I was a part of the planning committee and had a chance to work directly with the staff. Every person I interacted with was a true pleasure, professional, and extremely kind. The staff was really communicative and helpful throughout the process. I was extremely impressed on the day of the event. The planning team and the point of contact was always so responsive and thoughtful to the planning of the event. It really took away the stress and anxiety when it comes to planning a company event for 400 people. They helped us coordinate every step of the way. We got a chance to tour the facility, which it gave us a great idea of the layout and amenities. The day of the event was very fun and ran smoothly. We had someone help us with check in and also was there to greet each guest. She was a very lovely girl who was so helpful and welcoming to the guest by letting them know the amenities and schedule for the day. The staff all had blue shirts, which was easy to spot them and every one of them was so friendly. The food was really wonderful and we're so happy we chose the option we did. There was potato salad, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, salad, beans, pesto salad, and rolls. The staff was very accommodating at the venue, they made sure to have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. To top it all off, we had yummy snow cones that came in cherry red and tropical blue. The kids had really seemed to love the snow cones. We opted to have an open bar feature at the event, which the guests enjoyed beer and wine options. The venue was really beautiful and the trees provided much needed coverage from the summer sun. There were plenty of picnic tables for people to sit in various areas of the park. There were activities that included, bocce ball, swimming pool, horseshoe games, rock climbing wall, inflated golf course, bouncy house, basketball court, and volleyball court. This was such an amazing event and we had so much positive feedback from guests. The staff was really sweet and sent us a gift basket during Christmas. We hope for the opportunity to work with them again. I highly recommend this venue for events!

All the coordinators, particularly our day of coordinator, Steph, were super communicative throughout the whole process leading up to the day of our wedding feel very smooth + removed a lot of the stress. They were able to take care of a lot of the logistical details we didn't want to worry about while still working with us to customize things that made the wedding feel special/personal as well as coordinate with some outside vendors we brought in. They put in all the work up front so that the actual day felt very smooth and worry-free. The venue is also beautiful. The only small negative was that we had to move guests to the dance floor, which is a bit smaller/crowded for speeches since apparently they can't use mics in the dinner area, but I think this is due to some regulation out of their control. However, they still handled this transition well - it was just a bit inconvenient. Overall, would definitely reccomend!

The ceremony was outside, partially exposed to sun but the couple provided fans and the area was also surrounded by trees. After the ceremony we went to the atrium gathering area for photos and then headed up to the covered area area behind the mansion to start on drinks and finger food. Since the entire event was from 12-5 we had a late lunch and not quite dinner "Linner" The spread included an array of salads, prime rib, vegetables, fruit, chicken breast and rice pilaf. I feel like I'm missing some, because it was go, go, go that day. The couple had yummy cupcakes available after everyone ate and we were able to dance and enjoy the rest of the party. This was actually a perfect day and time to have the wedding, becasue we have been having really yucky weather and cold. But it was a gorgeous day and I'm sure the couple was able to relish in all the love and not stress with the help of the staff at this venue.

