I've been a happy Travelpro customer for about 15+ years now. Their carry-on roller bags have been solid and reliable for my many travels through/on different airports, trains, vehicles, streets, sidewalks, and unpaved paths under a variety of weather and conditions. Simply put, I recommend Travelpro luggage to anyone who travels with any regularity. My mom, who is a decades-seasoned frequent international traveler, recommended Travelpro to me. She got me my first Travelpro bag. Travelpro is one of *the* brands that flight crews prefer and that's all you really need to hear. My first Travelpro roller bag replaced what I thought was a pretty good Samsonite roller bag. The reason why I replaced both bags was the same: the wheels wore out. However, the wheels on my Travelpro lasted several years longer than the wheels on my Samsonite (and it wasn't a cheap Samsonite either). I don't remember exactly when I got my first Travelpro roller bag, but I estimate it lasted me a good 10-15 years. Regarding my first Travelpro bag, the "tires" of the wheels fell apart while I was snaking through the TSA PreCheck security line at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Kind of embarassing. Fortunately, the "rims" stayed intact so I could continue to roll my Travelpro around for the rest of the trip and back home. Rolling around on the rims without tires, it was just a lot louder, more bumpy, and less smooth. I contacted Travelpro Customer Care by using the form on Travelpro's website. I received an automated email that said, "Please be advised that due to Covid 19 we are working with a limited number of employees and requests will take longer than usual. We appreciate your patience." I received an email from someone three days later. After providing the style number for my bag, I was informed that Travelpro did "not have the parts requested in stock. Your bag is covered with a Limited Warranty for defects only. Wheels are considered a wear and tear item and not a defect." "While we cannot provide parts or cover the repair, we can offer you 20% off at Travelpro.com for being a loyal consumer (Happy21)." While I had preferred to just replace the wheels on my bag since the rest of the bag was in excellent condition, it turned out to be a good thing I got a brand new bag because the new bag is just like my old bag except better. The new bag as the same capacity as my old bag except it's lighter, which I love. Travelpro definitely made some improvements to its luggage over the years. The new bag wasn't that expensive either. It was $120.40 after discount and taxes. Shipping was free. Travelpro has a wide selection of luggage to choose from and it can be overwhelming. I used the filters on the website to drill down to exactly what I wanted/needed, the Maxlite® 5 International Expandable Carry-On Rollaboard® ($139.99). It is wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a versatile roller bag. I use it all the time, almost constantly, not just for air travel, but for my numerous, monthly road trips as well. As far as overhead bins are concerned, unless I'm traveling on a small commuter jet, I've never had a problem with my Travelpro bags fitting into the overhead bins on any domestic or international carrier. One last thing - I've always preferred two-wheel roller bags while my wife prefers four wheels. There are pros and cons to each type. I prefer two-wheel roller bags because I can put my backpack on top of the roller bag and roll the two bags together. It's easier to do on a two-wheeler than a four-wheeler. I also have a bad back, so the two-wheeler is better for me given my back condition. The four-wheelers are nice because they glide so effortlessly. I do like that about them. Watch-out for their AI bot/website. While trying to apply a promotional discount, the web-site glitched and I had a duplicate order on its way. Through the bot, I cancelled one of the orders, Looked at my cc statement this morning, now there are 3 charges for the same amount. (instead of a credit an additional charge went through). After reading plenty of glowing reviews about Travelpro's quality and lifetime warranty, I decided to splurge on a Platinum Elite luggage set (carry-on and medium check-in). It was $750+ (which is a lot for me). But I figured it was a worthy lifetime investment. However, when the luggage set showed up, the cartons were opened and one of the suitcases was unzipped and expanded and gave the distinct impression that it had been opened before. For $750+, I expect a brand new product in a properly sealed carton (a perfectly reasonable expectation). I reached out to customer service and provided some requested pictures, just to have them dismiss it as "minor cosmetic damage" and suggest I just keep it. I know Travelpro's warranty is great but I should not have to wonder if I need to take advantage of it immediately upon delivery. It looks like they don't do exchanges but rather I have to return it and rebuy. They have kept silent on whether they will honor the original price I paid (I bought during their Memorial Day sale). UPDATE: They refuse to provide a discount code so that I am not screwed over by their poor quality control. A ripoff. The wheels broke soon after purchase. The website allows you to order new parts online with the model number, collection series and serial number, none of which is included anywhere on the bag itself. The bag is supposed to have a tag on the inside beneath the liner, it doesn't. A call to customer service resulted in the response that they cannot help without that information. read more

