Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Nate at the REI in Woodland Hills for helping me install a roof cargo box. He went above and beyond--super knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. It's rare these days to walk into a big-box store and feel like you're at your neighborhood shop, but that's exactly the vibe here. Nate made the whole process easy and stress-free, and you could tell he actually cared about making sure it was done right. Thanks again, Nate--and thanks REI for having real experts on staff who love what they do!

Their selection is subpar compared to other locations. I thought they would have a good variety considering the location itself is huge and is 2 floors, but nope. Their service is similar to their selection; they have barely any. I feel weird coming to this location so I shop here as little as possible. I either just order online or go to another location or store. Every time I've asked someone who works here to help me place an order or check availability they've guided me in the wrong direction. The most recent example being when I asked if they had a women's shoe I was looking for in stock and they said they do. When I checked, I noticed it was the W version of the shoe, but the sales associate kept saying that didn't exist despite it clearly stating so on the box. Anyways, long story short, I ended up order of the retailers website and got the correct shoe. The stars are mainly for how cool this location looks. It's nice looking, but that's about it.

Nice location. Clean and bright. This location has two stories so they have a good selection of items here as well. Getting ready for an overlanding trip, going to 5 states and needed some last minutes items. Everyone at the store was very nice and helpful. REI is one of those stores where the employees seem happy! Love it! Thanks to Mars for helping me get some gear and answering my questions. Thanks to Joseph for helping me out as well!

I love this REI! It's newer. It's clean. Parking is easy. They have preferred parking for REI customers. They seem better stocked than most other REI stores. Customer service is wonderful (as it is with most REI stores). Pricing is good esp when they have sales. And good Covid-19 measures were in place. They had disposable masks and hand sanitizer available in a few areas of the store. Although there are other REI stores closer to my home, I always find myself at this location because of product availability. During my most recent visit, my bf and I found Martin (at the register) to be extremely friendly and helpful.

Love coming to this REI! Always organized and stocked. I've been to several locations and this one is by far my favorite one. Came in last week to The Shop to get my bindings checked, Bill was so nice and took his time with my board, even gave me a few pointers while I waited lol Thanks for the great customer service guys!

Does anyone install roof racks on an auto with naked roof?

I think not. However, you should be able to find help identifying which rack to buy that suits your needs. Lastly, if you plan to use your rack more than once, I highly recommend that you take the time to learn how to install & remove it yourself!!

In times of COVID-19 and curbside pick-up, I should mention everything went smoothly.

Time is money and these people seem to not respect that. OPEN ON TIME! That's critical 101.

There was a time when Broadway looked like it was going to be the next big shopping destination:…read morehip stores were opening, followed by big-name retailers. There were even rumors of high-end luxury corporations like Chanel, LVMH, and Kering eyeing property. But then L.A. descended into madness -- first the homeless swept over Downtown's streets like a zombie horde, then two years of pandemic kabuki finished off any remaining remnants of the Downtown revival. Theory, COS, and Gap shuttered, while planned stores by Kiehl's and Incase soon found themselves canceled. A.P.C., Acne Studios, and Paul Smith have finally closed, and the clock is likely ticking on Aēsop, Mykita, and Gentle Monster. Into this bleak retail landscape, Adidas has actually opened a new store -- a flagship boutique for its Adidas Originals line at the corner of Broadway and Eighth. Adidas Originals is the retro-inspired streetwear line bearing the trefoil logo known from the 1970s; this is not the athletics line of performance sportswear. Well-known styles offered here include the Gazelle, Superstar, Samba, and Stan Smith. Clothing and accessories are also carried here, much of it trimmed in those unmistakable three stripes. One's reaction will likely depend on one's sportswear allegiances; I've been firmly on Team Adidas for decades, not much of a fan of their big competitor Nike (or their cross-town Dassler family rival, Puma). The store is stylish but not tacky. The sales associates are helpful but not too pushy. And there was a sale on certain styles, so I actually bought a new pair of shoes. They're going to have some sort of vault with rare, limited items only for "level four and higher" customers, whatever that means, but it's supposedly not up yet. Or at least that's what my level zero self was told. The one market segment that's still thriving in Downtown is sneakers, so it's nice to see the area get a cool new store while most everything else is bailing for the other side of La Cienega.
