I beef rib and two port ribs.

Disappointed, I have ordered this same item several times and have never gotten two small ribs, it's usually a small and large rib or two large but never this for $15.

When my dad passed away in June 2023, we had family get together after the Wake at home. We placed a food order with Nunzio's. One of the items ordered were Pork Ribs. So good!! A month later...visited my dad's grave site. When we arrived home, my mom and I decided not to cook dinner. We remembered the delicious ribs from Nunzio's. So we ordered a full order. The ribs were so large. BBQ sauce and Buffalo Sauce were provided. Delicious, delightful!! So good!

    Whole chicken wings.

We've been going to Nunzio's for many years. In that time we have enjoyed dozens of delicious take out orders and friendly, fast service. Only one visit irritated me and thankfully, we have not seen that gentleman again. Our son, home from college, advised he had a craving. Happily, we know what that means. Ribs, chicken, skirt steak. Well prepared large portions of proteins accompanied by good fries, rice and veggies. Tried something new the other day. Whole chicken wings, see the picture, which take 45 minutes to prepare. They were delicious but I couldn't help thinking, as I was eating them, that they looked like frogs legs which skeeved me out. That's my problem, not yours. They were delicious but I'll stick with the whole chicken next time. For me, food needs to be visually appealing as well as delicious. My son's ribs were beautiful. None of these tiny hacked up bit and pieces you get in most places. And my wife's skirt steak was cooked rare as requested and if you know anything about skirt, you'll know it is a thinner cut which requires a watchful eye if cooking rare to medium rare. The cooks have their eye on the ball here. So, to our family, Nunzio's sits atop the heap of the countless Portuguese bbq joints out these. See you next time.

Been here a few times the chicken and ribs are good , the shrimp in garlic sauce taste like per vinegar with garlic TROUBLE! The fries are so soggy and not crisp ! Would advise to get the rice which was excellent . Their Spanish cooks and owner is a older Asian women . The place appears clean and lacks parking there are a few spots on the side of a he building. They have a ten dollar limit to uses your credit cards . Like I said was ok for the price . Nothing to brag about here !

If you're looking for a good steak and don't feel like getting dressed up, this is the place to come. The skirt steak here is huge and you have the option to order it with rice and fries. They cook it perfectly - medium rare was beautifully pink inside. My husband had the picadiño, which has a nice amount of pork and shrimp, and is served over a mound of rice. My mom had the steak burrito and it was huge. She was able to order the steak to be cooked to her liking, before it was rolled into a spinach tortilla with rice, beans, tomato, cheese, fresh salsa and lettuce. It also came with two fried plantains. Again, this rating is 100% for the food. The restaurant is super casual, but it definitely worth coming to for the food.

Food is good. Portion amount is ok, used to be larger when they first opened. Restaurant is small for a few people.

But I found Long Ave BBQ on a Yelp search and on a trip back on I-78, I took a detour through Hillside to pick up dinner. The place reminds me of all the hole-in-the-wall places in the Ironbound with stainless steel covering everything, a brick pit charcoal grill and a giant ventilation hood sucking all the smoke up through the chimney and the whole neighborhood smells like BBQ. One innovation I see is that they use a motorized grill basket system that's constantly turning a bunch of grill baskets with chicken & ribs sandwiched in them. After perusing the menu, I order the Parrillada Portuguesa, a huge family meal for 6 people, that'll last my little family of 3 for 3 days. The PP comes with grilled chicken breast, a half chicken, pork ribs & cross sliced beef short ribs (Korean LA Kalbi style). The slices of chicken breast are too dry and with not a lot of flavor, but the pork ribs have that Ironbound Portuguese charcoal flavor I miss so much (even though a few ribs were a little tough to chew). The BBQ half chicken is alright, but not as much flavor as Peruvian rotisserie style and the short ribs are not as good as Korean style. I think they should do whole beef ribs Southern style, low and slow or even a whole beef brisket would be great. The Parrillada comes with 2 side dishes that are not shy by any means. You get an aluminum tray filled with 1/2 french fries and 1/2 rice that will be enough for 3 meals also! Next time, I would come back just for a full rack of the pork ribs, but I hope that the pitmaster doesn't overcook it.

They had a wide variety of food, all ranging from beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and some vegetarian options. They had an extensive wine menu, and my boyfriend joyfully enjoyed a glass of wine. I got the brazilian fried chicken, which was extremely flavorful, and i was surprised there wasn't any breading on the chicken as typical fried chicken does. I much preferred the no-breading style, which I think is the Brazilian way. I would have preferred a boneless dish, as there were quite a few pieces with bones, and it was pretty oily at the bottom of the dish. It came with two very large sides, and totaled around $25. 100% would recommend this dish, but I do think at a lower price point, this could make do with just one side, instead of two, as the main dish was quite large enough to fill me up. My favorite part of this meal was the garlic butter bread that they provide for free. It comes out extremely fresh with lots of chopped up garlic, which is my favorite part of garlic bread. It was a great way to start the dinner off. The service was great and the waiters were extremely attentive. They regularly checked up on how we felt about the food and filled up our drinks. The restaurant was pretty empty while we were dining, but the space was laid out very nicely and the decor was beautiful. Would come again if it wasn't so far!

Unfortunately, the food was very subpar. I'm not sure what all the hype is about; the chicken even had feathers! Please wash your chicken completely--what a turn-off! As for the sides, the potato salad had an overwhelmingly strong mustard flavor. A little sugar could have balanced it out nicely. The green beans were good, but they really lacked flavor. Lastly, the cornbread was horrible--super dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. I couldn't finish dinner; that's how bad it was. I am so disappointed, especially since this was my first experience with this restaurant. ' My/our people' should know better than to serve this type of soul food.'
