I have never ever dropped anything off at a dry cleaner. So I did not know what to expect at all... I called several places and asked for a rush cleaning on my wife's jacket. Reidsville was the only place to say drop off today and we will have before 10:30 a.m tomorrow which was Friday. 2 other places said the earliest would be Monday or Tuesday 3 days after drop off. I am so impressed with the service the cleaning the communication and overall the cleaning of wife's jacket. No stains press and looking good for her show she had out of town. I was able to get her on her plane on time and with her outfit looking clean. Thank you much Reids for your great service and price for the cleaning!!! read more

We have used Reids for over 20 years after a bad experience with Jack Brown, mostly in NW Austin. We moved to Round Rock and have used the RR location since. My wife, an attorney, had a bag of five items picked up at her office, which was her typical process. They returned three. When my wife insisted there were five, Reids kept telling her it was impossible because their system was flawless, basically calling my wife a liar. They asked my wife for a photo of the clothes: who takes photos of their clothes before sending them to be cleaned. Then, a week later, my wife went to her office on a Saturday and found the fourth item hanging on the outside door knob, as the office was obviously closed. It would have spent the weekend hanging outside had she not come in. Meanwhile, the fifth item remains missing. As you can see below, there are two other recent one star reviews that Reids has ignored. Businesses that truly care about their customers respond quickly to all reviews, especially negative one. We are still waiting for the General Manager of Reids in central Texas to contact us about finding the fifth item or offering compensation. Otherwise, we are done with Reids and we suggest to readers not to do business with a company that clearly does not care about its customes. read more

I'm giving a one star because this is my third time coming and there has been something wrong with the clothes that I bring in to get dry cleaned. The only word I can use to get my point across about Reid's is ethical. They always give the best advice (if you ask) about cleaning. They do a FANTASTIC job of alterations - Maria is a Goddess on the sewing table!!! My father was easily 80 pounds heavier than I am and she made his clothes fit me beautifully. She had to take them apart. That's how you know she is awesome. They will admit if they've made a mistake. Rare in ANY industry. That's another story. The people are staffed well. You can tell the front counter is not just bodies. They make sure to put a good face forward even if their day isn't going very well (I always ask). These people are too-notch. Now.... All that was about the people. The cleaning is the second side of the coin. These people know what they're doing. They've been doing it a very long time. In this business... either you do it right or you do it wrong. The machinery doesn't work itself. The back end is staffed with personnel some of whom have been with Reid's since the beginning. We're talking over 25 years. You don't stay and grow for a quarter century and be bull crap all the while. They're good. And they have good people. read more

I do not use cleaners much but I will definitely be returning to Reid's if needed in the future. Georgina was fantastic and so so helpful!! She was able to get a graduation gown pressed for me and dress shirt washed and pressed with 5 hours. It normally would take the entire day but Georgina managed to get it back to me since my family member was leaving town and it was a weekend. She was so kind and helpful, did a fantastic job!!' Possibly the most expensive, worst customer service, and lowest quality laundry and dry cleaner out there. Even worse, and as others have pointed out, when you try to get them to fix something they messed up (i.e. cracked button, collar pressed incorrectly, crease down the middle of the front of your shirt, missed stains, wrinkled pockets on dress shirts, etc...) they get angry at you and refuse to do anything about it. Called to get an understanding of the pricing, because I would have never taken my items there to begin with. Well I have given Reid's every opportunity to make this horrible experience right, but after nearly 2 months of numerous broken promises, I'm done!! Doyle Reid who is a manager, NOT OWNER initially tells me I had done something to my own dress that caused them to ruin it while dry cleaning. This "something" he said was oxidation causing wholes in the exact area of a pink cupcake icing stain. I had pointed out the spots when dropping the $100.00 dress off after attending a 1 year olds birthday party. I did everything I could initially getting them what they asked for including a credit card receipt from the purchase of the dress, in the presence of their clerk calling the Boutique where it was purchased along with pictures of me holding the 1 Year old and the pink stained spots. Now after speaking with numerous people including the owner Carl Shuley they still have my dress and showing no interest in doing the right thing!! Two clear and sure themes about Reid's: 1. They're pretty expensive, 2. They do their cleaning in-house and tend to do a pretty good job. However, I just can't get past the lack of customer service. Most of the employees I've encountered over the years act as if the customers are an inconvenience to them. They also don't seem to be thrilled when you (politely) inform them they've done something incorrect. For example: I haven't had my pants creased since the late 90s. It's habit to tell the cleaners: "no crease on anything, please." The gentleman behind the counter confirms. I go to pick up my clothes, and low-and-behold, the pants have creases. The employee proceeds to argue with me "well sir, the receipt doesn't say ' no creases'.". It's a bit of a struggle to get them to fix my clothes. This is just one example of the off-putting experiences I've had with them recently. While they do seem to take really good care of your clothes (and the prices match), I can't see myself continuing to spend my money here based on the poor customer service. read more

