I worked in the automotive industry for years and was concerned about working with a transport company that I wasn't familiar with, but my fears were not necessary. I had a great experience with Reindeer. The vehicle was scheduled to be picked up between 8 AM and 2 PM - it was loaded onto the local pick up transport and on it's way by 8:15 AM! My relocation coordinator Kim regularly checked in with me to provide status updates. I was moving during the holidays and had a lot of timing concerns, but the vehicle was delivered well ahead of the latest possible delivery date. After traveling cross country from California to NJ I was expecting the vehicle to arrive filthy, but it was as clean as it was when it was picked up so either it was transported in a closed carrier or it was cleaned when it arrived. I was very satisfied. I was being relocated for a job so I did not choose Reindeer, but based on my experience I would choose them if I had to move again. read more

I am writing regarding my recent relocation from Utah to Pennsylvania. NEVER EVER work with Reindeer Auto Relocation company. My new car was delivered after two weeks in the middle of a highway at night. A day after I noticed a big dent on the roof and I immediately contacted the company and explained the situation. They asked me to fill out the claim form and send them pictures. A few days later they denied the claim and told me you had reported dent on the hood not roof! I talked to several of their managers and staff but nobody takes the responsibility. I paid $2500 out of my pocket to repair my new car! Never ever going to transport my car with Reindeer. 1) They said they will try to call us an hour prior to pick up, which make sense because we can't be home the whole day just waiting for the car to be picked up. BUT that didn't happen and I handed in my car in a hurry. 2) The driver told me that my car will be delivered the next day and asked who will be signing the delivery sheet. I was surprised by the speedy delivery service and was delighted to hear that I will have my car before Chrismas instead of what the manager has told me (after Christmas). I immediately called my parents and asked whether they could take a day off and wait for my car. And guess what, the car DIDN'T get delivered as promised and it was finally delivered the day after. 3) When I check my car, I discovered that my dashcam's SD card went missing and the wire were pulled out from the roof. I called the office (5 stars auto trans inc., reindeer is their agent, or at least that's what the lady has told me) and the lady who picked up the phone call was so rude, she kept saying that they are not responsible for any interior damage or lost because they didn't do an interior inspection as they did for the exterior, her exact words were "ma'am you said it's missing but who knows whether that's there when we picked it up." I am NOT calling in and claimed that I missed cash in my car (thank god I took awake my valuables at the very last minute) and requested for compensation. I simply wanted my SD card with my video recording back. CONCLUSION: They didn't take anything besides my SD card. So it's reasonable for me to suspect that they either did something shady with my car and wanted to destroy the evidence, which is highly likely, or they wanted to steal my dashcam but regretted it because its too much work (I wrapped the wire around the car instead of simply just the leave the wire hanging out from the charger), which stealing my SD card was the solution for the driver to destroy evidence of him moving my dashcam. EITHER WAY, it's NOT OKAY and PROFESSIONAL as an auto transport company to steal or use your car without the owner's permission!!!! If you choose them to transport your precious car, be prepared that they will do something shady with your car or steal your belongings in your car!! read more

I rarely write any negative review. However, frankly speaking, this company deserves no star, and all a customer can get is deep regret. First of all, the car was delivered very late and not at the home address. The driver said the delivery could be done by 9pm, but it was finally delivered at around 10:30pm in another place, at a dark night. The delivered car was very dirty, which made me really hard to spot any damage at night. I found and report the damage next day. The intial attitude was good, and I was asked to take my car to a body shop to estimate the costs. After a few days, they simply denied everything. Here is their trick that everyone should be aware of. The major damage was a deep line scratch, which had a length of around 15cm. In the original inspection report, some point scratches (the radiuses were all shorter than 1cm) were marked together, in a form of wavy line. They told me the deep line scratch was already marked in the wavy line. How could a long line scratch be described as a point scratch in conjunction with the others? The deep line scratch was obviously different from the other scratch in the same area, but their anwser was that the shape of mark does not matter -- even a tiny point can represent a long scratch line... To further argue with them, I showed another minor scratch which was obviously not marked in the report. The anwser of the first person was "I don't know", simply denying the liability of that scratch. Then I talked to the manager. Their ridiculous reason was that, since this scratch was created at the same time as the deep line major scratch, which was "already marked", the minor scratch should also be counted as "marked". Anyway, they shamelessly denied everything. If you insist on a vehicle shippment of this company, please do not expect any repair from their end. read more