You fall in love with the beauty of the place & Lien seems nice, until the contract is signed, then all bets are off. We are a basic, calm, friendly & kind family; we had reasonable expectations, BUT, there were so many disappointments--hidden charges, spontaneous unreasonableness from Lien, lackadaisical kids who I guess are family members that work cheap for her without enthusiasm...ruined it for me. And what is her issue with vendors?? I guess she doesn't get a cut so she makes it extremely painful for you if you don't go with hers, very passive-aggressive behavior. I had two family members with professional skills who wanted to be our vendors for photography and DJ, and Lien said ok but she kept complaining to me that they hadn't properly completed her required forms--my family members told me they had completed the forms multiple times already, but Lien told me no. She called me up a week before the wedding to say if she didn't get the forms, we would have no vendors for these two important roles. My niece was almost in tears saying she would submit the forms again. We had to pay extra to have access to venue an hour early, we had to pay extra for anticipated bar because we paid extra for guests to stay longer and relax after the bridal party departed. However her staff/kids came out and started clearing off tables as soon as the bride-groom left, even though we still had at least an hour, maybe an hour & a half paid for, so guests started leaving since they thought it was time. Also, it was 100 degrees that day and Lien said she did not have any space in her refrigerator to keep our small 20 inch 2 layer cake, the one for the bride & groom. How can that be? Honestly, I wish we would have chosen somewhere else, it was so stressful to deal with the owners. You want it to be such a special day, and you hope to see that reflected by the owners/staff but then you are treated like just another set of fools to be milked for money like a cash cow. Her staff seemed bored and disinterested, they clearly could not wait to be done. My daughter & her groom were shielded from a lot of the unpleasantness I and other family members had to navigate as mom/family of the bride. I would never recommend this place unless it gets new owners. I can't believe the good reviews, my experience was just so bad. We paid a lot and didn't even try to adjust the costs after they shut us down early for no reason, it wasn't worth dealing with them. It is a shame, the place is really lovely.

As soon as we were met by a Docent in period dress the mood was set. Walking over the bridge to the house she started to tell the history of the Glass Family and the Valley as it was in 1877. Stepping though the door is really a step back in time. The nine room house is decorated as it would have been when the Glass family lived there. Everyone of the nine rooms was clean and not a bit of dust could be seen on the many knickknacks that the Victorians adorned their homes with. Everything in the house is original to the period. While the rugs, wallpaper, and some of the fabrics on furniture are new, they are all period reproductions. The knowledge that the two docents, Pat and Kim, shared was amazing. In addition to the story of the Glass family and the San Ramon Valley, they peppered their talk with some CA. history. I came away with even more of an appreciation of women in the 19th century working in those long dresses There is a connection between the Glass family and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I want to give an honest review and let others know how it really is to stay here. This location operates and presents like family run hotel, not a Hyatt Brand. Everything is cheap or low budget, except for the pool. We needed to take a quick trip to the Bay Area to see a theatre show in Martinez. I checked reviews and rates and this location came up as an option. Price, location to the theatre venue, Yelp Ratings, Yelp Reviews, and the pool is what helped me decide on this place. We called ahead as we were arriving later than planned 12a, because of travel challenges. The person on the phone was assured us that someone would be there. They gave us instructions for very late check in. We arrived and the person at the front desk granted us access inside. He was able to assign us a room and offer additional bedding if the room did not have it for the sofa sleeper. We did end up needing the additional bedding, so we made yet another trip downstairs to get it. We had problems. It was 12:30a and the room keys did not work. We went down to the front desk 3-4 times to try to get it mitigated. The front desk person was only able to get one of the room keys to work so we had to use that one key to get our luggage up, park the car, and navigate at 1:30a to get situated in the room. The next day the hotel staff was able to get us 2 of 3 room keys working, very inconvenient. The room was OK. It was setup ok, but the carpet, TVs, and appliances are dated. The sofa sectional is modern but cheap. The TV remotes never properly worked fully. There is a king bedroom, with french doors to separate the living room sectional seating area; which also includes the kitchenette. Overall, the carpet was aesthetically disappointing. The TVs are also dated. The bathroom is a standup shower no tub, and a toilet, with the vanity as a walkthrough next to the king bed. The bathroom vanity is very dated but clean. There are not enough towel racks or hooks for 3 people to stay here. We were doomed next to the stairwell of the hotel. All hours of the night loud banging noises of people and children walking and screaming and jumping up and down the staircase behind our King bedroom. Pros: Pool is very nice, In and Out across the street, free breakfast daily 6a-9a, kitchenette is decent, lighting is decent in rooms Cons: Dated, needs refresh, hallway carpets are bland and unappealing, breakfast is cheap and not tasty, lots of spider webs in the window corners in room, room key system doesn't work well. Parking is packed.