This place has horrible customer service I would never in my life do business with them again! First off I took my wedding dress here to get cleaned and preserved which I dropped off a couples days after my wedding (July 4th) my ticket said it would be ready at the end of the month but was more like 2 months, so when I went to pick it up the first week of September an employee handed me my dress on a hanger note it is supposed to be in a preservation box but it was not sooooo... he tells me he will call me back once its ready... weeks pass no phone call from him. I called them to see what was going on with my dress on 10/7/15 and the woman said she would call me back in 30 minutes which she didn't do, so what do you know I have to call again and my dress STILL ISNT READY she tells me to come and pick it up the next day which is 10/8/15 let me remind you my wedding was on July 4, 2015 it took them this long to preserve a dress which is ridiculous. Oh and for my troubles they offer me $10.00 off which I think I deserved way more than that but lesson learned never go here! read more

I have been going to Reid's for 21 years. Started at the one on Far West. Then when this shop opened in Round Rick transferred to this one since it was closer to our house. Joe used to own it, it was sold several years ago and things changed a bit but the old staff ensured things stayed the same. There were a couple of rough times in the transition but they are ensuring the Reid's quality and reputation is not tarnished. At this location Olivia at the front counter is amazing. Maria with alterations amazing. Rosy who used to be there for a long time and left us back. I am please with this location. Cannot comment in any other Reid's location. read more

Expensive, but it's the only dry cleaners I have found that due a decent job. HOWEVER - I am giving it only 3 stars because: 1.) I gave them a white collared shirt that folds up at the sleeve's cuff. That is how I gave the shirt to them. When I went to pick it up the cuffs were pressed down. I asked them to re-do it with the cuffs up, and the lady rudely argued that I didn't request the cuffs up. 2.) I gave them a dress with deep pleats in the skirt part, and when I picked it up the didn't press it with the pleats. It changed the whole look of the dress, and not in a good way. 3.) I have them a top which they coded as being a jacket and I was charged a much larger amount of money for it to be cleaned. My advice is if you go you need to ask questions about how much everything will cost if you are concerned and don't be afraid to demand re-dos. The customer in line before me was having a bunch of his clothes done again, too. read more

The customer service has declined at this location over the past year. When I dropped off my clothes recently, I was informed they would be available the following day by 3pm. When I went to pick them up I was VERY rudely informed it wasn't my day; however, my ticket did reflect that my clothes would be ready by 3pm. The next response was again very rude and matter of fact that the truck was running late because of the weather. Which was very interesting since it was one of the first sunny and beautiful days we have had in Round Rock in more than 10 days. They do a good job on the cleaning of clothes but not so hot on the service side. They don't honor the coupons they issue. Started to use this cleaners late last year and over the last eight weeks I have spent $332.50 on dry cleaning with Reid's. After you spend a certain amount you earn coupons towards your next cleaning. I made sure to bring the $5.00 off coupon with me to pick up the clothes that my wife dropped off. Was told that since the clothes are in my wife's name (which is my last name) I couldn't use the coupon addressed to my name even though they are my shirts and pants. I get it that there are bad people out there that will "abuse coupons" but really...its $5.00 and both names are mine. No bending by the clerk so...its the principle of the issue and just poor service that causes me to never return. I will go back to Morgan's Cleaners a home delivery service that isn't the most convenient but awesome service. read more

We have been going to Reid's for at least 10 years. They provide excellent service in a timely manner with a friendly smile. My husband likes that they replace buttons on his dress shirts without even having to be asked. We also like $5 off reward we earn periodically. Several months ago we decided to try another local cleaner because their prices were a little cheaper. We didn't stay with them long for several reasons and happily returned our business to Reid's for the better quality service! read more