Avoid Travelpro at all cost!! We bought two of their suitcases on rollers and the wheels of both disintegrated within a relatively short time; apparently defective materials. Travelpro would neither repair nor replace, but offered a 15% discount if we were insane enough to purchase additional garbage from them. I wouldn't purchase luggage from them if they were the sole vendors, and they are certainly not. read more

The worst experience. Very disappointed with Travelpro. Returned 2 items from 2 different orders together in 1 box. Only got 1 item refunded and they claim the warehouse did not received the 2nd item - and unable to give refund on the missing 2nd item!!! I got all RMA# and FedEx tracking number confirm delivered to Traveloro warehouse on 2/11/26. I tried to order from this company's website, and it automatically populated the shipping address of a former residence. I kept changing it, and eventually the order was accepted. But the order was still sent to the wrong address. I contacted the company, and so far, they have told me I'm out of luck -- I neither have a refund nor luggage. ZERO STARS... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME! AVOID Travel Pro. Pay more $ for any other brand and save yourself the headache of dealing with them. I have been a LOYAL purchaser of TravelPro for over 25 years. They have lost my business and will NEVER be able to regain my trust. My first purchase was a roller board which I used for over 20 years with no issues or complaints. The wheels were easy to replace and it was an awesome bag. I have recommended them to many family and friends but am now embarrassed by the recommendation. My recent 25" spinner bag lasted 2 trips before the airline damaged the handle. It should be an easy repair / fix, but I can't get a simple repair part. The bag is now sitting in a 3rd world country making its way to a landfill. I can't believe that they even publish a customer support number, because they disconnect you without an option to speak with someone. The Online Chat feature is useless as it is an AI bot, that simply directs you to the customer service portal to enter your info, to only go into a BLACK HOLE! They say they will respond within 3 biz days, but it has been 3 months and I entered 3 separate entries with ZERO response. They do have authorized repair centers, but they ONLY take walk in's. You cannot ship to them for repair.... the closest repair center to me is 4 hours drive. On the website, it directs you to Amazon to purchase replacement parts... What??? You go to amazon and there are NO replacement parts there. I am done with TravelPro. This has to be one of the worst $300+ purchased I have ever made! read more

