We got delivery for the first time here and it was pretty good. We got shrimp in garlic sauce which tasted either overcooked or like they were already precooked and then cooked again in garlic sauce. The sauce was really good but the shrimp were tough. The half bbq ribs had really good flavor and were the right amount of ultra greasy and salty to hit the 'guilty food' spot. The half chicken was a bit dry. The steaks were good, little chewy but that's just the cut of meat. There was a ton of rice and beans, and a vinegary sauce. We liked the fried banana too. I was in the mood for some portuguese food and I was in the area, so I decided to stop by since the reviews were good. The have a parking lot attached, which is great. As others have mentioned, the decor is outdated, but that never matters to me as long as the place is clean and the food is good. I tried the picanha and ribs, and although the food was perfectly seasoned, it was well done and far from the medium-rare I requested. The portions are big, even for lunch. For $12, I got picanha, ribs, rice, fries, and salad. You really can't beat that. I also ordered a serradura and it tasted like it had been in the fridge for a while. Definitely not fresh and I couldn't even eat it because it was unappetizing. The employees were very nice, although they seemed to be a bit understaffed. Would I eat here again? I came here with my Boo Boo and her younger brother fro dinner this past weekend. We usually eat at La fortuna when we are nearby the hillside/union/Elizabeth area. We decided in this place because we want to get steak without paying $$$. The place is dated/old. The TVs are still in box form and hanging from the table. The high ceiling. The waitress' English is not that great. They can get by but don't expect them to be to explain specifics items. We ordered a whole a lot of food (see uploaded pics). Great brazilian food. I ordered the picanha with rice. It was cooked and seasoned pretty well. It's a small place so best for small gatherings. But if booked in advance they can serve a table for up to at least 10 people. Also had their caipirinha as a drink which was made well, not too sweet. I recently ordered a delivery from this restaurant. I got the mixed BBQ dish, which supposedly included chicken, sausage and top sirloin steak (i.e., picanha), which is the steak that gives the restaurant its name. I was very disappointed to learn, however, that the steak in my order was not top sirloin, but rather some much lower-quality cut. It was tough and very hard to cut with my knife. Not to mention that I ordered it medium rare, and got only well done pieces of meat. The rice was decent, and the one sausage was good. The "vinagrete" sauce was ok, but it consisted almost entirely of onions. The collard greens were well-prepared and flavorful. I will give them another shot, but I hope they start using actual "picanha" to at least make justice to their name. read more

The place is very ran down and but appears clean when you go in side . They have booths and tables set up for large and small parties. We ordered the special garlic shrimp and skirt steak the steak was over cooked , asked for medium rare and medium or higher . The plates were large portions that but not as cheap either 23 bucks each . If they were priced about 18 I would say that's cheap ! The food was good ! Not perfect or great ! I generally would give this place 4 stars because the food is good and reasonably priced but the last time I went there was on Mothers' Day The please and the service was absolutely horrible. This place is a diamond in the desert. It's not in a location you would think is known but should be because a lot of traffic passes but they're sign is not lighted so not seen. I came to eat with my family and we ordered the mixed BBQ platter and a flank steak, 2 simple orders. Well first off the service was horrible! We waited at least 20minutes or so to order our food and that's even after I went to the manager/ owner and asked to take our order because it seemed like he was the only one allowed to take orders. Then they forgot my flank steak, my family was almost done with their food by the time I got mine and when I did get it it was bloody and raw on the inside. It was just a horrible experience the manager had attitude and barely understood what he said. I have ordered from them before and was satisfied. However, yesterday was not the case. I placed a pretty large order which included picadinho. The minute I opened the tray and saw the picadinho, I was disapointed. The meat was a dull grey which is indicative of being under cooked. Well when I cut into it, it indeed was under cooked. The meat had a bunch of fat on it. It was the furthest thing from picadinho I have ever seen. Frankly, it was a disgrace to even put that kind of food out for customers. To top it off, it was for a birthday and had people over for dinner. I had a great experience there. We went on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet. Service was great, very quick to bring all food out and they were attentive to our needs. Best thing is it's BYOB and they offered a nice big carafe for water, so no waiting too long for water. As others have said, the picanha was awesome. My girlfriend got the beef ribs and chicken combo. The chicken was very dry and pretty flavorless. The beef ribs on the other hand were very good. I like the beef ribs salty and they hit the spot. Overall I'd go back again. For four people, all of those entrees, one app, and 3 desserts the bill was $85 which is unheard of.