I have used Reid's for as long as I can remember... at least 25-30 years. They are not the most affordable. They are competitive. The important thing is, when I want it done right, and/or it is a special garment, Reid's is where I take it. I also usually feel like an important customer at Reid's no matter how long it may have been since I took in some laundry/cleaning. I have used Reid's for several months now. Dry cleaning has been okay. I have had multiple pieces of clothing worked on by the seamstress. I usually take items to the Georgetown location & try as hard as possible to give specific instructions of what I want done, but with every garment I receive multiple calls to confirm what I watched the counter person write down. Recently I needed something done to a dress & decided to avoid the calls. So I drove to the Round Rockstore & spoke in person with the seamstress. We seemed to be on the same page. She acknowledged I wanted some of the lining from under a pleat taken out & some of the fabric taken off of the inside of the pockets to form the bottom edge of the placket below the buttons. The dress was picked up at the Georgetown location today & the fabric had been cut off of 1 of the pockets. It was sewn crookedly without any lining to the bottom of the plackets. It isn't the cost.It is the fact that I went to speak with the seamstress & she assured me she understood the request & could do the work. It was a half ass job. Oh imagine my surprise to not only find a halfass job, but the pocket that was cut off was left exactly like she cut it - straight across & wide open on the bottom of the pocket. Really, what happened to common sense? If you cut a pocket off & then it is open wouldn't you sew a seam across where you cut off the material? Fortunately I can sew a seam across it myself, but the plackets are still crooked - can't fix that by hand, they'll just have to be crooked. Guess I'll have to hand sew anything I need done. Sent my suit to wrong stor for pick up, overcharged me, and broke button off my suit cuff. When I called, same girl that handed me my clothes said "sorry, bring it back and I will have button fixed" all while laughing because I had paid 1 day Saturday service and she couldn't repair til Monday. No professional respect at this location. Not only did I not get the % off I had from a referral coupon that I presented, I was charged MORE than quoted on the phone before I brought clothes in. This store is rude and overpriced. Most of the staff including the manager and owner has zero customer service skills. The manager doesn't listen to customer and doesn't inform them of extra charges they impose. I went in to get laundry service for 14 shirts and a dress, and the manager took it upon her self to dry clean the dress since they don't launder dresses. Which would have been no big deal if I was informed of this when I dropped of the clothes and not when I go to pick up items & find out I have to pay 12 for a small dress instead of $2.65. I had to go back to the store 3 time to try to get it resolved. 3rd time the owner after explained to her I didn't ask for dry cleaning said "we don't launder dresses and even if we did it would be the same price". I will never go there again and wouldn't recommend. If they make an error they will not fix it and actually blame it on the customer. read more

I don't even want to give this place one star, but they make you rate it. This cleaners has a horrible staff. The staff is rude and does not listen when something is wrong. My husband took and $200 Tommy Bahama shirt in to be cleaned. When he picked it up it was tucked inside the plastic bag with all the other clothes. When he took it out later he realized there were white stains appearing to be bleach stains all over it. He returned to the cleaners and asked them to fix it or pay for it. The girl at the desk said the owner would come in and look at it. When he returned to pick up his clothes the shirt was hanging behind the counter. The owner had NEVER looked at it and the girl told him that the stains appeared to be sweat stains. They did not offer any money for the shirt or even to give him free or discounted cleaning. The shirt was expensive yes, but the main thing is this shirt was sentimental in that my husband wore it the day our youngest son was born and it was just a sentimental thing to keep it. I can't believe this place is still in business. We will NEVER take anything back here again. The owner should be ashamed of himself, but he probably doesn't care as long as the money is rolling in who cares if the customers are satisfied. read more

I have recently lost some weight and I needed to tailor some suits. They are all Ralph Lauren suits, 100% wool, and are in the 700 to 800 dollar range. But before testing a new place, I had this place do a blazer for my son, a Chaps made of a wool blend -- 70% wool and 30% polyester. It was new and he had never worn it as the sleeves were too long. So I had them tailor the sleeves to the proper length. When I went to pick it up, it was in a ball in a pile (which surprised me) of other items so it had to be pressed. I specifically warned them not to overpress it and leave a shine on the material. They assured me that they knew what they were doing and that the equipment they use is made specifically for that purpose and that it would be fine. I was satisfied and took the blazer home without really looking at it. To my chagrin, upon closer inspection, the collar had that shine that one would expect on a starched, cotton shirt (and in only this case, this would be fine). It looked as if someone took an iron to it with a lot of pressure. I drove back to the place, not to look for a refund or compensation (it was about $70 for the jacket, and $26 for the tailoring), but to express my extreme disappointment since I made mention of my concern before it was pressed to death. If it had been one of my new suits, I would be taking them to court. On top of that, I was told by the manager that it was the fault of the material!!!! This is entirely false since a pure wool suit can be ruined in the same way. And If that were the case, a white, cotton cloth should have used between the machine and the material with little to no pressure, but then they should know that. So if you want to have some nice cotton shirts pressed to a board, this is the place. But if you know anything about decent suits, steer clear. read more