I caution anyone wanting to buy travel pro luggage. Travel pro had a great history of producing quality luggage, but now I will be leaving the travel pro fold as a customer. As a marketing executive myself, I've seen quality companies make this decision before to sell lower quality products made specifically for other retailers so that they gain market share. I think this effort to garner more sales at the expense of quality is a poor decision and will reflect badly on travel pro as time progresses. For many years travel pro in my mind was a name of quality you could trust. With its directional change to market lower quality products under your same brand name, I can no longer trust that I'm buying quality when I buy a travel pro piece. I bought a travel pro carry on from TJMAXX Toplite Elite less than a year ago. Now one of the wheels is out of alignment and the bag does not roll. I have to drag it around. I paid for 2 sets of luggage (4 pieces in total) in November; they were a Christmas gift. FedEx delivered only 1 set of luggage. TravelPro sends an automated follow-up, without any critical thinking skills being evident. FedEx delivered only 1 box, not 2. Instead of actually following up, they say they'll get to you "in the order the inquiry was received" yet do not follow up at all. Other than an automated, insulting email that suggests you see if a neighbor has your delivery or you didn't look in the box fully, nothing happens. Meanwhile, I have twice submitted the FedEx photo showing only 1 box was delivered. The worst customer service and a total rip off at this point in time. I have been using Travelpro luggage for years and have always loved the bags. However, I have always purchased them through Macy's. My mistake this time was buying them directly through the Travelpro website. NEVER do this!!! They charged my card a week ago and that's it. No other notices from them. No tracking. NOTHING. They also have the worst website for the company. Customer Service is a joke. If you call, it is just a recorded message. I purchased a TravelPro suitcase with a "lifetime warranty" online a coouple of years ago. The wheels have recently become stuck, making the suitcase difficult to roll, so I have tried to find out how to get it repaired under the warranty. I submitted photos of the product and proof of purchase on 11/25/24. Although the website says they will process the request within 72 hours, it has now been more than two weeks and they haven't responded. They do not take phone calls. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT ORDER from this company. I ordered a piece of luggage and it appeared to ship quickly. FedEx said my package was delivered but it wasn't. I have proof on my Ring doorbell that no one came to my front door during that time that it was to have been delivered. I was also home at the time and had my door open so i could see that no one came to the door. FedEx is expecting the shipper to file a claim, but I cannot get anyone from Travelpro to speak with me. I keep getting useless emails and texts telling to contact FedEx. FedEx is requiring a "claim filing waiver from shipper" but I can't get in touch with anyone from Travelpro. The Customer Service Department is not good. I would give it a zero. They do not answer the phone and say they are not taking calls at this time. There is no live chat or email to reach out to the company. I agree with the others who have sent in a review, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Warranty is non-exsistent. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The luggage is great but the customer service is horrible. I ordered two pieces of luggage. Only 1 arrived. It took 2 days for them to reply to my situation. You cannot speak to a live person so you have to wait for an email reply. Each day they asked 1 question, delaying the process of me getting my second piece of luggage. Despite them seeing the FedEx pic showing one box being delivered and the FedEx description showing the weight which confirmed one piece being delivered, they took over a week for them to acknowledge that they did not ship the 2nd piece. They never sent me a tracking notice or acknowledge on my account when my order will be shipped. I finally received it 3 weeks after they received my order. If you want Travelpro luggage. Do yourself a favor and order it through Macys, Amazon or another retailer that has good customer service. Travelpro International is the worst I have ever encountered. In addition, don't bother asking a sales person advice. They do not know anything more than what is listed on the website. In fact one sales person try to tell me the piece I was inquiring about was discontinued when on the website it stated that it was a new addition to their line of luggage. I did my research and selected this bag based on so many great reviews. And let me say that for the most part this bag itself is great. Lightweight, rolls great, handle is sturdy, well designed and the dark blue looks damn good too. I am a consultant and used to travel every week, now a lot less but still enough to put it through it's paces. I have been through a lot of these roller bags over the years. I NEVER check a back so I know where it is at all times so when the zipper broke on the outside pocket I was surprised. Pictures attached. But no worries right because of the great customer service at TravelPro, right? Wrong!!! First, there is no one to call or talk to or chat with. There are instructions on the site on how to submit a claim to which you get an automated response and don't hear back for a couple days. Every subsequent interaction by email then goes through this same process. Jose in particular was extremely unhelpful at every exchange. Using this pony express method it took me over a month of back and forth to 1) justify getting a replacement zipper 2) getting them to commit to sending me a replacement zipper 3) explain why the online video to repair did not help because I could not repair this myself and you can see it is the actual zipper part itself that broke and you need an industrial sewing machine and other tools I would imagine 4) get them to authorize this being repaired although they warned me that it MAY not be covered 5) directed me to seedy part of North Philly an hour away from my house 6) agreed to have the bag sent there when I explained the distance and neighborhood 7) then backed out on that promise and said that I would need to bring it there myself ... which would then entail presumably pick it up at a later time. 4 hours of my time, gas and aggravation. And trusting in the process before this started I actually order the 25 inch matching companion bag for about $400 which is still sitting in the box in my house. Well, I'm returning the new bag to them for a refund (they actually do pay the shipping on that) and guess I will just live with the broken zipper. Could have been a lifetime customer but will need to look elsewhere now. So I don't know about those of you out there that spoke so highly of their warranty coverage here. Agreed Awful customer service. I purchased a Travelpro pathway 3.0 woman's tote from Macy's in August 2022 for my fiancé for an upcoming trip in October. The first time we used the tote and tried to close the main zipper the pull came off of one of the sides so now it won't close. A few months later I was going to reach out to them online to see if it would be fixed under warranty. There is no phone number on their website so the only way to contact them is through online messaging. Before you can send the message you need to have the product style number, a photo of the problem and attach a copy of the receipt. Without those things you can't send the message. This was difficult in my case since the product number was supposed to be sewn into the bag and ours didn't have one, the next issue was the receipt, we had purchased online and didn't have a physical receipt just a confirmation email for the order. I finally was able to send the message when I typed in the product name without the style number and just took a screen shot of the email confirmation. So now at least the message was sent. I did receive a customer care email confirmation that also included a summary of what I had sent them about the issue. The reply also said they would get back to me in 3-5 business days. It has now been 10 business days and in trying to follow up with Travelpro on this issue I finally gave up and am leaving this review. My next step is to try and work this through Macy's by reviewing the product on their website as well and letting them know that there product vendor is not being responsive and asking if they can be of any assistance in trying to get me some help. I must say in closing that I have had good luck with my other 4 pieces of travel pro luggage over the years (two carry on and two check in bags) those products made me a faithful travel pro customer, however since having an issue with this tote and trying to get help I will be shopping other luggage manufacturers products in the future. read more

