or to ask "What did that person just say?" and have someone explain why you're so lost. But it's definitely a different experience than watching at home (unless you have a sick home theater setup, which we most definitely do not). It's nice to hear other people's reactions and all jump in fear in unison when a super duper scary part happens, especially with the loudness of the movie speakers. Unless people can't control their gas, then it's not so great. People can still be annoying but that's no fault of the theater. They do have an unlimited pass for 21 bucks a month which basically means if you go to 2 movies a month, you're making out (money wise, not making out, making out, although you may if the movie ends up being terrible... like "Popeye" with Robin Williams or if there was a movie about Burger King fries). I'm debating checking it out just to get out a bit more and see movies again while they're new as I forget about them once they hit HBO or Netflix. Life was easier when Iggle Video and Blockbuster existed. Or was it? Surely, I will be back. It's a big building where people go to be entertained for a few hours. First time back at the movie theatre since the start of the pandemic and I'm pleased to report such a great experience here :) Parking was pretty easy, not because there's a whole lot of parking but we went for a matinee so there wasn't as big of a crowd. The staff were all friendly and funny, both when checking tickets and at the concession stand. The popcorn was good and the Icee was also super tasty. My only mini qualm was that the straw for the Icee is made out of paper and while I really respect and appreciate them not using plastic straws, the straws get pretty soggy and difficult to drink out of after a little while. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal to me because of how much I appreciate the effort to be sustainable, so I'll just bring my own reusable straws next time :) The sound and picture quality was also pretty good (and tbh I don't think I'm in any place to be judgy since we were watching Sonic 2*). Tickets and concessions are pretty pricey, so my biggest tip for people is to create a Regal rewards account and go on Tuesdays. I don't know if many people know, but Regal reward members get $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays and 50% off concessions - which is a great deal for movies nowadays and brings it down to an affordable cost. *P.S. This technically doesn't affect my review since this is a theatre review not a movie review, but Sonic 2 was pretty good (?!) and a fun movie to watch. 10/10 will be back for Sonic 3. read more

This theater is in need of an upgrade (i.e. no reclining seats) but because they make so much money off college students and families in the area, I don't think they ever will. We have about a month now in Florida from NY & have been trying to find our new movie theater and we can say we have found it, it's close to home and I actually do like the fact that it looks old school inside pretty cool. Wasn't expecting that since we come from up north it's a little bit different, the fact that they had a bar was amazing ! Exactly what we were looking for and that we could bring our drinks inside the theater was another plus. The only down side was the food, we ordered two hot dogs and the bread was so hard I didn't even want to eat it honestly. Everything else I would say isn't bad the IMAX theater was great - seats unfortunately aren't recliners wish they would be it would be nicer to relax and enjoy. Other than that I would say we would return just because it has the bar and it is clean and big. read more

Today was taking my son and I , to go see a 4DX movie for the first time and we go to look for our seats and found a roach on our seats and freaked out of course so we took a picture just in case they didn't believe me. Went to the supervisor and told him about it he said sorry and ask me if I still wanted to see the movie or get a refund. To be honest was going to leave but we asked him to switch our seats further away so we did and went back to go find our seats again and found not 1 or 2 but found 3 more roaches on the chair next to us and that was it went straight back to get my refund and left the place upset because we were really wanting to see the movie in 4DX but definitely horrible experience because we had our popcorn and drink didn't go back to get a refund for that but the second time I went to supervisor told me that they were having issues with that roach thing so was kinda upset that he didn't tell me that the first time I went to him so yea not cool. read more
