Simply amazing! The seven layer cookies are the best I have ever had! The canolis, apple pie, coconut pie, the bread, the rolls, EVERYTHING is always amazing! It's very hard to find sugar free cookies that taste good, but Regina's sugar free cookies are perfect! Last thanksgiving I ordered their coconut pie, I was blown away! Regina Bakery is no longer located directly on PPW - it's moved around the corner on to Prospect Avenue and occupies a much smaller space. This type of bakery is not my favorite - but I'm giving it three stars because it's a stalwart of the neighborhood and I'm sure that many people do like those butter cookies with all the colored sparkles on them, just not me. The bread can be decent, but it's sometimes a little stale. The cakes are very sweet, but I do like the chocolate eclairs and I really like the people who run the place. read more

Found this little spot because it's near my daughters school. Loved the cookies and cupcakes. Reminded me of a spot I used to visit growing up. But, then I ordered my daughters birthday cake from here. It was so sad looking. The handwriting was horrendous. I asked for a few different designs (pretty basic) and each one I was old the baker couldn't do. The frosting was good, but the cake tasted like cornbread. I love their cookies. All of the Italian cookies with sprinkles. The regular round one's and the one's that have the jelly in the middle that are like little delicious cookie sandwiches. I also love their rainbow cookies and their bread pudding. Their bread pudding is some of the best Ive ever had. It is not too sweet, always flavored to perfection and they give you nice big piece's. I cant really comment on the cakes. Its been a long time since Ive had one of their cakes so I dont really remember. But Ive been a customer for years as I only lived down the block from the bakey. after moving to brooklyn from pittsburgh and having a 7-layer cookie from Regina Bakery for the first time (though I'm Italian), I started my own quest to find the best 7-layer, rainbow, Italian flag, tri-colored (whatever you call them) cookie in NYC. THESE ARE THE BEST. I am done with my quest. They are fresh and the fruit layer doesn't overpower the awesome almond flavor. I will be stopping weekly (unless my cravings get the best of me) to get a dozen of these!! I ordered a strawberry shortcake for my wife's birthday, and since I wanted a 9" cake they said it would cost $4 extra to put strawberries around the bottom. Seems like the strawberries should come standard, since otherwise it's just shortcake right, but whatever ok it's her birthday. Then I pick up the cake and it only has three extra strawberries on it?? And then the lady gives me attitude when I try to talk about it. It also just wasn't very good--my wife loves cake, and she didn't even finish her piece. I also got some butter cookies that were fine but also super overpriced when she rang them up. On my way home this morning, I went in to grab a cup of coffee and a plain mini cannoli. As I walked down the street, I took a sip of my coffee and thought it was good. It was made exactly how I wanted it. Then, I took a bite of my cannoli. It was so beautiful tasting that I found myself weeping as I was eating it. So strange!
