I've been going to this consignment store since I was in college and they were in their old location. I really like this new location and I think that they have a great set up. Their items are always super cute and fashionable. The one thing is the old location would have more sales, I feel like and wider variety of clothes. Now it seems to be all higher end fashion, which is great and I'm sure that's what they were going for to begin with. I have come here a couple times to find beautiful dresses for weddings and I actually found one that I love this time for a wedding I have over the summer. The workers are always so kind. There was a big parking lot in the back filled with Bentley's, Mercedes, Porsche's, Maserati's... Beautiful high-end designer clothing; Oscar de Laurent, Ferragamo, Akris, Chanel, Fendi... there was a wall full of Lilly Pulitzer and cases with designer bags for thousands. Items were on racks based on their size. There were a lot of sales women and plenty of dressing room rooms. The store was very well organized with all of the items being in very good condition. I liked this consignment store as soon as I walked int their back door. There's plenty of parking behind the shop which makes it even more convenient. Items are easily located by type and size and color. The shop was quite busy when I entered, but I was greeted immediately. Later on, as I had a few dresses in my arms, a gal came up to me to take the clothing from me so I could try them on. I don't fit the usual "profile" of shoppers (being somewhat older and fatter) so I'm used to being pretty much on my own. I'm self-sufficient so it is not a problem. This was a welcome change. There is a back room with several curtained dressing areas. Each one has a mirror and chair. I even got some help with one of the dress zippers -- both on and off. Prices vary but are quite reasonable. Plus, they had a sale on certain colored price tags. The sale based on colors is posted with their respective discounts on a sign on the wall. I did find something I liked so I bought it. Check out was seamless. I'm already planning on coming back in the future. And may even find out about consigning some clothing here. read more

This was one of the recommended places to check out for consignment and vintage clothing when I was researching places to visit and check out during recent day trips to West Palm Beach area. It's located along South Dixie Highway, which is known for being Antique Row. It's across the street from Goodwill. Parking options include street parking and the lot behind the store. Keep in mind that unless you come during opening or a non-peak time, it may be difficult to find a parking spot in the lot as there are not a lot of spaces. When I visited the two days I was in Palm Beach area, the shop was packed with people - some looking for deals and others there because the shop was well known for their impressive stock of styles, brands, price points, and items. Despite the shop being busy, they had multiple gals working there that were happy to assist by holding a dressing room for you while you shopped or helping you retrieve a shoe mate for you to try or purchase. The racks are well labeled so you know what to find in the store - very organized despite the impressive amount of stock they have in that one shop. I tried on multiple items before walking away with a striped top with buttons down the side from Hermes and a cardigan by Chanel during both visits. The top was well priced for the brand and the cardigan was brand new with tags. In addition, I saw multiple brands and items there - prices varied based on condition and brand. Some items were tagged in different colors to call out discounts, which was nice. I noticed as well that the gals working there or some of the customers were very kind and either complimented other customers trying things on or offered friendly suggestions. I went back after a failed attempt to sell a few items to give the place another chance, this time as a shopper. First, I noticed they eye shoppers up and down to see how they are dressed etc. and they'll treat you accordingly based on how they assess you. If you don't meet their standards (or if you're not of a certain "aesthetic") they'll completely ignore you. If they like how you look, the fake nice tone comes out and they really push you to buy luxury items. I had never been so insisted upon to buy things in a regular store, but here they tried getting me to buy a Chanel item I was looking at. In general observation, the employees are not at all friendly toward most people, except for Margarita who is a gem and deserves a raise. The others are rather haughty as if they were Palm Beach royalty (news flash: they're just consignment retail workers). Selection: some high end things. Maybe some might be a good deal if you're lucky. Many average brand clothing but extremely overpriced. An Ann Taylor old dress should not be $40+. A J.Crew used item should not be more than $30-you can find better prices in the actual stores (I.e., new items) in their sales. I almost sold some items but thankfully after reading other reviews on that, I'm glad I didn't go through with it after all. Don't think I'll come back. Again, after reading reviews of sellers I feel it's a terrible way to shop pre-owned if people are getting scammed. read more

The owner thinks she is running a high class resale. Not. She behaves in an imperial manner, tons of rules all not worthy of her average merchandise. She talks a blue streak. The store has its share of clean, faded not gently worn merchandise. There are name brands that are priced too high for what they are. The other negative reviews are a clear warning sign. I wish I had checked with Yelp before I went. It would have saved me a lot of time. read more

I don't know how this place doesn't have five stars. This is my favorite place to shop in the whole wide world. There is always top-of-the-line stuff at a very good price. I've bought purses I've bought dresses and everything I've ever bought from there has held up. So many different items to choose from! High end and middle of the road, you need some time to dive in! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because some items have stains on them that should have been noticed before they were put out for customers. I love all the dresses and they are grouped by size and by color. I definitely love that part! They have shoes, dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, tops, cover ups, pant suits, jewelry and more! Beautiful purses and large bags! It is set up by price- high end and more middle of the road and clearance! Happy to shop here again! The parking is limited on the side so that is a bit of a challenge. But definitely worth the trip! read more

