BED BUGS! Rented Room 220 on Friday 717/2026. Pulled back the cover and top sheet to find a small bug crawling in the sheets. This was not a fly, flea, spider or mosquito. The front desk did not believe me. Denied there were bed bugs and would not refund my money for the evening because I used the shower. Ended up at the Indian casino in town (nice and clean) and then the Skylark Inn for the rest of my stay (aslo nice and clean). read more

This is not a place for a family to stay. Patched walls in the room, bath tub was chipping and we had to wear slippers in the tub. Bathroom floors were dirty. You can hear people in the other room making all sorts of "noise". Light didn't work in the sink area. Also, the tv was not working. So outdated, i wanted to find another place, but unfortunately, we were tired. I would never go here again. Don't stay here, you will regret it. read more

Pretty sure room next door is an extended stay occupant who is tweaking on meth. I saw the guy hanging in the parking lot (pretty shady) His tv was on super loud into the wee hours of the morning and there is a rolled up towel at the bottom of the door that joins the rooms (I did not put it there). Also a very peculiar smell (not overpowering hotel deodorizer, but maybe whatever that towel at the bottom of the door was meant to keep out) The room itself is noisy besides my tweaker neighbor I heard every water pipe every a/c unit, and every person walking on the floor above and doors opening and closing. Everything the previous reviewer is correct. Stained carpets, upholstery on chairs, and uncomfortable beds. VERY GHETTO. Pros: the a/c is very cold and the view of the lake is nice. I was in Lakeport off and on for the last three weeks for work and stayed at this motel. The rooms are very basic, but have everything you need and most importantly, are very clean. The family who run the Inn work hard and are very interested in your comfort. I gave four stars instead of five because, although all the rooms are non-smoking, they have ashtrays scattered around all the outdoor hallways inviting smokers to stand just outside their room and smoke. The smoke comes into your room through the air conditioner or the window. My suggestion is that they make an outdoor smoking area on the far side of the parking lot and not allow any smoking near the building. read more

It's nice enough. Very clean rooms, totally outdated but I have to say , the room is very clean, great bed. Neighbors look scary, lol. As you walk by, you walk fast, but nice views, I don't think we'd stay here again, but Staff is nice. Bathroom is updated for what it is. It needs shade by the pool as we didn't use it because of that. But all in all, it's ok to stay here. No problems. Having one more coffee pod would have been nice as we shared one. This place is, at best, is a bad motel 6. Way overpriced. I stayed 2 nights. I left the " please make up room" sign on the door at 9am. When I returned at 1 nothing had been done. I asked the owner if the room would be made up. His response? "You need something?" I said I'd like clean towels and a coffe packet. That's exactly what I got. I told him the TV had very bad reception. His response? "You just tap the back of the TV." The entire property felt very ghetto and the service was awful. Not worth more than $40.00 a night. This is a 3-4 Star Motel. It is not a Hotel. It IS clean & the staff is nice. The beds are super firm with down pillows & They do clean the rooms daily. There's a fridge, micro & coffee in the room (not great coffee). Only two small bath towels per room per night - super white & clean. The website says to mention the 10% discount, which flared Mona a bit as the price already includes the discount. Bob checked us in & was really pleasant. The pool literally is sparkling clean. Walking distance to everything & delicious breakfast across the street @ Renee's. read more

Our reservation for an ADA room was not available when we arrived on a 100* afternoon. We had used booking.com. Oh well, the whole place was occupied by work crews doing post-Fire rebuilding, so can't complain. It would've been a raucous stay. We repaired to Renee's Café across the street to regroup with a root beer float. Called the nearby Skylark, full, but referred us to Konocti Vista. Off we went to KV any enjoyed a modernized ADA (ish) room at a nearby new tribal casino. We got a kick out of KV, amused by its adaptation of ADA (no grab bars around toilet but a reasonably accessible tub). read more

