John also gave me some insight as to the age of the table and what it would look like refinished . I know it was in good hands . John called and it was ready for pick up in less than two weeks! I walked in, saw the table and was completely blown away ! The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is unmatched . Shocked was an understatement! Absolutely gorgeous! The next day the owner showed up and it took him 3 DAYS to just cover the cupboards and floor with protective paper. On day 4, he couldn't get the spray apparatus to work. He eventually figured it out, and began to refinish the counters. He came back on day 5 to finish. He forgot he was supposed to do the bathroom and was going to make me wait 3 more weeks. When the counter dried after 3 days, it was patchy, rough, and uneven. I was advised not to eat food that touched it. This job was supposed to be complete in 3 days. Instead, it cost me 1 week and many hundreds of dollars. We told him to leave. We hired a different company to fix what he ruined. They said they've known surface magic for 15 years and his mistakes keep them in business. Do yourself favor and do not use Surface Magic.