As a buyer GREAT place. As a consigner you are better off taking your items to Plato's closet. They will sell your expensive BRAND new items with tags on for NOTHING. For example: $1000 Vince pants NEVER worn I received $28. 2 pairs of cashmeres pants with tags on them $298 each. I received $30 $500 Vince sweater $16 $300 lemlem top new with tags $12. Be prepared to be gaslighted by the daughter and owner when they price your expensive items so low you'd think you are at goodwill. They cut checks in the first of the month that you can pick up in the store. I brought brand new designer clothing in with the tags still on it. They took all my garments in the office and closed the door ruffled through everything mixed together the clothing and gave excuses of what they wanted but didn't take to hide what they did take. They stole clothing from me. The minute they came out with what I brought in I felt there feels like so much is missing. I went there with 2 suitcases of clothing to sell. What they did was tie together by the arms two jackets And put all the items in between and said that wanted it but didn't take it to distract from what they did take. People are going there to sell there things. Some in difficult financial situations and hoping this is a business with integrity, honesty and truth. This is awful to do to people. The policy of doing business behind closed doors like this and your hoping they are a trustworthy business and treating others like this especially in a difficult financial situation is wrong. May Justice be served in this situation. It's a great shop , it's organized well great atmosphere but never allow them to take your things and close the door without u present. The welcoming process was not very welcoming, but more like judging upon arrival to the store. I was told that only 4 out of 27 items would be accepted because they were not "new enough". And they can't take the 4 accepted items because there is a minimum of 15. Ironically, they failed to pick the 2 pieces of clothing that were new and gifts from nice stores that I have never worn before because they just didn't fit, as well as 2 other expensive pieces that I've only wore once. I recently visited City Girl, and I've got to say, I am pretty disappointed... I've shopped and consigned with them since they were in their awesome house location and when they used to take children's clothes too... It feels like their main focus these days is to cater to more wealthy clientele, since much of the inventory is luxury, and if it's not, it's higher end named brands, all of the same color palette and style. The audience they are catering to has clearly changed in recent years. They should change the name to "Palm Beach Girl". And while perhaps new customers are happy, it is a letdown to someone like me, as a long-standing customer and someone who really appreciated what was once individuality in their business and the welcoming, family-friendly environment they once had. Additionally, the last time I tried to consign, my items were returned to me sloppily and without a word. While I was waiting for my items to be returned to me, I looked at the shoes, which are in the same vicinity as where they go through items, and I over heard them talking about certain clients saying things like "Oh well wait until she comes back from Europe!" or "they always bring us the good stuff". It put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I will give them any more business and I certainly won't try to consign with them again as it is clearly not even appreciated from them. BEWARE !!! I was referred to city girls consignment in west palm beach by someone who was explaining to me that this was a place you could bring your day to day clothes as well as your luxury items. I said perfect! Because I had already set aside 4-5 luxury items to bring to the real real to sell but I also have literally like 60 pieces of my day to day clothes that are too nice for Plato's closet but not nice enough to all be approved for the real real. So I was like perfect, I'll bring in the luxury items first and then bring in the 60 pieces of the rest of the stuff when I make sure I bring the season appropriate styles for this month. So I go there with my luxury items and I walk in during the times they said they take people for consignment which is only Tuesdays and Wednesdays 11am-2pm. So I rush to get there at the appropriate day and time and when they see me they're like: 'Oh is it your first time consigning? Because you need to bring in atleast 15 items to make an account here'. So automatically in my mind I'm like okay cool I'll just have to bring everything at the same time- right when that thought crosses my mind, the sales associate saw the Gucci logo on one of my bags, her eyes got big and she was like 'Oh , wait don't leave wait right here' then someone came and told me that because my items were luxury they could start an account right away. When I was asking about commissions they said the same thing their website said which was that they kept competitive with The Real Real. I thought okay perfect cause that's where I would have taken these anyway and now I can bring the 60+ other items I have too. So because of that I ignored the suspect payment process which was super weird, so they only pay you at the first of the month of every month and how they notify you that they sold your items is.... Well they don't. You have to call them every first of every month to check. And if they sell your stuff, do they do direct deposit? No. No they don't. They only give you a paper check. Do they send the paper check to your address? No, no they don't. They give you a paper check which they hold at the store for you which you will only know is there if you call and ask if it's there. They don't call you. So A paper check you have to call every month to see if you got and if you did, guess what? They only hold the paper check for you at the store for a certain amount of time. Amazing right? So anyway, they sent me off and said they'd have an email in my inbox by the next day. Next day comes, nothing. A week passes, nothing. Two and three weeks pass and I'm getting concerned. So I call. I call for two days with no one answering the phone at all and then the third day someone finally picked up named Bella and when I asked her about my stuff she said -let me see and she mentioned one and only one of my items which was a Chanel and said that that was all she saw on the account. So I was like, I'm sorry what??? Then she said she doesn't have full access to the system anyway and that I'd have to call back again. So I keep calling. I email. I even had to revert to DMing them on Instagram. Then that day after DMing then and all that I finally get someone on the phone that says that all my items are indeed there I said okay cool as long as they're there. Then I finally get an email the next day (a month after they told me the email would come) with an overview of how much they are pricing the items. When I looked at it, I wrote back to make sure that the commission rate still stood and when I was doing so I realized there was a bag that was underpriced. By doing some 3 minute due diligence I found other sites selling the same bag (but those even had damage on it) for 2-3k more than they were selling the bag. So in the same email i ask to confirm the commission rate they promised I also sent those screenshots informing them that I'm sure they could charge more money for it. I send out the email and I get a reply basically telling me that 'the commission was only for people who brought in more than 15 items and bottom line I think you should just come pick up your stuff'. So I go pick my things up, which I had brought in designer dust bags. THEY RETURNED ALL MY ITEMS TO ME IN PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS. They stole my dust bags. read more

First, they have private off the street parking. Second, they have the best selection of designers in the Covid era. Third, I always find terrific items which include high end designers, a good curated shoe section and a side area of Lilly Pulitzer.
