High Desert Pet Cremation - The paw print moments and a fur clipping of our beautiful and sweet yorkie poo Lucy.

That day we were heart broken and I knew we would want to keep our little girl with us. So, off to yelp to look for an answer. Our girl was only given 2 months to live, 3 years ago due to a severely enlarged heart that she was born with. Although we knew her days with us were numbered, we didn't have a plan... we just knew we would cremate her. I called here and got pricing and a general idea and we brought Lucy in. They have a "family room" as I call it and I placed Lucy in there to say our last goodbyes to our sweet angel. When we were getting the arrangements, I wanted my mom and me to have a moment so we did the paw prints and a clipping of her hair. The paw prints were perfect and they picked the cutest blend of fur at her ears where she had a beautiful blend of her red and black. Our sweet little girl came back home a week or so later, I can't remember exactly, but it was quicker than a human cremation. All in all, even though we were heartbroken over losing our baby girl, we were thankful places like this exist to give a dignified end to a perfect baby. Thank you. I think all together it was less than $300 for everything including all the mementos we requested. I dread the day we loose another fur baby, but when that day comes back to haunt us, we will come back here. Again, if you have been led to this, I am sorry for your loss, but you are in excellent hands if you choose to cremate your baby here. They were very respectful and compassionate.

I've never had a senior dog nor experienced any of the heart wrenching things that come with that and EVERYONE at the clinic is so patient with me and all my nagging, annoying questions. I feel so supported and cared for with every turn of the page we are experiencing and I could not be more grateful. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Jarvis to anyone looking for veterinary services.

What? So, no one is allowed to go to this vet if they have previously seen another vet? Then she tells me to go to some guy in Phoenix who does do "second opinions". Excuse me, GO TO PHOENIX?? So I'm supposed to drive FOUR HOURS round trip to a filthy CITY because my cat was seen at another vet???? She treated me like I was the last thing she wanted to deal with and like the last thing they want is new clients. I used to go there years ago, but something changed. They are rude, unhelpful, condescending, ridiculous, and they'll just leave you baffled. As far as I'm concerned they can go to hell. DO NOT trust this terrible business.

Highland Housecalls - My dog, Tali, after a quick 1 hour teeth cleaning!

They have been treating my family's animals for a long time now, but today they cleaned my dogs teeth for the first time. My little dog, Tali, has trauma from the last time she was at the vet (no fault of the other vets, but she was super sick, and so now she gets very anxious anytime we walk into a clinic). Highland house calls was patient with her, and I really felt they treated her as one of their own. But what truly made Highland Housecalls stand out for me was their nonjudgmental attitude. Sometimes, when you go into a walk-in veterinarians office, you can leave feeling very guilty- asking yourself "Why didn't I get her teeth cleaned sooner?" Or "How could I have missed that mole?" and even "Do they think I'm a bad pet parent? Am I a bad pet parent?". But Highland Housecalls had me asking none of those questions. They understood that we were doing our best juggling life and taking care of our pets, and that is important to me. I think if more veterinarians were as kind and nonjudgmental as Highland Housecalls, more people would feel comfortable taking their animals to the vet more often. 10/10 for everything they do!!!

People really appreciate when a veterinarian can come to their home when their pet has to be put to sleep it's comforting and calm and peaceful. Just two weeks ago my cat was ill and lethargic and I didn't know why he showed up to my place took care of my cat and she actually had an abscess on her leg that I didn't even see with two days of medication she was back to normal I'm so appreciative.

We were out of town on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, desperately calling multiple vet offices, but no one had same‑day availability before closing. When we found Canyon Pet Hospital, we hesitated because of the poor reviews, but they were the only nearby clinic able to help. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the large, clean, calming lobby. The staff at check‑in listened closely to our situation and immediately offered a stretcher to help bring Scout inside. The vet technicians gently took her to a room, gathered her history, and reviewed her long list of medications with care. The veterinarian, who had never met Scout before, took the time to understand her condition and her story. She was honest and compassionate in explaining that Scout's mobility was unlikely to improve and that continuing care would be extremely difficult for her. It was an impossible decision, but we knew it was time to let her go peacefully. The team treated Scout -- and us -- with dignity and kindness. They offered several options, moved us to a comfort room, and encouraged us to take all the time we needed. They provided treats for Scout, privacy for our family, and a peaceful environment where we could lay with her until the very end. We are writing this review so others in a similar situation can feel confident choosing Canyon Pet Hospital. Their compassion made an unbearable moment just a little more bearable, and we are deeply grateful.

He needs bloodwork, X-rays, pathology, general anesthesia, radiology, it could have penetrated the chest wall, 4 hour hospital stay and too many other things to mention. We had to pay $219 after they did nothing except look at our dog. All that took an hour and half. This after driving over an hour. Once they gave our dog back to us, we drove 2 hours to Yavapai Animal Emergency in Prescott Valley. They examined him in about 10 minutes. Thoroughly explained what they would do. Give him a shot, clean and staple up cut and send him home. They were done 20 minutes later and we were on our way home. The cost was $680. When I told this awful place in Flagstaff that they should be ashamed of themselves, they told me "we offer the gold standard of care". What a joke. I WAS ALMOST PHYSICALLY ILL. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED FURRY FRIEND TO THIS PLACE. Two hours of driving to and from this place. $219 for absolutely NOTHING. Just for them to give us our dog back. They should return our money. And by the way, the Dr that came into the room for 1-2 minutes reeked of perfume so bad. If he had been in the room any longer, I would have had to get out my inhaler to breathe. Yuck.