Frankly, this company deserves no star. 1 star Eek! Methinks not is actually more than troubles worth. I had my auto moved by this company. On the day they pick up the vehicle, I had my van car wash cleaned to show room condition. ( I have the pictures and will post later.) The person pick up my van used a flat bed auto transport to carry my van to move it. However, experience does downhill after that. On the day of delivery, the van is delivered to, not my address provided, rather a place I can't find it with GPS. When calling the driver to help with the location, driver ... yell ... at me over the phone with ... harsh ... tone. Did that yelling help? Nope. Driver has a thick Korean accent that even a native English speaker liked me can't understand. I circle for almost an hour and eventually found my van is tuck in Target's truck delivery parking area. What? Me, arrive in a sedan going to the restricted area to accept my delivery. Wait, didn't they have a way to get flat bed auto transport to setup a proper delivery? Why didn't they do a proper delivery? Once I've found my van. Not only was it excessively dirty. Battery was dead. Immediately, I called the rep and got instructed to sign with "too dirty to inspect". I followed the instruction and parked my van to a safe place. Then, the van won't start. It was 20 degrees and the wind was howling. I had to have road side assistance to get me and van home and fix my dead battery issue. It was around 9 pm EST when I've got my van working. I reach out to the Reindeer Auto Relocation (RAR) next day early morning. I've got in touch with the QC rep, e v e n t u a l l y. That's when the nightmare continues from them. The QC was rude as well. That staff told me this, "the contract you've signed says you have 24 hours to inspect the vehicle. It has already pass the inspection period." Wait, their staff told me to accept without inspection and this QC tells me I don't have the ability to inspect since it is after 24 hours? Why didn't they advise me to tell the driver to clean the van so I can inspect it there and then? Instead, why the staff trick me to take home my damaged van? Why QC responded after 24 hours? So, after more failed attempts to get their act together, it's been weeks now and the outstanding issues are still not resolve. Sorry, I didn't have the time to detail all this first hand experience before. The name of this company brings me goose bump and writing this up only ... hurts ... me emotionally and I can't go to sleep. I am so abused by the staffs from this company and feeling so helpless. Update: The "care" team at this company has gone on the offensive trying to attack my credibility publicly on multiple sites. Be very wary of this company. I didn't "offer to write a positive review" -- I explained that I would be sharing an honest, transparent account of my experience that described the situation (e.g. damage) along with how they handled it and the final outcome either way. I hope it helps others make an informed decision when searching for a relocation vendor. Note that their "simple" document is in fact a many-page legal document, and the implications really are unclear. But really -- in 2015 be wary of a service business that fights and attempts to discredit multiple customers publicly on a 24-hour technicality rather than simply repairing damage caused while transporting a vehicle. Does ANY business that ships you something have a 24-hour return policy on damaged items? C'mon! Original review: I had my Audi A3 shipped using Reindeer Auto Relocation as part of a corporate relocation from WA to CA. When some exterior body damage occurred while my vehicle was in transit under the care of one of their subcontractors, the people I spoke with at Reindeer were friendly but refused to cover the repair cost. The car was delivered in filthy condition with dents and major areas of paint scratched off under a coat of dirt. I was on my honeymoon and a family member signed for delivery (following Reindeer's instructions when the car is covered in dirt and it isn't possible to check for damage) but because it took more than 24 hours for us to fly home, inspect, and file a claim, Reindeer refused to repair the damage. It looks like the damage is from some sort of metal moving/trucking equipment (see uploaded photo), it's in an area where damage was not noted on the pickup inspection form, and after I called Reindeer still-jetlagged the day I returned from my honeymoon they say that legally they only need to accept claims within 24 hours (a term that was buried in legal paperwork but not shared with me when I called before shipping and asked about a family member accepting delivery!). After this experience I searched the web for Reindeer Auto Relocation and found negative reviews and other similar stories about how damage was handled - had I known then what I know now I would not have entrusted them with my vehicle. read more

My experience with Reindeer was quite different from some of the other reviews I read. They gave me a quote and explained the process and then everything went exactly as they explained. We were moving from Arkansas to Hawaii. It was picked up on time and Julie kept us in the loop the whole time with the progress. We knew exactly when it got to the port, when it sailed on the ship and the estimate of when I would receive my jeep was right on. My car was a little dirty, but no big deal. They picked up our car from Bucks county PA - no issues supposed to deliver on 8/22 the latest in FL. ETA starts off as 8/20, on 8/20 the daily status notifications stop so we contact them for a status and later that day get a call back that our car is somewhere between NJ and FL but we should definitely have it by 8/22. Today 8/22 we call up to find out the car is in MD and we will have it 8/23 or 8/24 the latest. It wouldn't be so bad if we were actually in town 8/24. We need the car in FL because we are leaving the kids with relatives that will be driving and picking them up from school. We want to be around to sign for the car and make sure it is OK. They are supposed to get us a rental for the week - so lets see how that goes. Will update this review upon resolution read more

I would recommend reading all reviews before working with them. All is great when your car turns out ok. But if there are any issues they seem to always blame the owner. This is from experience as well as observing reviews. Looks like they pay Yelp for a pro account so they can hide things easier. Work with a driver directly instead. It helps the driver and you get quality service without working with people who will make every excuse in the book not to take and cover your claim. Check Google reviews too. Hopefully things work better for you if you work with this company. read more