Great find! My family and I stayed here over the weekend and liked it so much we stayed another night. Right on the lake with a great view and a dock to the water. Close to downtown and restaurants. The pool was very clean and refreshing, you can tell they take care of it well.The room was big enough for 4 and was cleaned daily. My favorite part was the owners. The staff are friendly enough but they made a big show of offering to put us in a quiet room then put us next to what were obviously long term guests who were disruptive every night. I could hear them smoking weed and arguing all night. The hotel is located near downtown but that's all I can recommend it for. It's about twenty years overdue for renovation and at $100 after taxes per night, I'd say it's well overpriced. read more

one star for 24hr check-in. and one more star for the view of the lake from the second floor. this place is ghetto. and for $100 a night? ummm... how about no? while checking in, the lady was rude and on her cell phone the entire time! who does that?! oh and they only provide you with one key! how'd that work if you had 4 people to a room? onsite parking is available. but man, these assholes need to learn how to park! the rooms are pretty small, as is the bathroom. the sink is also outside the bathroom. if you want to charge your phone, you'll have to do a bit of searching for outlets. there's a tube tv, mini fridge, and a microwave. as for the beds - they are extremely uncomfortable. the carpets are dirty and stained. word of advice... DO NOT walk barefoot! you've been warned! never again will I ever stay here. ps - if you HAVE to stay here and need a blowdryer or iron/ironing board, ask them for it because they're not provided in the room. read more

The guy seems nice enough till you realize you don't want to stay here. My brother got a room here and it was too loud and weird for him to sleep. He had to leave town, (this was after the fire as he was displaced)and after explaining to the owner they wouldn't refund his last room charge but only would give him half! This is an older motel that is clean and well maintained. It is right on the lake, with in walking distance of Historic Downtown Lakeport and a beautiful lakefront Park and boat launch. There are no lake views from the rooms. The pool and barbecue are lakefront with a fishing dock. I loved the Bullfrogs at night. The beds are comfortable, the AC works, The rooms are clean and updated, though a little on the small side. The Inn keepers are very kind and the price is fair. Nothing fancy here but the it is a fine economy motel. read more

We evacuated from our home due to the terrible Northern California fires in October 2017. This place is a ripoff! We had our dog and were charged $130.00 for one night. Later we learned their normal rate with a dog is only $79.00. Additionally the bathroom in our unit was filthly and the walls had not been cleaned in a very long time. People who operate a business and take advantage of others like they did in our time of need should be fined and sent to prison. read more

where do I begin?it is like something out of national lampoon vacation plus filth.but it doesnt matter what kind of review one gives, they wont change -they get their money from welfare and their clients cant leave no matter what! a beautiful view from my room -what I imagined would be a real treat; the balcony room: chairs and tables covered in bird feces.after 2 days they 'sort of' cleaned it and 'sort of' covered chairs with towels.as per their own admission it needed to be cleaned every day -nada.i had paid in cash for 5 days to get a discount, less than senior discount I was due anyway : over $130 per day!they are very dramatic in protests at every demand or protest, aimed at getting one to give up. I was up in Lakeport to get auto body work done.i needed to stay a week.then fire broke out and I needed to stay longer as our neighborhood in Santa Rosa was under evacuation orders.but I was told that my reservation for a week was no longer valid and would have to leave as fire dept had sequestered whole building.(clearly not.)so I had no car . now with fire threatening my home,i must stay up here.i got a room for 2 nights at skylark resort.already better -ice machine not locked like here, kind of traumatizing actually in 3 digit heat.i see people being handed large bundles of large towels! long story short, if you want best view in Lakeport from your bed, bring heavy duty cleaning supplies, insecticide,towels and a coffee maker!(oh and yes...ice...) read more

They decided to fix the little leak on a day we were there and told us to be out at 11 am for a couple hours and it turned out being six hours and still the worker was working banging. We are pretty sure we were the only non-residents staying at the motel. We were stared down by the guy next door(as we were leaving) who had his sunglasses on at 9:30pm. Then we were awakened early Saturday 6:30am to loud music and him singing at the top of his lungs. Not enjoyable at all. We did not feel safe there and even though the owner refused to give us a refund we did not stay the second night as planned.
