My gripe is with the bathing suit selection for women, and surf attire in general. They don't carry any functional bikini tops! Everything is a triangle that rushes on the bottom that 1. Will move around in the water so you can be flashing everyone and 2. Will hurt your sternum if you're surfing for longer than 20 minutes. Anything with beads, ties, other lumpy textures in the front of bathing suits is painful when you're on your front paddling. Just saying. Everything looks like surf fashion but I was hoping for actual useful surf stuff. Not many powertops or shorties for when it gets a little chilly either :-/

They have a decent selection of clothing- I see they usually stick with the same brands- and over price them you can find the same brands online for cheaper than they sell in store 90% of the time- And when you do see stuff there they sell out of season bikinis from swimsuit brands for 50$ for a top and bottom that are on the actual websites for 25 a piece. They sell outdated swimsuits for full price. I have seen multiple times online shopping here with -kuhlani- maui- brands I can't get over the fact that their cameras look like they can see into the fitting rooms. This place should maybe be checked out bc of these cameras.. it made me so incredibly uncomfortable- The employees are always very nice and helpful. We had a…read moregreat time seeing turtles, fish, lots of old FL bald cypress trees and of course gators (some really cute baby ones too!) Ms. Amanda helped us on the phone and at the desk and was able to get us a tour today last minute as a day date! We loved it and can't wait to go back! I'm glad it wasn't too buggy. We didn't see alligators. Canoers, kayakers & boarders on the water said they saw gator(s), but we never did. So, I don't recommend renting bikes if you want to see gators. Many people visit the area and bring their own kayaks & body boards. Don't dress to impress. This is a true nature experience. 4 stars cuz bikes can be dirty, one lady had her chain fall off & we helped her & my husband's handlebars loosened up & had to start walking his bike. I guess the only way to get help on the trail is to call their rental center, so don't leave the area without asking how they can help & meet up in case your bike is not rideable. I rode back & had a worker take him a new bike, but I had to show him where he was. It was a nature experience! There is a waiver to sign before you rent. Maybe their fine print gives information about how to deal with problems on the trail? I didn't read it thoroughly, I thought it focused more on the late fee.

My 7 year old son has done this camp twice and has an amazing time. He learned to surf and they sent photos at the end of the week. Today was our first day of surf camp. I'm just going to be very frank. This business has some…read morestrong points but also some serious problems and I hope they're soon addressed. Pros: ~ the instructors show a clear passion for surfing and it's contagious ~ the staff quite obviously loves being around children ~ my daughter learned a lot today; more than I expected Cons: ~ no sense of (or system in place for detecting) dangerous weather conditions. While my phone was alerting me of multiple lightning strikes within a 5 mile radius, these guys had no clue! I'm ok with them just being watchful for lightning beyond 10 miles. But 4.1 miles - come on Aloha. Nature doesn't work for you. ~ seriously unprofessional attire. Seriously, do a bunch of young children need to see your bare jiggly asses? One staff member was wearing a distasteful thong on the beach. Use some basic common sense and show a morsel or respect in a children's camp setting. Can't believe i even have to say this. ~ inconsistent supervision. One child floated way out on a board before he was noticed, some kids were burying an instructor, some were wandering around, some were playing in the water, and others were on boards. There was no real system for knowing who's where/with whom and if a child walked away or were taken, I suspect a long time would pass before it would be noticed. No wrist bands, no head counts, no accountability. This is a low-security camp. Not sure it's a good idea in 2019. ~ low instructor to camper ration = bullies can run rampant. There's always that one kid. And he's there now. Much bigger than the rest, singing inappropriate songs, dumping sand on kids' heads, dragging kids into the water that clearly don't want to be dragged, saying vile things. But he's mostly ignored and he just does whatever TF he wants. Maybe if you had more instructors for such large groups, you'd have a better handle on them. If these issues are addressed, i will be delighted to change my review. For now, it stands unfiltered.