I find it so interesting that when damage is done to a vehicle in your care, somehow saying "the damage was not transit related" is supposed to just be the end of the discussion. Somehow you saying that about damage that was done between the time you picked up our car and we take possession of it isn't reassuring to me. I recognize that the claim was outside of the time window, but reviewing it to say "hmm. I do see the giant areas of paint damage that look just like a strap put over the hood. Maybe it was a sand storm??? ‍ Oh well. The damage couldn't have been transit related." I just hope that all these similar reviews that are all rebutted by the same person saying the same thing is evidence of the shadiness of this business and makes people think twice! read more

I recently had a terrible experience with Reindeer Auto. They delivered my vehicle with two badly damaged rear tires. My service store reported the tires had clearly been dragged causing the damage as the tires were only 3 months old. Reindeer claimed tires are not covered which is absurd and I was forced to buy replace my rear tires. Do not use them and go elsewhere. read more

The drivers were very efficient and careful loading and unloading the cars, even though both my pickup and drop off locations were a little difficult. The delivery driver had an additional challenge with a low clearance near my house, but called ahead to figure out the best way to get to my location and still made the delivery window. read more

Three years ago we had a smooth transaction with Reindeer across country. This time we have another car and thought of Reindeer again. However, the experience was not good. 1. Our car was promised to be picked up on Thursday or Friday. I heard nothing and had to call Thursday midday and again Friday midday. They had apparently had some miscommunication and never scheduled the pickup. 2. Our car delivery was 5 days late. Which meant that we would be out of town when the car arrived. A friend signed the delivery for us. We noticed that the car's gas was low and the seats and mirrors were moved. We took a photo of the odometer reading. 3. Since we were going from one business trip to another, we didn't compare with the original odometer until a month later. The odometer had an extra 140 miles on it. Of course it was past the claims period, and they refused to even admit they drove it. 4. We also had to bug them for the delay penalties payment and received it a month later. My vehicle was hardly even used after it was delivered and we sent the claim the Monday (Jeff Wallace emailed us the claims form) after it was delivered (since it was delivered after 5pm on a Friday) We still had a rental car from the relocation company to use in while we waited to hear back from you and then your company demanded we have a Diagnosis run at a dealership. We were paid from our relocation company for the repair, so we are not looking for anything from your company. I just feel the need to review about my experience with Reindeer. Original review- My vehicle was sent across the country as part of a relocation, upon the delivery of my vehicle, there was a broken sensor line under the wheel likely from someone clamping down putting it on a flatbed. Once I brought this to their attention, they demanded I go to a dealership and have a diagnosis run (at a cost to me). The Dealer was very professional and even let me back into the area with my vehicle on the lift to show me exactly what the issue was and what likely caused it. (He said it can be common when vehicles are towed, and was likely just an accident) When we submitted this to Reindeer, they had multiple excuses and reasons why they would not pay for the repairs. They even called the mechanic that worked on the vehicle and made him very uncomfortable- Per the report "the gentleman at the dealership felt pressured by Reindeer's claims department to offer a professional opinion that would support Reindeer in denying the claim". They seem to be very dishonest people and I think most people understand the insurance game of trying to deny every claim they can. In the end the relocation company thought this was unprofessional of Reindeer and actually paid for my vehicle to be repaired! Thankfully the relocation company is aware of what happened and per a VP who worked with me "We will likely not use this company again in the future" Hopefully this helps anyone on the fence about using this company. read more

My move with Reindeer was amazing and painless. A couple days before my scheduled move, I received a box in the mail including covers for seat, tire, floor, and even license plate (including screwdriver). Pick-up and delivery times were very accurate, and it only took 4-5 days to get my car from SF to Seattle. They informed me every step of the way with e-mails and phone calls (with people who are very clear communicators- no accents). I also received a check in the mail for $25 in case my car got dirty/dusty in the move. No damage done to my car, and when I checked the odometer, the number was still exactly the same. It was included in my company relocation package, so I can't speak about the price point. read more

They damaged my car in transportation, I sent pictures and alerted them IMMEDIATELY and when it came time to pay for it they REFUSED to pay for all of the damages, and not only that but they didn't even tell me until after they'd contacted the vendor that *I* had to go get a quote from. It was disrespectful and awful customer service, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!! The response left by this company is ridiculous. They delivered my car so far outside of the rather large delivery window that they are now cutting me a check for $35 for everyday past the last delivery date they quoted me. I shipped my car with Reindeer from New Jersey to California in the middle of the summer. We booked through the moving company that moved our furniture, but all of the arrangements with Reindeer went smoothly... ...but then came the pickup. They were supposed to come pick up my car by 5pm. By 4pm I hadn't heard anything at all and every time I called I was assured they would be there by 5pm. 5pm came and went and still no word. I tried calling the office many times but they stopped answering. I finally got someone around 7pm and was told that the driver had a flat tire and they couldn't give me an ETA but that my car would be picked up. I never received regular updates and the driver finally came and picked up my car at midnight! The rest of the trip went smoothly. They weren't the best about updating me on the status of my car and when it would be delivered, but it did arrive in great condition and within the window that they originally gave me. read more
