I went to this branch to close an account and had previously sent them a POA. Nothing was in the…read moresystem. I scheduled an appointment and was kept waiting for 45 minutes. Then Dawn Fitzgerald never bothered to apologize for keeping me waiting. She then explained she had to manually input the POA so I couldn't do anything that day except that. She said she'd call and let me know when it was accepted and never bothered to call back. I don't what she did but the paperwork never went into the system so I had to go to NJ , a 5 hour trip one way and they had to input the POA so I couldn't do any business there that day. Such incompetence has caused so many headaches it's disgusting. The ppl at these branches need retraining ASAP. I will do business with this bank in any way shape or form. I'd give them 0 stars if that was allowable. Please if someone has an appointment be on time and stop inconveniencing the customer & at least make a half a#% apology. You could do better, shame on you!

I brought 2 witnesses with me who are in their mid 80's. Upon entering the main lobby area, an aggressive customer informed me that he was in front of me. I mentioned to him that I had an appointment - he became very aggressive with me. As soon as Desiree's door opened (she was with another client), this aggressive man ran into here office and slammed the door closed. Upon seeing this, a branch employee notified the manager who came over promptly to settle this man down. This obnoxious man continues to try to get in my face and the manager professionally told him that if he didn't leave, she would have to call the police. The staff was so NICE and kept apologizing for this horrible man's behavior. I wanted to share this story, as it could have ended quite differently without the calm, cool and professionalism of this office. THANK YOU Port Charlotte Branch!

I have banked with fifth third Bank for a number of years and every year I have became more and…read moremore discouraged by the lack of service at their branches. Most recent example is just yesterday. Pulled into 5/3 branch ,Port Charlotte Florida drive up window, in my $600,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan , and having approximately $1,500,000 in my account at that branch, I asked for a $5000 cash withdrawal. After several minutes I was informed that they didn't have $5000 in that branch they could only give me $2000. I said OK give me $2000. After a few minutes they said fine and once again I waited. At this point and after furnishing them with both a federal photo ID and my drivers license I was asked to verify who I was by giving her my Social Security number and my birthdate. Never have I been ask of a bank to furnish that information at a drive up window. In order to get the capital I needed I had to leave that branch and just make it to my Wells Fargo location to get the remaining $3000. Today I will drastically reduce or close my account at fifth third. Being the only individual have to drive up windows during that period of time it still took me over 20 minutes to collect my $2000. Find another bank.

We were customers at Trustco in Albany NY about 15 years ago and had a couple accounts with them…read more Due to a couple bad experiences with them we closed those accounts and went elsewhere. Fast forward and now in Venice Fl, as snowbirds, it seemed very convenient to open accounts with Trustco to have easy access to cash from both locations. We've had nothing but bad attitudes and NO access to any money, even after we see checks have cleared. The managers doesn't return calls and when my wife went in to speak to someone, they were incredibly rude and acted like she had no rights to the account even though we added her to the account the prior week. We showed them that in their own paperwork, we have rights to take a withdraw, but they won't even follow their own procedure and have basically taken our money hostage and have no apologetic attitude for our inconvenience. If you have another bank option..... Please for your own sake, consider anywhere but Trustco.....Venice or probably any of them