Disgraceful ! I purchased two pieces of Travelpro luggage, I registered each piece separately, and I've been happy with the luggage. The warranty is 10 years. After a little over a year I needed both pieces repaired. I've been trying to get someone from Travelpro on the phone. They don't answer their toll free telephone number. They have't respond to dozens of emails I've sent. When I did get through to someone in their corporate offices I was given the runaround. I'm a flight attendant. Travelpro is the preferred luggage in the airline industry. My problem is with their customer service and not standing by the warranty. read more

I purchased Travelpro luggage from Macy's on Septemper 28, 2022 for a trip to Scotland on September 30, 2022. I immediately registered my new purchase with TravelPro. When I arrived in Edinburgh on October 1, 2022 via Delta Airlines, I found the handle on the luggage no longer worked. I have spent endless time trying to notify TravelPro via its website about the defective luggage but I have received no help. Today I received a request from TravelPro asking for my TravelPro order number. I had clearly stated previously to TravelPro customer service that I had purchased the TravelPro luggage from Macy's (not via TravelPro online). I do not have a TravelPro order number because this was a Macy's purchase. I have now read the reviews on Yelp about TravelPro's terrible customer service. I agree with the earlier reviews: TravelPro has horrible customer service and I will never purchase TravelPro products again. The worst customer service ever. Pretty much non-existent. I've been trying for 3 days to find out how deep the "power bank pocket" is on the Travelpro Platinum Elite 21" (so I can know which power bank models are compatible). I sent the question via email from the Travelpro website 2 days ago, then yesterday, I called Travelpro directly, and spoke to a receptionist, who told me that everyone was at lunch, and that I should call back later. When I called back, she said that she was sending me to someone in Product Design, but my call went to voicemail. I called back again, and she took my name and number, and said that someone would call me back. The next day, I had not heard back from anyone, via email or phone, so I called again. The receptionist asked for my email address. After giving it to her, she said that there was no record of any message from that email address. I asked if I could talk to someone in Product Support. She said that there was no Product Support; only Product Design, Product Development, and Customer Service, and that I could only speak to Customer Service. But no one was available anyway, so she said that she would try to find out the measurement. After being on the phone for almost 15 minutes, she came back and told me that the depth of the pocket was 6.5 inches. Two minutes later, I got a call from a different girl in Customer Support, who told me that the depth was 7.75 inches. I told her that since I had received two different answers, I wanted to speak to a supervisor, who could verify which measurement was correct. She said that she was going to transfer me to a supervisor, and then disconnected the call. I called back and told the receptionist what had happened. I asked if there was a live person that I could talk to, and she replied that everyone was at lunch, but she could transfer me to the supervisor's voice mail. She then put me on hold, and the call once again disconnected. I called back once again, and asked the receptionist to transfer me to the supervisor's voicemail. This time it worked, and I left my information on the voicemail of a supervisor. I never heard back from that supervisor, so I sent another email. I never received a reply from the 2nd email. I had not received a call back from the supervisor either, and it was getting close to closing time, so I called again, and was told by the receptionist that the supervisor was there, but was not available. I had her transfer me a second time to the supervisor's voice mail, and I left another message. To date, I have still received no response via email or via phone. I give up; no customer service, so I can't expect to get any kind of warranty support in the future, if I were to buy a Travelpro product (which I won't). read more

Had some challenges getting my Travelpro luggage repair. Paid the expense to ship it to their FL facilities. But, in the end I was quite pleased with how they handled my requests. Based on this experience, my next piece of luggage will be Travelpro and I would recommend that my friends also purchase Travelpro. read more

Less than a year ago I purchased a Travelpro 22 inch roll aboard suitcase. I've purchased several of them in the past. They have been generally good suitcases and the customer service from Travelpro has been exemplary. Not so anymore. My new suitcase had a zipper fail where it is sewn on to the suitcase. Travelpro has a 3 year warranty so I figured, "no problem," Travelpro will take care of it. Boy was I wrong. First the local repair facility tried to say it was airline damage (not covered) when I've never checked the bag. Then it was normal wear and tear (not covered). But wait, is a zipper that rips off, normal wear and tear? Not in my book it's not. I took the matter to the Customer Service folks at Travelpro thinking for sure they would take care of the problem. If I wanted to ship the bag to them in Florida, at my expense, they would take a look at it. Are you kidding...spend $50 to ship a bag for a $30 repair. To make the long story shorter, and after numerous discussions with Customer Service, they agreed to pay half the cost of the repair, which they continued to attribute to normal wear and tear. This is no longer the company I used to rave about. The company that would bend over backwards to take care of a customer. There are now many companies that make roll aboard suitcases. I'm going to buy my next one from someone else. Why pay top dollar for a suitcase then get bottom dollar customer service from them. read more
