Cookie- Lucia- Chocolate caramel shortbread. Best of the bunch
    Glenn C.

Side note: Was here apparently back in 2013 and reviewed it. I dislike the content of the old review so I'm removing the old one and updating here. Anyway, quaint place with nice people inside. I got a sampler of cookies. The prices are a tad high as they are essentially bite sized but they are good quality. I had the following- Lucia-Chocolate caramel shortbread layer bar Juliette-Hazelnut sandwich cookie with cinnamon chocolate ganache Penelope-Almond and apricot Lana-Chocolate sandwich with raspberry buttercream Favorite of the bunch was the Lucia as it was last time it seems. For being chocolate and caramel, it's pretty well balanced and not too overly sweet and the shortbread was excellent. The Juliette was OK though a tad sweet (could have used more hazelnut and less chocolate) but the cookie had good texture. The Penelope was fine though much more apricot than almond and the cookie was light. I wasn't a fan of the Lana as the raspberry buttercream was way too sweet and the sandwich was a bit soft. One was very good, one was good, one was fine, and one was pretty bad. Mid/low 3 though I wouldn't mind trying their cakes also.

Charming and cute sit down cafe in the neighborhood. They offer breakfast and lunch options and have a good selection of cookies and cupcakes. Cake slices are also offered with the flavor changing daily. Wish they would post more about daily selections. Cookies are tasty but kinda pricy. Sandwiches are good, nice place to sit down for lunch with a book.

Also noticed they host birthday parties! How cute is that? Definitely keeping that in mind for my 5 year-old's B-Day celebration!

Stopped by for my sister's birthday and I'm so glad I did! I usually go to the spot around the corner, but didn't even know this little gem was here. The place is super cute and cozy, and the cupcakes and lemon cake were so good, super moist and full of flavor. The person at the counter was really friendly too, greeted us with a big smile. Definitely coming back for more birthday treats!

Their tea cookies are always delicious. I didn't get any this time, but I did try their seasonal orange cardamom hot chocolate, which was one of the best flavored hot chocolates I've had.

Delicious cookies and great store concept, starting with making the best tea cookies! Nice comfortable ambiance. Friendly service. I wish I lived closer.

I've been to this place sooooooooo many times. I also believe I already left a super long review years ago and for some crazy reason it's no longer here....hmmm. Anywho, I've had the cookies ( the hazelnut is my fav), whoopie pies, & coffee. I'm lucky that this spot isn't near my house, because I would seriously go every day for a whoopie pie...sooooo good!

I would give you five stars but the pic would show why I didn't. We all absolutely love it here.

This is a very cute spot that I've been eyeing for YEARS and finally had a chance to stop by. Their set-up and seating is great and I love the little extra gift-y items they have to buy. However, I was floored by just how expensive this place is, for possibly the tiniest cookies I've ever seen. I didn't even want to buy any of the cookies because it just didn't seem worth the money. The attendee was helpful and gave suggestions, but he just kind of stood there and watched us while we tried to decide what to get, which made us a little uncomfortable. My friend and I ended up getting the orange olive oil cake slice, lemon bar, and vanilla gelato to split. I didn't get any orange flavor from the cake and thought it was generally dry and crumbly (granted it was later in the day so it had probably been out all day). The lemon bars were fine. The gelato was great, but a tiny portion. Overall, a cute spot but I just don't think the quality justified the absurd price point.

So I love One Girl Ccokies. I can not say enough good things. The treats are consistantly good. I find myself ordering 2-3 times a week. My coworkers also love it. The Tea cookies are perfect little bites. The biscuits...buttery pillowy goodness. The OGC whoopie pies are also pillowy chocolate clouds. The cupcakes...delish...LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

I give it five stars for it being a community type of business, it adds quality to the Cobble Hill area which is going thru a multitude of changes. I thought it funny that one Girl Cookies had a guy working the counter, I was looking for a girl/woman. Pleasant guy, service was quick and he was friendly. I tried the Whoopie cake/cookie, not bad I was truly impressed.

I adore this little bakery and coffee shop! Pre-covid, I used to work here with my laptop and nibble on their delicious tea cookies, enjoying a peaceful atmosphere with great music. For my baby shower, we ordered a cake here and it was absurdly delicious and beautiful...and just yesterday, we enjoyed a One Girl cake for our daughter's second birthday! Everyone commented on how amazing the cake looked and tasted. I'll definitely be back for all my dessert needs! :)

    Brown butter coconut vegan cookies
    Chelsea P.

I've gone here before , before I wasn't vegan and they had the best Whoopie pies and such good treats . When I saw they have vegan options I was so happy ! When I went I went in the afternoon so their vegan muffins was gone but they had brown butter coconut cookies and chocolate espresso cookies both vegan . The chocolate espresso I didn't enjoy it was very crumbly . So I didn't eat that one but the brown butter coconut one ?! IT WAS DELICIOUS !!!!! Down to the texture it had a crunchy exterior and soft chewy inside . You can taste that coconut but the brown butter taste was nutty and delicious . It also had a little sea salt on top which was really nice . I'll be back for sure for more of those cookies and I hope In the future that they have more vegan options :)

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.

There's a full menu of coffee beverage options to choose from and a pastry to pair it with. There are also a variety of decorative cupcakes to choose from as well. I instantly noticed the Knicks championship cupcakes when I walked in. The establishment is relatively small but you can tell that they get great business here. The staff members who I engaged with were pretty nice as well.

It really felt like it was delivered straight from the shop with no problems. The lotusella crepe was every biscoff lover's dream come true. The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I asked if there was any way to fix this, and right away, the hostess brought us to another table with a much better view of that magnificent manhattan skyline and river. Then the food. Omg the food. We each ordered our main, after which they bring out an enormous tray of all these lovely nibble salads, pickles, dips, and pita. I don't eat wheat, and haven't my entire life, so I usually don't say anything about it if it seems to me the place doesn't cater to that sort of restriction. The server noticed however, and offered sliced cucumbers for the dips. Such a lovely detail, brava. Did I mention how deeeeeeeelicious everything was? Hubby had the steak shishlika which was perfectly tender and charred at once. I had the chicken shishlika which was good, but not the wow of the steak. Each and every salad, dip, pickle etc was perfectly spiced, cooked, presented. The nuances were just right. Nothing too precious or sideways. Just honest, well built yummy food. And the fries. You MUST get the fries. We ordered the tahini ranch along with the tahini catsup. In my opinion, that wasn't necessary. But if you're a ranch lover, go for it. Then the dessert!
