Despite my concerns, no protective shield was used, and the laser was passed directly over my eyebrows. Nine months later, I am still dealing with the effects and regret having this procedure done. While some hair growth has returned, one eyebrow still has noticeable patchy areas that have not fully recovered. Before this treatment, I never needed to fill in my eyebrows, but now I have to use an eyebrow pencil every day to cover the sparse spots. This experience has been incredibly upsetting and has had a lasting impact on me. My eyebrows were one of my favorite features, and it has been incredibly upsetting not knowing if they will fully recover. Had my concerns been taken seriously and proper precautions been used, this could have been avoided.

She then says "you need 43 units to fix that" (meaning my whole face because she wasn't focused on any particular area at the time) I was so taken back that she said "to fix that" I said um excuse me? I then continued on, to give her the benefit of the doubt, and let her know it sounded like a lot since I am fairly young (34) and have never received more than 20 total units at a given time with very great results! She literally said "go back there then, because that's a miracle"!! Who says that to a customer and when they own they own salon!?? I should have left after her first unprofessional comment. How ignorant do you have to be to represent your own salon this way? I have been a client at Rinnova Skin and Body Center for years for various services, but I will not…read morebe returning due to my experience with hormone replacement therapy under Dr. Rastegar. I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here.

A while back, I had tried to get appts for a treatment, but was forced to late cancel twice due to me contracting covid and then my elementary aged daughter contracting covid, once I had a cold sore and they asked me not to come in, and once because I am a displaced elementary teacher and was asked to teach last minute. As a displaced teacher, it is crucial to be available so they will call you again in the future. Rinnova charged me for these late cancellations, which was okay. I understood they were not able to fill that slot regardless of what had gone awry for me. It was a short string of bad luck when I've never had issues with coming to my appts there in the past. For my last appt, they told me it would be no problem to reschedule but that if I canceled one more time then they would not be able to book me in the future. I of course understood this to be the agreement and so I accepted the substitute teaching job for the day and rescheduled, and honored our agreement. Everything seemed fine. I just tried to schedule the same procedure a year later. I intentionally waited until summer so that any substitute teaching assignments would not conflict. After booking my appt, Rinnova called me to say I am not welcome at their business any longer, despite having come to the last appt. It is so disappointing to see a business not be understanding about two conflicts due to covid and the plight of a displaced educator. I honored our verbal agreement which they proposed, and they retracted it a year later; and over the phone, made me feel embarrassed and shamed for it.

She made me feel so comfortable I ended up doing the procedure! It was quick, minimal pain, and I am so happy with the results! My take on all parts of this business is below. Procedures: Frown Lines - I have botox to correct my frown lines around my eyebrows. While the frown lines weren't terrible to begin with, this is a preventative measure to make sure they don't worsen over time. Pain is like a 2/10 for me and there were no scars. The effects started around day three. It was weird not being able to make my "mad" face anymore. Added benefits aside from how it looks are I'm not squinting at my computer screen, my headaches have been reduced to minimal pain or nothing, and I truly believe my mood has improved because of it. I genuinely feel happier since doing this. Lip Flip - My top lip would curl under leaving a line whenever I would smile. It has been something I've been very self conscious of and originally thought I wanted a lip filler to help correct it. Meadow gave me more information about the lip flip and we decided to try that to start out instead of the lip fillers. The pain was a little more than the forehead since there are more nerves in my upper lip but they kindly put numbing gel on before hand to reduce the discomfort. Minimal bleeding but the results ended up being better than I expected. The lip flip has softened my smile preventing my lip from coming up so high it make my lip curl and now it sits beautifully above my teeth and you can see the pink of my top lip! I'm extremely happy with it and it has improved my confidence to smile in my pictures again. Overall Experience was amazing. From the people who work here, the ease of booking appointments, and help people like me feel good about themselves, I am so glad I was recommended this place. I loved Liina and was disappointed when she left, however, Karen has been just as great. When Dr. Z sold the business I was not surprised as he was more into the treatment and not day to day business end of Aesthetic Solutions. For the first 6 months under the new owner, Lance, the changes were mainly cosmetic - new front area, discussions of standardizing the dress code to scrubs and changing some product lines. I was in sticker shock on my last two visits. My injectible, which was anywhere between $130 - $150 over the last 5 years not was $190 for the same amount - an increase of 26%. My laser touch up went from $35 to $50 - an increase of 30%! The prices are now much higher than other places with fewer specials being run. The "fun" atmosphere is also gone - the front office staff is completely different and not as friendly and the providers I have seen since the change do not seem as happy and it shows in their demenanor during services and even just chatting while checking out. I appreciate Lance is more approaching this as a business, which is needed. However, double digit increases in services is not something I was prepared to pay when there was no notice of the price changes. A few dollars, fine. But I budgeted based on what I previously paid and actually asked, both time, for a breakdown given how much more everything is. Once my injectible card expires I will not be returning and will be finding a new laser clinic in the immediate future.
