I could not pull it hard enough to close it so I took it back n just to exchange it. As I walked in there were a couple of young male customers getting ready to cash out. The gentlemen sales person immediately told me they do not take back, exchange or refund merchandise. I hadn't said anything yet because he was waiting on these young men. I told him yes he would but take care of his customers first. Thus began a heated exchange between the two of us. Still he did this in front of the customers. He did finally finished with the customers and turned to me wanting to know what was wrong with the luggage. He perked the zipper back and forth and did get it to advance. However I was not able to do it. Finally he did call the owner and the owner relented and exchanged the piece and I appreciated that. What I did not appreciate was his exchange and rudeness in front of customers.

The sole employee was helpful navigating through the luggage but with a language barrier when inquired about the integrity of the zippers. I've learned quickly from purchasing from outlets that the bag is only as strong as its zipper, which has let me down a few times. The name of the business on the placard says Luggage Prime but the actual name is Luggage Outlet so not sure why the conflict. The store offered big luggage brands like Samsonite, American Tourister, Delsey and Travel Pro.

1-Star Review: Gabbiano Suitcase Failed Immediately - Luggage Outlet Won't Make It Right…read more I specifically chose to shop at Luggage Outlet, a local business, over a big chain to support small retailers. I purchased a Gabbiano suitcase marketed as "durable and dependable," but it completely failed after one trip. The shell cracked near the wheel, making it unstable and difficult to use. When I returned to Luggage Outlet within the 30-day window for a refund or exchange, the store refused, blaming airline handling instead of standing behind their product. A truly durable suitcase should withstand normal travel, and a trustworthy business should honor reasonable returns--especially for a defective item. I am extremely disappointed in both Gabbiano's poor quality and Luggage Outlet's lack of customer care. I wanted to support local, but this experience shows why many customers stick with major retailers. I would leave a 0 star review if I could. I will never shop at or recommend Luggage Outlet. Save your money and buy from a company that actually values its customers and sells quality merchandise.

I had one brand and only one brand in mind TravelPro so I did research on Amazon and I narrowed it down to the Crew Versapak Max. Amazon wanted $220, Macy's $480 and a local travel store wanted $250. On Google Shopping I was introduced to Luggageontheweb.com(Village Luggage) and I could not be happier. Not only did they charge $173 with free shipping and no taxes they have this Friendly lady who answers the phone and is happy to answer any questions and is very patient. When the order did not go through she was patient and then it finally came in and we confirmed that this bag would meet my needs. As this company Drop Ships from TravelPro as they have been dealing with them for 50 years and this business has been in business for longer than that I felt confident. What sold me is that they give a complimentary Leather Monogramed Luggage Tag with my initials. Not only did I save $30 I am getting better service and I highly recommend this business to anyone who needs luggage . Its truly a boutique and personalized business. I won't turn anywhere else. Ebags had other bags for more expensive and I do not want to purchase a bag from a department store as I am able to order my luggage at my own leisure. As I work in Tourism I know a good bag and my retired Flight Attendant friend swears by TravelPro and the kind Customer Service rep said that the Webmaster loves TravelPro and they get many sales for their bags so it brought me even more confidence. This TravelPro had every feature of my old Victorinox like a removable suitor and a similar size. Its also very light at 7.9 lbs and this bag has more features like the option to have a Battery Bank to charge my phone, Optional Travel Packing Cubes that you can zip in for $30, room or up to a 17" laptop and an included Toiletry Kit bag and a great handle. I will update this review once I get my suitcase!!!

NOTE: Employees and management suffer from ALCS syndrome. See next to last paragraph…read more This is not a review of their numerous offerings of overpriced luggage. It is based on two encounters, each for the same item. My initial experience with this store was calling them on the telephone. I googled for their number, 561-447-4315 - and phoned at 11:55 AM. The call went into voice mail. I did not leave a message. I called again, about an hour later, and the call again went into voice mail. I again did not leave a message. "Why not?", all my Yelp buddies may be asking, and the answer makes sense to me: The voice mail picked up, but there was no identifying information of what business I had reached. No recording such as "You have reached Bag 'n Baggage, we are helping others right now, please leave your name and number and we will..." So, it's my protocol not to leave my name and number randomly on answering units if I am not certain what number/person I have reached. I then checked YELP for their listing, wondering if I had, perhaps, reached an incorrect number. Nope, the number was as listed. I was planning on going to the Town Center Mall later in the day, and figured I would just stop by the store and see what's up. I arrived around 5 PM, and the store was empty, with two sales staff working at what appeared to be inventory management. Neither greeted us. I proactively inquired about the specific item I wanted - a DIGITAL LUGGAGE SCALE - and one of the staff showed me the various choices - if I recall, only two options. She explained which one she thought was better, and it was the one that I had in mind [its quite ultra uber] when I was considering my purchase, so I bought one of the two they had in stock. I then asked if their phone system was working, and showed her my iPhone, with the outgoing calls to her number earlier in the day, making sure I had dialed the correct number. She replied "oh yes, the phone is working, we were busy with inventory at that time, did you leave a message?", and I explained why I had not left one. She looked at me in an odd manner, so odd, that I snapped at her, and said "look, if I call what I believe to be a business and the business does not identify itself in its outgoing message, I will NOT leave a message". She still looked at me in an odd manner. BTW, this was Janeen T., the MANAGER. I finalized my purchase, and suggested to her that she consider adding an outgoing message to her phone system. And she said "I'll look into that." After I showed my friend Marsha my new cool digital electronic luggage scale, and asked her if she had a device to weigh her luggage, she said "no, can I use yours?", and I replied "no, the logistics on that would not work, I'll go buy you your own". I called the store on May 16, to ask them to put aside the one remaining device they had in stock, and no one answered the phone. And there was still no outgoing message. This time, I LEFT A MESSAGE, ASKING THAT THEY HOLD ASIDE THE LUGGAGE SCALE. I went to the store later that day, and was served by Jack. I asked him if he was there earlier, telling him what time I called, that the phone was not answered, and that I left a message. He said "oh, I must have been busy, and I haven't had time to check the phone for messages." [This store never looks real busy] Welcome to South Florida, where the poor level of customer service is pandemic. This establishment's staff and management suffer from ALCSS - Acute Lack of Common Sense Syndrome. It is a dangerous condition, be careful you do not catch this syndrome. As an aside, this ultra uber scale is a BALANZZA MINI DIGITAL LUGGAE SCALE, priced at $21.99. You can purchase it on Amazon.com for $15.32, and if you are a Prime Member, it ships free in 2 days. And Amazon's Customer service is awesome!

It was $750+ (which is a lot for me). But I figured it was a worthy lifetime investment. However, when the luggage set showed up, the cartons were opened and one of the suitcases was unzipped and expanded and gave the distinct impression that it had been opened before. For $750+, I expect a brand new product in a properly sealed carton (a perfectly reasonable expectation). I reached out to customer service and provided some requested pictures, just to have them dismiss it as "minor cosmetic damage" and suggest I just keep it. I know Travelpro's warranty is great but I should not have to wonder if I need to take advantage of it immediately upon delivery. It looks like they don't do exchanges but rather I have to return it and rebuy. They have kept silent on whether they will honor the original price I paid (I bought during their Memorial Day sale). UPDATE: They refuse to provide a discount code so that I am not screwed over by their poor quality control. What a terrible way to treat customers who spend their hard-earned money with Travelpro.
