You stay in the room with your critter while she is doing her exams, and this is much less stressful on the dogs. Tania is always learning and adding new diagnostics in. I don't feel I'm a overbearing pet-parent but I get treated insignificantly and as if It's burdensome should I speak at all. Also not a very open policy facility in terms of inquisition; you can expect gatekeeping the entire way through with their practice - it's a "Come spend a minimum of $100 bucks to get any question answered" kind of place. This however seems the usual across Loudoun County Vet practices. Take that as you will. I would not return. I will update once I find a practice I'm content with.

After spending three nights at an emergency vet, with countless tests and mounting bills, Brown was only getting worse. I truly thought I was going to lose him. Desperate and scared, I reached out to my breeder, Sean Donovan (Friendly Kittens) who urged me to see Dr. Campbell at Blue Ridge. From the moment we walked in, I felt hope for the first time. Dr. Campbell didn't just treat Brown -- she saw him. She understood the urgency and handled everything with such care, focus, and professionalism. She didn't sugar coat things which I appreciated. Within 24 hours of her treatment, Brown started eating again. He got up and walked around. After days of watching him fade, seeing those small signs of life brought me to tears. I have paid nearly $1500. to this group after paying $8K for emergency surgery at the Winchester Emergency Clinic, on a little, dog rescue. I asked them to please do an ultrasound on the dog to see where she likely has adhesions where the extensive abdominal surgery occurred, in her pelvis. But they did not, they wanted to go another route & run up the bill as they are a only a bourgeois vet clinic. The vet for my horses charges far less than these ppl charge for dogs. Their techs think they are Hopkins-educated & New Bolton Trained Professors who, when challenged on the phone as to whether the car was within the Standard of Care, they yell & hang up.

We have used H&P for over a decade, the new staff refused our order for Interceptor plus heart worm…read moremedicine because the dogs did not have a full 12 months left before their tests. We had been going to H&P regularly, this was not a new thing. So unless you immediately buy 12 months of medicine from them, they deny the script that was paid for. New staff= really poor customer care, they seem to only be interested in squeezing every dollar out of their clients. Taking all of our animals to another clinic...after over 10 years!!!
